"I don't want to go to school. I don't need it. Let's just turn around and go home." Marcus gave me an annoyed look and continued to ignore me. I sigh and turn the other way where Alexander was sitting. He shrugged hi shoulders and then turned to look out of the window. At this point there wasn't anything to argue anymore.
"You need an education so you can be successful in the future. Alexander is going to help you out. I made sure that the two of you would be in the same classes." I gave him a side eyed look.
"Whatever. Do I really have to wear this ugly ass uniform though!? This shit is itchy as hell!" I could hear Alexander chuckle under his breath. I couldn't help but fawn over how cute it was. I looked at my reflection in the T.V screen. The uniform was white and red, long sleeve, a red tie and a pair of shiny ass black shoes. I hate how I look in it, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying the sight of Alexander in it. He looks great in everything. My thoughts were interrupted when the limo came to an abrupt stop. I almost fell over in my seat.
"We're here. Go inside. I'm going to watch you go inside, just to be sure." I rolled my eyes and grabbed my book bag. The driver came around and opened the door for us. Alexander stepped out first and I slugged my way out behind me. There was a small group of kids sitting outside of the school on the steps. When they saw Alexander they began to wave at him. I heard him heave a sigh.
"Dude. If you don't like them, tell them to leave you alone." he looked down at me and gave me a disappointed expression.
"That would be rude and it's not that I don't like them. It's that they never leave me alone. They only want to be my friend to get close to your dad anyway." I couldn't help but look at them with disgust. They started to make their way over to us. The first to reach us was a girl. She was short with short dark-brown hair. Once she was right in front of us she opened her mouth to speak but then just stood there and stared at me. Then all of a sudden she gasped super loud and beckoned the other kids to come quicker. Once they were all standing around us they all just stood there staring at me.
"What! Do I have something on my face? Why are you staring at my face!?" the girl tapped one of the other girls and then shook her.
"You look just like Marcus Jones. You could be..." she looked past us to see that the limo was still sitting behind me. My dad was sitting with his shades on looking out the window at us. I waved my hand at him to leave, but he shook his head no. I rolled my eyes and turned back to the girl.
"Yes I do. I'm Tyler Jones. Marcus Jones is my dad." I turned back around to him. "My dad who should leave!" I could visibly see him sigh and then mouth something to the driver. After a few seconds the limo pulled off and drove away. I crossed my arms, glad to be rid of him just for a bit. I could feel a hand rest on my head. I looked up to see Alexander giving me a thumbs up. I couldn't help but smile.
"So you guys are like...cousins now right? What's that like?" I rolled my eyes at them, but they didn't seem to get that I was annoyed with them. Alexander just stood there quietly. I guess he was used to their constant annoyance.
"It's really great. We basically just met and we're already pretty much best friends. I guess it's just a family thing." I gave a bright smile while I screamed in frustration on the inside. They all stared at me for a moment and then glanced at Alexander. He gave them a thumbs up and they seemed happy with that gesture. Their main girl whipped around to my side and slipped her arm around mine.
"I think we'll get along just nice. I'm Jane Foster and these are my and now your friends. We have Kylie Main, Justen Kamble, Sarah Dupan and Marcelis Bakers. They will be your new group. I don't know who you had before but they could never beat this, sorry to say." she tugged on my arm and we all walked into the school. The halls were long with many doors, the walls were decorated with student made art and the students were extremely obnoxious. I could hear some of the conversations that were going on as we walked past. People were talking about the new things their parents got them and how their family's make more money than others. They sounded like every rich white girl in any movie.
"Don't mind them. They're jealous of everyone else, so they beg mommy and daddy to buy them something new every other day so they can one-up someone. Don't feed into their games." we all turned around to see a tall boy who just happened to come out of nowhere. He was actually really handsome. From his curly light brown hair, his hazel eyes and perfect jawline paired with the clear outline of his muscles through his uniform, he had me drooling. Dear god, you really do love me. Thank you for blessing me with this sight.
"And you are?" Jane took the lead by asking him straight forward, yet you could hear in her voice that she was flirting. As if he didn't even notice her he extended his hand to me.
"My name is Evan Meralis. I couldn't help but notice that you're new here. I wanted to formally introduce myself." I took a moment and analyzed him. The way he was looking at me, it was ike he wanted something from me. I looked over at Alexander, who didn't seem to like Evan.
"I'm Tyler Jones. Nice to meet you." I didn't know what he wanted, but I guess I could get used to that face. I grabbed his hand and gave it a shake, but when I tried to pull away he squeezed my hand. I couldn't move my hand. I didn't like this at all. I know he's hot and all but i'm not here to fraternize with anyone. Actually I was forced to come here so this is even worse. All of a sudden Alexander grabbed my forearm and pulled my hand away. The two of them looked at eachother with such hatred. For a moment I thought the two of them where going to start fight, but the bell rang. Talk about being saved by the bell. Evan tore his sight from Alexander and then focused on me again.
"I'll be seeing you around. See you later, Tyler." then he turned around and walked away. I don't understand what just happened, but I know that its completely wrong for me to think that it was super hot. Alexander grabbed my arm and began to pull me down the hall in the other direction. When we got to the class everyone turned around and looked at us. Kylie stepped in front of us and glared at everyone. They all looked the other way. I guess she'd the scary type. One look from her and everyone is scared. Maybe it's best that this is the friend group that I got stuck with, even if this school is weird as hell. The teacher walked into the classroom and put her things down on her desk. She looked up and scanned the room. She looked right at everyone and then just at me.
"Oh! I thought you'd be here a bit later. Please come up to the front to introduce yourself to the class." everyone instantly turned around and stared at me. I couldn't help but look around the room at all of those unknown faces. I felt like was going to be sick. Out of everyone who was staring I noticed one person more than anyone else. There was a girl sitting in the front row next to the board. She glanced my way for a moment and then looked back up at the teacher. She was a ginger with freckles all over her face, but what really caught my attention was her bright green eyes. She seemed so unfazed by everyone. Everything about her screamed awesome. I literally have to be her friend or I won't survive this school. I walked up to the front of the and gave a slight wave.
"Hi. My name is Tyler Jones and I don't want to be here. I won't be here for long, trust me so you can just pretend i'm not here and keep your comments and opinions to yourself. Now where's my seat." I looked back at the teacher who gave me a knowing look as if she knew I was going to say something like that.
"You're new, so i'm going to pair you with the smartest kid and she'll be able to help you catch up with us...while your with us. Clair Anderson, raise your hand." my heart sunk from my chest when the ginger in the front row raised her hand. She's smart and cool. I'm loving this day so far. The teacher points to the desk next to her which was occupied by a girl with huge glasses. "Corey, please move your seat so that Tyler can sit with Ms. Anderson." the girl sighed and gathered her things before walking past me to find a different seat. As she walked by I whispered "sorry" to her. She gave me a little smile and then kept going. I hung my bag on the back of the chair and sat down.
"You might want to pull out a note book and a pen because I teach fast and I don't like to repeat myself." I looked over at Clair for a moment before doing as she said.
"You might want to get used to repeating yourself if you're going fast because i'm a bit slow." she smirked at my comment and then handed me her note book. She gave e a smile and then tossed me a piece of paper. I don't know when she wrote the note or how she did it without me noticing, but she did. I opened the note and it read: I wasn't even going to say it once. Copy my notes and we can go over them at lunch time in the library.
"Well played." I thought it would be super hard to empress her. I went in front of the class and said all that stuff about not caring so I guess that's what caught her attention. This is great. She doesn't just want to be my friend because of Marcus. I wonder how long this is going to last before something decides to come and ruins it all.
