Chapter 5

"That overbearing man is your son, Uncle? But how? You and Auntie are very humble? Why did you have him as your son?" Drew said still not believing what she heard.

"Drew!" General Bautista reprimanded his daughter.

"Sorry, Uncle." Drew said apologetically but Lieutenant General Garcia laughed.

"He's really like that. Because he used to stay abroad and his always with male colleagues, there was never anyone who scolded him to be a little humble." Lieutenant General Garcia said.

"I see." Drew said.

"So, I'm letting you scold him once in a while. Remind him if he's hitting below the belt." Lieutenant General Garcia said winking at Drew.

"Really? Don't worry Uncle, I'll do my best to teach him to be a better man." Drew said with twinkling eyes.

"Be ready, I had your father's approval now so I can do whatever I want with you, hahaha." Drew said inwardly.

"Did he recovered already?" General Bautista asked that made Drew curious.

"I'm hoping that Epsilon can help him overcome his depression." Lieutenant General Garcia said looking at Drew.

"Depression?" Drew asked curiously.

"Chase only accepted missions a year ago but he's doing it alone. He had his team before but an accident occurred and took the lives of his teammates. He's the only survivor because his best friend protected him." Lieutenant General Garcia said continuously.

Drew was in shocked to hear Chase's team. Emotions ran through her mind. Fear for Epsilon and sadness for Chase. She kept quiet for a while. At first she was thinking on how to punish Chase for his arrogance but now, she doesn't know how to help him overcome his depression.

"I hope you can lead my son to the right path and make him accept the reality that it's not his fault. I want him to return to the service because he's really good at it but I don't want to force him." Lieutenant General Garcia said looking at Drew.

"I'll try Uncle but, I can't promise anything yet." Drew said. Lieutenant General Garcia smiled.

"Okay! For Monday and Tuesday, it will be Drew and Chase. Wednesday and Thursday it's on me and Lou. Friday and Saturday, it's Shawn and Spencer." Dylan said writing their new schedules for cooking and cleaning.

"And for Sunday, it's our rest day! We're hanging out." Dylan said excitedly.

"Do you think Drew would allow it?" Lou asked doubtfully. Before Dylan could answer, the door opened.

"Speaking of the angel, the angel is here." Dylan said smiling that made Drew creased her forehead.

"Here, look at it. I made a new schedule because Chase will be joining us so I included him already." Dylan said hoping Drew will allow it.

"Okay." Drew said. Dylan and the rest of the Epsilon were flabbergasted.

Before, whenever they will discuss something to their Alpha, it will take them the whole day before she will allow it. But now, Dylan took only seconds of her time.

"Are you okay?" Lou asked with her wicked smile.

"Why?" Drew asked innocently.

"You said OKAY without any questions." Lou said.

"It's not a big deal, it's only a schedule and besides, you're my groupmate so nothing to worry about." Drew said that the team looked at each other. Chase smiled.

"I'm sorry Alpha but, we're in the same group." Chase said still wearing a devilish smile.

"What!?" Drew asked shouting.

"How did you do it? What makes you think that's fair pairing me with him? When did you grouped together without even asking my side?" Drew said continuously and the rest laughed.

"That's more like it." Shawn said laughing.

"We did draw lots to know our partners." Spencer said.

"It's fair and square." Dylan said.

"But I didn't have the chance to pick mine." Drew said. "Let's repeat it again." Drew said getting a paper and a ball pen. She wrote the names of each members and folded it. The Epsilon members can only scratch their heads.

"No one can really beat her." They said inwardly.

Drew made her team picked the pieces of small paper she put on a jar.

"Let's open it all at once." Drew said, so the members waited patiently until the last one picked.

"Okay, on the count of three...three, two, one." Drew said.

"I still have Lou." Dylan said making a high five with Lou.

"I got Shawn still." Spencer said. Drew pout her lips and Chase looked happy.

"So Alpha, it's fair and square now, right?" Dylan asked teasing Drew.

"Okay, fine! What else can I do?" Drew said stomping her feet walking towards her room.

"Don't worry, Boss Alpha, I'm a good cook and best in cleaning so nothing to worry about." Chase said that made Drew looked a him and gave him an angry squint.

Before Drew enters her room, "I want pork barbecue, fried chicken, and beer for dinner!" Drew said before she closed her door with a loud bang.

Dylan and Lou scratched their heads.

"Punishment number 1." They spoke at once. Shawn and Spencer laughed.

"We still have two days to be ready for our own." Shawn said smiling.

"Punishment?" Chase asked that made Dylan and Lou sighed.

"Every time we annoyed her, she will punish us. Either it's on food, her trashes, or on our training." Dylan said. Chase smiled.

"She will schedule a combat training in an instant." Lou said praying it will not happen today.

"Is it hard?" Chase asked.

"What do you mean?" Dylan asked curiously.

"Is she a bad leader? Because if that's the case, I can report her to the Chief." Chase said.

"No, no, not at all. Lou said seriously. Chase felt relieved.

"Drew is really a strict Alpha but we knew that it's for us. She was the one who trained us. She made sure that before we did our first mission we are all set, body and mind. When we're not on a mission, she's our friend, shock absorber, a sister and even a brother on disguise." Dylan said continuously with a smile in his face.

"Drew might be tough on the outside but when we're dealing with a mission where kids are involved, she will voluntarily give her own life just to save the victim, just like what happened recently." Lou said.

Their little chitchats was stopped because Drew opened the door of her room.

"You'll be Beta of the Epsilon." Drew said and went inside her room again.

All the members clapped their hands.

"Woohoo, you're officially a member of Epsilon, Senior!" Dylan said shaking Chase's hands. Lou, Shawn, and Spencer did the same.

"That's why she's asking chicken and beer for dinner. We're celebrating!" Lou said happily.

"Yeah, maybe, she's a little shy." Shawn said and the rest laughed.

Chase looked on Drew's door and smiled happily.
