59. Judgement

Alizeh's POV

After living without Kiara for almost seventy-two hours, I felt my life is nothing but useless crap.

I kept staring at my phone for one call from the police headquarters.

In the afternoon it rang and I picked it up in one ring.

"Mam, we have arrested a man named Alexandro. There is a little girl with him too. We call you to inform…"

I ran out of the apartment.

Till I came down, I saw Layla's car in the parking lot.

"Come fast. We need to go" she blurted.

I ran to her car and hopped in quickly.

She steered quickly towards the police station.

After reaching there, my eyes searched for my daughter until I heard her squeal and my heart jolted.

I looked in the direction. She ran towards me and leaped into a hug.

I tightened her in my embrace, feeling my world gathered in my arm all at once.

She started crying. I cupped her face and wiped her tears.

"It's okay I'm here. No need to be scared. Did he do anything to you?"

She shook her head.
