60. Like A Dream

Alizeh's POV

I never felt so secure before whenever I am with her.

"Layla aunt, thank you"

Kiara said, looking up at Layla. For the first time, I saw acceptance in Kiara's eyes.

I couldn't help to let my tears flow. I quickly wiped them when Layla turned towards me. I had some confusion and she understood it. Layla understood me like nobody else.

"I was the one who gave her that mobile." She scratched her nape with a caught-up look.

I smiled holding her hands. Her being with me gives me hope to look forward in my life.

"Layla aunt is going to be with us forever" Kiara chirped clasping her hands together.

I and Layla both looked at each other and chuckled.

"Is this for real?"

Layla caressed my cheek and wiped something. I realized I was crying.

"As much as these tears are real"

Her eyes twinkled and love flashed in them.
