Perros takes off - journey to master the elements

As Koon predicted, it took few days for Perros to fully recover. In the meantime, his gang helped and got to know the local villagers. The day after Perros recovered, Koon showed up.

"Where've you been?" Perros asked suspiciously.

"I needed to take care of some... things..." Koon answered.

"What things?" Bruno asked even more suspiciously.

"That's none ya business..." Koon said sharply.

Koon looked at Perros and swept his eyes over him.

"Is that all you're taking?" Koon asked uncertainly.

Perros stood there with his gun by his side and his lucky white hat on top of him.

"Um... yeah?" Perros said.

"*sigh* Aight, let's go then..." Koon said and took off down the main road.

When Perros started following Koon, his gang followed him as well. And then Koon stopped. Perros and the others also stopped.

Koon started moving again. And so did they.

"Where do you think you're GOING?!" Koon turned to them and asked cluelessly.

"After Perros?" Esco said.

"So you all are able to use a second element?" Koon asked sarcastically.

Nazo, Bruno and Esco looked at each other.

"And what if we can..." Bruno said with a bit of confidence.

"Yeah, like you could..." Koon muttered to himself.

"If there is even a slight chance that you can master your primary element. And somehow the other one appears, I'll come for you personally." Koon said and continued on.

"Come on Perros..." He added as he made his way further away.

"Take care, buddy." Nazo said and put his hand on Perros' shoulder.

"I won't be gone for too long..." Perros said.

"Well, the training will take at least six months..." Koon said.

"Alright, maybe I'll be away for a while." Perros laughed.

Perros whistled and Delgado came over quickly as always. He mounted him and caught up with Koon. But Koon stopped.

"You don't think I'm going all the way on my own, do you?" Koon said and looked at Perros.

"And what am I supposed to do? Carry you?" Perros asked bluntly.

"Duh, you have stagecoach!" Koon pointed out.

"Right..." Perros turned and headed for the stagecoach. And then back.

When he returned to Koon, Perros opened the back and helped Koon up.

"You'll have to navigate - I still don't know where we're heading..." Perros turned his head to Koon.

"Head south, till we reach the sea." Koon explained.

Perros waved one last time to his gang, spurred Delgado on, and with Koon they finally took off.

"But that doesn't---" Perros was cut off by Koon.

"You'll see... now GO!" Koon said.

"How long before we get there?" Perros asked in all seriousness.

"WE JUST STARTED!" Koon exclaimed in annoyance.

Their journey to the unknown place began. During the journey, Perros asked many questions but did not get many answers.

"So, you are going to train me?" Perros asked.

"No." Koon replied.

"There is a man who, if I remember correctly, also had a lighting nature." He added.

"So... why are you going with me then?" Perros asked.

"How else would you get there, if you don't know where it is?!" Koon exclaimed angrily.

Perros grunted in acceptance and fell silent again for a while.

On the second day of the trip, Perros and Koon found themselves in the center of an unwanted attention.

"Look at that! They have cart full of food!" Bandit #1 said.

"There is no way we can't succeed!" Bandit #2 triumphantly shouted.

"Shhh! They'll hear you..." Bandit #3 said.

"Let's follow them..." Bandit #3 added and he and his accomplices followed Perros without being spotted.

Koon slowly looked around the forest from left to right.

"We're being followed..." Koon looked ahead of him.

Perros stopped and stood up.

"NAZO, BRUNO, ESCO!" Perros shouted.

"Come out!" He added.

The bandits got startled. Even though they knew Perros couldn't have seen them, they tried even harder to remain hidden.

"How?" Bandit #2 whispered.

"I don't know." Bandit #3 mimicked with his mouth.

"That's because they could see your arse since we began following them..." Bandit #1 poked.

"HUH?! Wanna get beat up?!" Bandit #2 exclaimed.

"BRING IT ON!" Bandit #1 threatened with his fist.

"Shut it, you two!" Bandit #3 hit them both over the head.

Perros squinted his eyes and put a hand to his forehead to keep the sun out of his eyes.

"Who's there?" Perros cluelessly asked.

"Did you really honestly thought it was your people?" Koon asked with a look of disbelief.

Perros looked at him for a moment, but then turned back in the direction the rustling was coming from.

"Either you come out, or I'll come closer!" Perros shouted menacingly.

"C-Coming!" Bandits sounded from the bushes.

Perros and Koon took a good look at them.

"Who are you?" Perros asked blankly.

"Bandits?" Bandit #2 said.

"Hmm... banditos..." Perros said in all seriousness.

"No, Bandits!" Bandit #3 said.

"What do you want? We don't have THAT much spare time..." Koon said grumpily.

"Your money?" Bandit #1 said.

"Your food?" Bandit #2 said.

"Rob you?" Bandit #3 added.

"So you want to rob us?" Koon sighed.

"Yeah?" Bandits looked at each other.

"Yeah!" They added in synchronization.

Perros bent to the back of the stagecoach. He threw a pouch of gold at bandit #1, a piece of meat at bandit #2.

"Do I get something?" Bandit #3 asked.

"Yeah... a bullet between the eyes if you keep bugging me." Perros said seriously.

"Now scatter!" He added in a high pitched voice.

"scatter..." Perros cleared his throat.

"T-Thanks..." Bandits said and ran off, only laughter could be heard as they slowly disappeared.

Koon looked at Perros in a bit of surprise.

"You can be serious too?" Koon said in wonder.

"And a voice crack, really?" He almost laughed.

Perros squinted his eyes in a sign of irritation and continued driving.

Their journey took another day, after which the jungle began to thin out.

"We are getting closer..." Koon said.

"We should see the beach in a few hours." He added.

"Affirmative." Perros said.

"What?" Koon asked boredly.

"Understood..." Perros corrected himself.

And indeed, in a few hours the beach was in sight. Normally you would see the ocean surface shimmering in the sunlight, but a couple of metres from the beach was the thickest fog anyone had ever seen.

"And your first challenge begins here." Koon got down of the stagecoach.

"What am I supposed to do? Build a sand castle?" Perros asked cluelessly.

"Wha--- NO!" Koon exclaimed irritably.

"See that fog?" Koon nodded his head towards the fog.

"Make your way through it." He added.

Perros undressed and swam into the fog.

"I didn't meant it that way..." Koon face palmed.

"Oh..." Perros sounded and came back.

Koon pointed his finger and a blast of wind flew towards the fog.

"Like that." Koon looked at Perros.

"Until you make a tunnel we can go through. We'll stay here. And remember, the fog is refreshing." He added.

"And let me guess... Somewhere behind that fog is the guy who can teach me how to control my lightning..." Perros said.

"Yes..." Koon said.

"We'll start tomorrow. Have a nice rest." He added.
