Date night

Lisa's POV

"Ann,I've gotten to school already I'm not home." I said locking my car door and hurrying towards class. "You'll get it tomorrow and submit it. I can't go back home now." I said. She kept rambling and I groaned." Fine,I'm heading back home. You owe me." I hung up and raced back to my car.

Someone was leaning on the bonnet.

"Excuse me?" I was in a haste. I needed to get home,get Ann's home work and hurry back to school.

He turned and smiled." Lisa"

I stared at him. "Hey Azazel I'm in a hurry let's talk later."

"Ditching class?"

What part of I was in a hurry didn't he get? "No, I want to get something." I said unlocking the car door and getting in.

He passed a ticket through the window." It's a movie ticket."

"Great," I said taking it from his hand.

"By seven. Be there please."

I nodded." Wouldn't miss it." I faked smiled and drove out.

I got back to school and missed the class. I was quite mad. I needed to improve my grades in chemistry and Ann just made me miss it.

I pouted when she walked out of the class. "I'm so sorry Lisa." She apologized and I handed her the paper. She hugged me tight and hurried over to the maths teacher and giving him both our assignments.

She rushed back to me. "Thank you so much Lisa."

I huffed." I missed chemistry you know."

"I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you."

I thought for a moment." How about a ride to the beach. We haven't been there since forever."

She groaned and looked at me apologetically." I'm sorry Lisa, I promised to go watch a movie with Ethan."

Curse that charming boy." I have a movie date with Azazel by 7" I said walking towards another class.

"At?"

I frowned." The cinema dumb head."

She giggled." I was only asking you know. Anyways we'll still go to the beach okay?"

I pouted. "Fine."

Ann brushed my hair and I rolled my eyes. "It's just a movie date Ann nothing more."

"You have to look your best. Who knows,you may get a boyfriend tonight."

I groaned." I don't want one yet." I knew that was a lie. I wanted someone to call mine too. I wanted to also be with someone who I could be with whenever I got ditched by Ann.

She gave me the 'I don't believe you' look. I rolled my eyes. "It's okay," I said getting up." You need to get ready too. Since we are hanging out with the guys today." Yea,we figured out we were hanging at the same place with the guys. This would be my first outing with a group of people after such a long time.

She sat down and applied a light make up. I rolled my eyes once more as I pulled on my boots. I was dressed in knee length boots,denim jeans and a casual black top. I have no time to impress anyone.

Ann assessed me and raised a brow.

"What? I told you I don't consider this a date."

"You could have gone with the gown I laid out for you." She said making me look at the gown on the bed. It was a deep v- neck gown and above the knee. I waved her off.

"Save that for when I get a real date."

She turned round." How do I look?"

I laughed. "Hot."

She wore a ruby dress matching her hair and hugged all her curves. Yep,with all these,Ethan would never leave.

The doorbell rang.

"Coming." Ann said and practically ran to the door. I almost laughed at her. It was obvious she was in love.

She opened the door and there stood her prince charming and Azazel. She smiled warmly. "Come in."

He paused at the doorway looking unsure. Slowly he walked into the house. Azazel made a move to follow but he stopped him. "Don't." Ethan's voice warned. He stood there and didn't move.

All these felt weird to me. Why wouldn't he come in? What was going on?

Ann had already grabbed her purse and pulled me along before I could ask why.

The ride to the movies was not boring. We engaged in conversations and talked about different things. Then my big mouth blurted out what I've been thinking for days. "Why are you guys all of a sudden friends with me?"

That alone caused a tension. Ethan gripped the steering wheel tight and Azazel knuckles were white. Something was definitely wrong. I was sure of it.

Ethan finally spoke. "We should have spoken sooner but the rumor didn't allow us to. So we had to watch to find out on our own if you were what they said you are."

I felt like slapping my head. He was correct. Few of my high school mates attended this college and had brought those same witch rumors about me added with lots of lies and spread them round. Why did I forget that? Since high school I've never told anyone my dreams or anything concerning me. Not even Ann.

"You are not what they all think Lisa. You are a sweet girl and very beautiful. Lots of guys wants to talk to you and make you theirs but are too scared because of the witch thing. You'll enchant them they say." Azazel said.

"Told you you are beautiful didn't I ?" Ann added hers. I smiled at my best friend. This witch story has really ruined my social life. But at least I've got friends now right?

We got to the cinema and Azazel took my hand. I felt a shiver and withdrew.

He stared at me.

"Are you okay?"

I nodded "Yes I'm fine."

He took my hand again and I felt nothing. It was like I was walking beside a dead person. No life.

Okay I'm definitely insane. That encounter with the woman at the donut shop was taking a toll on me. I felt life and pain in her. But feel nothing in Azazel. I shook my head from the thought. Whatever that happened in that shop was just nonsense. I didn't feel anything from Azazel because I was just a normal human who doesn't know about people just by holding them.

He turned my way and I smiled at him. It was time I stopped these nonsense illusions.
