Chapter 7

In a certain airport near Embra's hometown, a woman arrived; really excited about the person she is going to meet. Since she heard about the news of an 'asteroid' incident near a certain high school, her intuitions are tinkling that she is going to find something unexpected in here and when she investigated, she stumbled upon an information that the higher-ups from jujutsu highs are hiding.

A sorcerer from Australia who do not belong to the Buddhist temple, that is responsible for 'jujutsu' side of Australia, is exorcising the curses independently. Further investigation reveals that he has made a self-binding to save as many people as he can because of his strong sense of responsibility.

Normally, the only independent sorcerers in a country are curse users; those who are not apart of their respective national 'jujutsu' organization and they are branded as a criminal according to the rules of 'Jujutsu community', a community made up of all the national 'jujutsu' organizations of many country in the world.

But, here we are, a sorcerer without an affiliation to any organization, not branded as a criminal for once because since he was under the surveillance of the Buddhist temple of Australia, he has not made a single act that go against the rules of 'Jujutsu community'; thus ending the backing of the Australia Buddhist temple.

That fact surprised the woman but, she is more surprised to find out that he has been exorcising curses since the young age of 8 when he become a sorcerer of his hometown.

Now, after finding all these information, the woman simple can't go back to her research like nothing happens. So, here she is, in the home town of the young sorcerer that piped her interest.

'A battle with ancient curse spirit that left an area of 800 square meter devastated to the extent that the investigation resulted in an asteroid falling. Now, if this doesn't seem strong for a teen of 16 years old, I don't know which will. I wonder what kinds of technique did he used to do that amount of damage. If the monks didn't teach him, I wonder who did. I wonder how does he view the current jujutsu world? current relationship between sorcerer and curses? and more importantly, I wonder what types of woman he likes? Hehe.. Many many things to find out.' (The woman's thought)

In Embra's house, Embra can be seen meditating in his room. Currently, he is trying to get more efficient in his curse energy manipulation using the new insight he gained in his fight with the cursed spirit. It has been a week since his fight with the cursed spirit and since then, he has been improving day by day.

Every single aspects that made him a jujutsu sorcerer is getting improved day by day, as there are more than one things he wanted to try with his new found strength. During the week he is practicing, he decided to make an evaluation system based on his perspective and named it 'combat power', because he feels that the ranking system of 'Jujutsu Community' is lacking very much.

The system is a ranking system from 'E to Ex', based on his senses and it has four main parts: physical, spiritual, quantity of CE and quality of CE.

'Physical' part of his system evaluate a person's physical power based on their density of muscle, health condition, and how much a person can draw out his own physical power; meaning how much efficient he can move in combat.

'Spiritual' part of his system evaluate a person's spiritual power based on their sensing ability and the efficiency of bring out their spiritual power; meaning can they utilize their spiritual power to combat, search presences around oneself or such.

'Quantity of CE' part of his system literally means as it is called; meaning how much CE one's possess without the help of tools or any binding vow.

'Quality of CE' part of his system is also literally as it is called, but, the way it is evaluated is different as it depends on what kind of being a person is and what kind of personality he or she has; meaning the more one accept their true being and their personality is, the better and more fluent their CE is.

For example, the sorcerer who follows their own desires and ambitions without any hesitation, being true to their own being, have more smooth and potent curse energy. Even if the quantity of CE is the same, the quality of CE will be different between a sorcerer who has not found his goal in life and a sorcerer who has.

In the same way, Embra's CE quality also get better with the increase in his quantity after overcoming life-and-death struggle and his status look like this,

A normal human will have Rank 'E' in all aspect while a normal Grade 4 sorcerer will haveCpr or 'Combat power' of D to C while the Grade 3 sorcerer will have CP of C to B and so on. To compare Embra's status, this is the status of Monk Weizaya according to what Embra sensed,

Comparing them, Embra is not yet the level of Monk Weizaya but, this evaluation system is also not an absolute system to measure a person's power because one's power can change depending on the situation, environment and willpower of a person. The evaluation system is there only to evaluate a person's base power without calculating their innate curse technique or any curse tool a sorcerer may carry.

Back to present,

While Embra is meditating, he sensed a powerful presence approaching his house, making him opens his eyes before frowning them as he do not recognize the presence.

'Just from the presence alone, he or she is definitely 'S-rank'. Judging by their fine control of CE, they might be on SS rank. Shit, Are they from other countries? I expected the news to spread but, they are coming to meet me in person? Ok. I definitely need to inform Monk Weizaya.' (Embra's thought)

Making the decision based on what he could sense from his Haki, Embra was about to contact Monk Weizaya with the communicating talisman that the Monk gave him in case of emergencies. However, Konan stopped him.

'Wait, Embra. I can't sense any hostility from them. Beside, we are in the middle of city, they should not be stupid enough to fight here, if they are not curse users, that is. For safety, why not use the shikigami to contact them. You have not proficient in using it but, simply talking with them should be easy for you, right?' (Konan's thought)

Yes, Embra has been teaching him other jujutsu techniques she knew as she found out that Embra didn't know how to do other jujutsu technique beside his innate technique and simple barrier, 'curtain', that Monk Weizaya taught him out of kindness.

But, as expected, even with his increased capability, Embra is still far from mastering the technique of shikigami and at most Embra can do currently is to converse through a shikigami in a certain radius.

Accepting Konan's judgement, Embra sent out his shikigami which is a plain bird-shaped onigami with shikigami technique drawn inside.

Concentrating deeply, Embra sent out the bird to the biggest presence nearby that is heading to Embra's house.

When the distance is almost 200 meter away, Embra's current limit, the bird come in contact with the woman who stepped off from a bike which she rented not long ago. Obviously, Embra can't see her face or physical appearance beside the immerse cursed energy inside her.

'The Shikigami technique is quite an ametur job but, the fact that he sensed me even in this distance tells that he may have some kind of sensing technique. But, does it related to his innate technique that destroyed quite a big area? Hm. Questions.. Questions.. Oh well. For now, let's make a positive first impression.' (The woman's thought)

Suffice to say, the woman is quite surprised as she thought she is doing a good job of hiding her curse energy on her way here but, she leave it up to the possibility that they may have sensing technique before proceed to talk with the bird in an alleyway after putting up a small curtain around her.

"Hello there. My name is Yuki Tsukumo. I am a special-grade sorcerer from Japan, here to find out more about you and get to know you more. So, wanna talk?" (Yuki)
