The King stood beside Marcus, he had seen what had happened and the male didnt mean it. He had noticed too late when Marcus was falling. He didnt find it fair that they blamed him when it was an accident.
He got why they were mad but Marcus couldn't be blamed. Accidents happened with everyone and being new in Zayion had nothing to do with it.
"That is no way to speak," he scolded. "He said he is sorry," the king added.
He didnt even realise that by taking a stance for Marcus he was already picking a side. His sister was stunned, it was the first time that her brother spoke to her in that tone.
She peered at the man that her brother scolded her for. She found nothing so special about him that the king would treat her like that for him.
