He had no idea that there were other role-players in this world, let alone that they could be zombies. That explained why one of them had evolved so fast and had such abilities in just one day, but that meant that he could get completely crushed by another stronger person or zombie who has more fighting or commanding experience.
Jake pulled a dark blue stat gel that he recognised from online pictures. It was many times larger than the rest he had eaten. It would finally give him more magic stats, but more importantly unlock mana.

He was happy to get some stronger stats, but the bulk of his power would come from his cybernetics now. He honestly wouldn't need it with the insane level of power he already had, but the stronger he could become the higher chance he could complete the quests quickly.
"Umm…? Did eating zombie bits mess with your brain? Why did you eat those things innards?"
"You can eat one a day once you're level 5, and it will raise one of your stats. More than that and you will start to become a zombie so be careful."
"Cool. Call me Taff."
She grabbed one of the dexterity gels out from her inventory and flicked it into the air, letting it land in her mouth.
"Hm. It does work. Anyway, you set up somewhere, I need a place to stay tonight. I was just getting back at those guys for destroying my nest."
She was in a much more calm tone, and had become much less formal now that the fear of death was somewhat gone. She knew that if this stranger wanted to kill her he would have, so she wasn't too afraid of him, but still had to be cautious in case he wanted to assault her in another way.
"I'm Jerry. I have a group, but they aren't very skilled or brave. I have no idea how many are alive right now."
The two of them walked into the room and called out.
"I'm back, who's here?"
There was nothing but a pile of bodys and a hole blown in the wall where someone had escaped. Most of the bodys were unrecognizable with how much they had been beaten, shot, or blown up. A layer of blood was across the floor, and the zombies could smell it. Whether it was the blood or the gunshots that was attracting the massive horde on the ground was unknown, but either way they had to travel fast.
At this point Jake knew that to get stronger or finish the quest he would have to get back to his own world for a bit to check. Until then they had to move.
"Well that was my group."
Jake gave out a sigh. He was a bit sad, but it had only been about 24 hours since he met them.
"Then let's go Jake, no reason to wait on the dead."
Jake grabbed a tool kit out of one of the rooms and they began jumping rooftops. Jake would throw her over the ones she couldn't do herself and he could dig his foot into the side of the building and leap up from there.
They both didn't have any real destination in mind, so they picked out a fancy hotel that would most likely have everything they would need without too many people. It only took around 40 minutes with the pace they were keeping to get there. Once they were on the right roof, Taff made a plan.
"Guns out, we have to make sure that we are alone in here. Once we are down we can check the rooms one by one. I'll go left, you go right. Once we have cleared this top floor we can lock up and worry about the lower floors later."
"Got it."
Simple plan, but each of them could take care of themselves. Jake kicked down the first few doors to find them completely empty and freshly cleaned. In the hallway there were 10 rooms on each side, but each room was massive so there was a lot to search.
