"We have been blessed!! The Prince of the Nation has come to meet me? Should I buy a lottery ticket today?" Spencer Bronze, the heir of Bronze companies, walked towards the guy who had just walked into the room. He keenly looked at Spencer with his honey-like eyes and didn't respond to his sarcasm.
Spencer walked up to him and gave him a tight hug.
"Let go of me!" Said Syrus in a plain low voice.
"Hah! That was harsh," Spencer pouted and acted as if he was hurt,
"I got scalded by hot coffee, You were hurting me more." He added.
"Oh! I thought you no longer loved me." He chuckled and walked back to his seat behind the office desk. Spencer was a handsome hunk and a playboy. Though he wasn't a royalty he had close relations with Syrus ever since he was young. They grew up together and considered each other no less than family.
"What are you standing there for? Take a seat before your royal knights come here to kill me because I am not treating you like royalty."
"Don't worry about them, They haven't followed me since I left the palace unannounced." Syrus came close to the desk and picked up the pen holder and started examining it closely.
"Tsk...I feel bad for the Duke's daughter, She must have a ton of rotten luck to marry a guy like you." Spencer spat words of sympathy in the most unsympathetic manner.
Syrus's eyes froze and he turned around slowly towards Spencer. "I am here for that reason,"
Spencer's head tilted a little, "WHat do you mean?"
"I received a letter from the Queen, She said that my first anniversary is approaching and I have to attend it…" He looked irritated.
"And?..." Spencer stretched the word. "What do you want me to do?"
"I want a woman…"
Thud'
The chair that Spencer was sitting on fell when he stood up suddenly, his eyes were wide open and his jaw almost touched the ground.
"What did you say? Did I hear it right? Did you by any chance say you wanted a human from the opposite gender?" He couldn't contain his excitement. " I really should buy the lottery tickets today." Spencer walked up to Syrus and showed his excitement.
"Stop getting wrong ideas...I just want to get rid of that pest," Syrus pulled the seat and sat up.
"Pest? Do you mean Myrtle? What has she done to you?" Asked Spencer.
"Not her, but the Duke is cooking up something weird, he is expecting an heir and has his eyes for the throne…" Syrus stopped for a while. "I don't want someone with tricks like those to stay in my family…"
Speaker pressed his lips and pondered. "You want a girl who can replace her."
"Yes, And make it quick, the anniversary is just around the corner,"
"Okay, Give me a few days,"
Spencer kept on staring at Syrus with an odd look. "What?"
"I noticed that you have changed your style, I mean it suits you better than those plain shirts that you wear." Spencer stroked his finger over the embroidery, he was pleased with the fine work. "I must say. Your new designer is a talented person." Said Spencer.
Syrus slapped his hand and spoke.
"It's not my designer. I wore my plain shirt to your office but your employee spilled coffee over me in the elevator and I had no choice but to wear this." Syrus huffed in anger.
"My employee? Hah! I mean who dares to do that to the prince of the Kingdom?" Spencer exaggerated. "By the way how come, I never knew we had such a person in the company?" He pouted.
"I am leaving, give me a call when you have solved my problem." Syrus pushed away from the chair and decided to leave when Spencer suddenly;y called out to him.
"You are sure that you don't want Myrtle in your life...right?"
Syrus's steps froze and his eyes formed into a line with curiosity. "Why? Do you have a thing for her?"
"Hmm...Honestly speaking, She is the most beautiful woman in the Kingdom. Who wouldn't have a thing for her?" HE grinned shamelessly.
Syrus clicked his tongue before replying. "If that's what you think, I will make sure not to touch her then." His lip lifted in a sarcastic smile and he left the room.
Spencer's eyes were glued to the door from which Syrus had walked out. His eyes shined joyously before a satisfactory grin appeared on his face. "You are an idiot! Letting go of a gem for a bag of dirt."
There was a knock on the door just when Syrus left.
"Come in." HE said.
A tall woman with an attractive body walked in a sexy manner. She was holding a file in her hand. "What is it, Miss. ROse?" Asked Spencer.
"The file you came to check? It has all the designs that we are planning to launch at the annual fashion week."
"Hmm." HE took the file and flipped around the pages with disinterest.
"Miss. ROse. I have a job for you...Get me the CCTV footage of all the elevators from this morning."
"CC...TV?" She asked with confusion as it was entirely out of the context.
"Yes...Hurry up!" Spencer pressed on it.
"Okay, I will get them for you." She smiled and left the room.
"That design...Why is it so familiar?" Spencer's curiosity grew, "I know for sure I have seen it somewhere before."
He tapped his finger onto the file on the table and stared at the designs blankly. "Tsk...I can't choose...I will just ask Rose to do it for me." He flipped the file and rested his legs on the table while he waited for Rose to come back.
