At the lunch break Eli and Anna made their way to the cafeteria. Fortunately, the tables were still empty and after filling up their plates they sat up in the corner to avoid people as much as they could. Anna half heartedly stared at her food and played around with the vegetables. Eli, who knew the reason for her acting like that, pressed her lips together while thinking of a way to cheer her up.

"Hey! Don't be sad! I am sure you will get another chance to show your talent."

Anna peeked up at her with pursed lips. "I know, I just can't help it but feel devastated. How can the Manager not even look at my design and he just rejected them."

"Hey!" Eli spoke.

"Huh?" Anna made a sound dumbfoundedly.

"Have some fish," Eli picked up a piece of fish from her plate and placed it on Anna's. She knew how much she liked it but because of money issues she would buy the cheapest food possible.

Anna's lips formed into a warm smile and she thanked Eli.

The lunch break was over and they headed back to the office, but the doorway was packed. They pushed through the people and made their way out of the crowd. Just when Anna was in the front row she saw a tall slender figure of an extremely beautiful girl. She wore a shirt dress with high heels. She had a very attractive aura surrounding her.

The woman was looking around in the office as if looking for someone. Anna was having a bad feet day so she decided to go into her cabin rather than stay. As Anna stepped towards the office door Rose's eyes froze on her.

"It's her," She said under her breath. "Excuse me, Miss." She said,

Anna stopped and looked around, she saw ROse looking straight at her. Anna looked around to see that there was no one around or behind her.She then pointed at herself and asked. "Are you referring to me?"

"Yes, The President would like to talk to you."

The crowd beside them gasped, there was a long silence in the hallway. Anna gulped in her saliva nervously and asked. "Why?"

"You will know once you are there. Now hurry up! The President doesn't like to wait." She added and stepped forwards. The crowd shrunk as she approached them and they cleared the way as she walked. Anna was dumbstruck and had no idea what was going on. She timidly walked behind her. Her heart suddenly sank, she felt her stomach contract and a very uncomfortable feeling arose from the depths of her heart. 'Why did he call for me? And that on the day he visited the office? Have I done something wrong?' She searched around for a reason that she would be called out by the President but found none. She silently followed Rose while every eye in the hallway was plastered over her.

They reached the top floor, Rose paused in front of a heavy door with beautiful carvings.

"The President is waiting for you inside." She made a hand gesture for her to enter.

"Are...Are you not coming inside?" Anna asked uncomfortably.

"The President called for you not me, You must enter alone." She replied and walked away. Anna was left all alone in front of the door. She licked her lips that had dried up and breathed in deeply before pushing open the door.

"Annabelle Grey!'

Anna's heart jumped out of her chest when the first thing she heard after entering the room was her name. There was a man sitting behind the desk holding onto a file and reading it attentively.

"Status: Commoner." He continued in his dry husky voice,

Anna felt her throat dry up, and she stood beside the door, holding her hands tightly.

"Why are you standing over there?" Spencer removed the papers from in front of him that was blocking his view of Anna.

Anna looked up at his bewitchingly handsome face with awe. She was not sure why she had to see so many handsome faces in a single day. But the nervousness in her heart didn't let her go. She slowly walked closer to his desk.

"Greetings to the President."Anna's voice was dry as chalk. Spencer didn't give much attention to her greeting.

"May I ask why I have been called here?"

Spencer looked up at her with a jolly expression and gently pushed the laptop towards her. "You will know once you see this." He replied. Anna's eyebrows creased and she glanced at the laptop screen where she saw herself and the guy from the elevator. Anna felt embarrassed when she saw how idiotically she was staring at the guy.

"I can explain!" She spoke defensively.

"You don't have to…" He shook his head sideways. And leaned back on his chair.

"But…"

"But I want to ask you something else." He added. "I read your resume, You wanted to be a recognized designer but until now not a single design of yours has been approved. What do you have to say about that?"

Anna twisted her fingers and kept quiet for a long time. "It's because commoner's like us aren't given opportunities to show our talent." With her head down low, she uttered those words. There was no resonance from Spencer's side. He slowly got up from his chair and walked over to the window. He gazed out at the busy city and smiled sarcastically.

"Excuses! How much I hate these excuses!" His tone was filled with sarcasm.

Anna looked up with a shocked face.

"YOu know? That is the biggest problem of the commoners! They blame their failure on the fact that they didn't have the opportunities while they completely ignore the fact that opportunities don't come to you, YOu have to make them on your own." HE turned around and looked her in the eyes. "Just like you made yourself an opportunity…" He pointed at the laptop.

"The reason that I called you here is simple! I am asking you to use the opportunity you have and make a name for yourself,"

"What do you mean?"

"Allow me to explain it to you." He grinned and walked back to his seat.
