Chapter 6: The hunt (2)
The coyotes started to snarl at us and then proceeded to attack. And then I saw something unexpected, the coyotes' fangs started to shine with a dark green light.
"Shit! Magical beast" My dad shouted
"Well it's not like we haven't killed them before" My mom nocked an arrow and shoot one in the head
-Cool!- I screamed in my head in amazement
-We should worry about your life here- Dabria replied in an angry manner

My dad turned to me and sees me with the cat in my hand.
"Seems like you got a new friend"
"Can we keep him please?" I asked in my most sweetest childish tone as I lifted the cat up for them to see
-That's disgusting- Dabria chimed in
-Yeah, human, you should just be yourself, that tone is concerning- The cat added
"I don't know kid, are you going to be responsible for him?" My dad asked
"Let me heal the cat first, seems like it's injured its ankle" John cut in before lifting the cat from my arm to inspect it and heal him
"Please" I further pleaded
"Well you better clean up after him and be responsible for feeding him" My mom chimed in with a serious face "We do not have that much of a problem with money, so we'll let you take care of him, but to make up for it, you better make up for it by studying hard"
"I got it, thanks mom"
The healing finished, the cat jumped into my arms before falling asleep.
-Must have ran for a long time for him to be this tired- Dabria said with a worried tone
-Yeah, looks like our company can make him relax-
"The cat is so cute" my dad said while lowering himself to pet the sleeping cat
"We'll head home first, Axel get what you can from the coyotes, I don't want Perseus to witness anymore gruesome scenes" my mom said
"I'll stay behind to help him in case there's any more danger, he tends to get himself into unwanted trouble" John said
"Thanks John"
"Kid you know what to name him yet?" John asked before we headed back home
"No, I'll name him in the morning when he's awake"
"Good kid"
-How considerate of you- Dabria said sarcastically

At night when my parents were asleep, the cat woke up.
-You slept for the whole day-
-Sorry human, I was really tired- the cat then yawned while stretching
-By the way, what's the difference between a magical beast and a regular one?
-Unlike regular ones, Magical beast are either born with magical talent or evolved to be able to use magic, their lifespan is the same as a human, if not longer.- Dabria answered
-Are you born with magical talent?- I asked the cat
-Yes, human-
-Ah, I should introduce myself, I'm Perseus and the Female voice in Dabria, a self proclaimed beautiful goddess of death-
-Hey! You could have just leave out the last bit- Dabria pouted
-Hmm, a talented human who is blessed by a goddess, you are too interesting, I will definitely accompany you- The cat said- Have you come up with a name for me yet?-
-Bob-
-No- Dabria said
-Definitely not- The cat said while shaking his head
I came up with a few more names only to be rejected, I mean c'mon, claws is a good name.
-Since you're smart, and witty, Ace, how about that?-
The cat think about it before replying:
-I like it, from today onwards, I am Ace, the cat companion of the future hero Perseus-
-I don't want to be a hero, trust me, I'm very selfish-
-Doesn't matter if you're going to be a villain or not, you're very interesting, I will still follow you-
-Now that we got that out of the way- the cat continued -We should max up our bond-

-You're going to share each others past memories- Dabria answered for Ace
-You mean like everyone of my memories, even you know what memories?-

The cat got on my lap which he then allowed me to play with his fluffy tail.
-I have no idea what you 2 are talking about, but do you want to do it now Perseus? We can wait of course, but we'll both benefit from it, it will take up the whole night for it to complete-
