Chapter 51: Aura
I slashed at him from every angle and he blocked all of it, his hands were quick and deflected all of it.
"You are good, young master" he complimented "I can see why you can win against
"No time for praises old man" I then tried to slashed his feet.
He jumped back and charged forward and slashed downwards, I held down the strike using my sword that I held down with both my arms
-This annoying old man is gears unlike that time I fought Professor Steel, Fuck-
-Well your sword is made from the best material, You can cut his sword in half if you're strong enough- Dabria replied
-Or you can slice his legs and hinder a bit of his movements- Siege said from the sidelines
I finally managed to back away.
"Good job, I will get a bit more serious now" the old man said before charging at me
I was on defense the entire time, I backed away and charged at him. When I was close I warped behind him and slashed down, he turned and tried to block it but I then warped above his head and slashed downwards.
"That is a dangerous move" he said before his sword light up blue and blocked my strike
I fall back down and backed away
-Sword aura, took it long enough, I finally see one in action, any of you got any clues on how to pull it off?-
-I'm not the god of swords, I wouldn't know- Dabria replied
-I'm a dragon, I used my fist or my claws, I won't know it either-
-You're basically on your own- Siege said
-You can just ask the old man- Ace suggested
"Old man, how can I pull it off?"
"It's all about your will and motivation" he replied
"What was yours?"
"My will and motivation is the serve the goddess and purge all of my enemies" he answered "It's also combined with experience"
-Then I got plenty of those, aura exist in this world, unlike my previous ones, so I just gotta put all of that into my sword-

"How long did it take you?"
"Several years of swordsmanship class and several more years of hard work" he answered
"Well that's all I need to know" I then charged in again, but he was still quick with his hands
With his sword aura, none of my strikes went through, granted it does take him effort to block it since my sword is quite strong. He counter back a couple times, but my injuries healed quickly
"You are depending too much on your sword" Jake commented
"I know"
As I kept going on my unsuccessful offensive attempts, I focused and place all my focus on the sword, I took deep breaths as I fought him and focused everything on trying to get aura, it took a while but my sword started to be surrounded by this unknown force, and it was surround by black aura, but it was flickering
"Ah brilliant, very worthy of my admiration" he praised
"It's taking a lot of focus just to get this and it's flickering, damn"
"It takes steps" Jake replied "Let's finish this shall we, you already look tired, we don't want you to pass out"
I then charged at him and warped at him from many angles, he was turning around very quick to try and stop my strike but I keep on warping till he lost his balance, I then summon up all the aura into one strike, but he barely managed to block that
"Your mana capacity is something else" he complimented "No one would be able to warp so many times like you just now, is that enough of a demonstration Professor Steel?"
"Yes of course" Professor Steel then announced "Everyone, take out the wooden weapons of your choice and spar with a partner, even if it's not a sword, he can still give you guys some advice"
I then head back down to my seat
Jake then put his sword in his spatial ring before going of to help teach the students

"Hold steady on your warp gate, young Perseus, if it is unstable, it might go off and cut someone in half as they walk through" Professor Williams advised
"Truly amazing" Jake Walker complimented "I wish I have a spatial attribute too, they are always the trickiest to fight against"
"Perseus is our most talented student this year, followed by young Albert" Professor Williams said
"He also seems to have a presence similar to that of a saint, one resembling warm light" Jake observed "Not like young master Perseus, he has a presence that reminds me of the goddess I serve"
-Please shut him up- Ace said as he was focusing on his warp gate
"Professor Williams, what will our exam be?" I asked as I shut off my gate
"You just have to open a warp gate for as long as you can, the longer you hold it, the better your score, it will demonstrate your control over spatial magic" He answered
"Sounds easy enough, it'll be really tiring though"
"Well you did just spent most your energy fighting last class" Albert said
"That might be true, but opening it for several minutes is still going to be tiring"
I was mostly tired throughout the day that I could barely focus, apparently beast taming class doesn't really have an exam
"Your grades will be your performances you shown during class" Professor Emma said
After that people started showing off more during class, though unlike the first few months, more people found their bonds.
"Well I should talk in class less then, my grades must be so low right now" Lucas said
"Well we should be able to pass" Eleanor replied "Perseus, you have any plans for the break after the exams?"
"No, why?"
"We never finish our fishing during our trip, can you take all of us for fishing then?" she asked
"Well might as well, I don't mind"

"12 years old and he can use aura, he's definitely going to place high in the competition" The head master said
"Young Albert also seems to interest sir Jake, but young Perseus is the one he particularly is obsessed with" Professor Williams said
"Well here's my plan for the competition to pick the captain, it's very simple, I would like your opinions" the headmaster said
The teachers heard what he had to say and nodded
"So no objections?" he asked
"No sir"

"I finally invited him to something, I'll ask to just bring Balor along, I don't want my other servants to interfere" Eleanor talked to herself "I hope he organizes it well, this will be my first trip without too much interruption, I hope I get time alone with him"
