Chapter 71: Copy magic
I then took out a pair of C-rank gauntlets and a C-rank light leather breastplate, and he took out similar equipments.
"Ready...Start!" the referee shouted and Emil charged straight at me with his fist surrounded by fire magic
I dodged it and managed to uppercut him, he then jumped backwards and healed his injury
"Say if you can only copy magic, does that mean, you can't take spell making class?"
"Talking to your enemy during a fight, you're cocky, aren't you?" he said "But to answer your question, I obviously can't take that class"
"Good to know" I said as I warped close up to him and tried to kick him, he also warped backwards "You can also warp, that's nice"
I then distributed my mana all over the stage, creating a field of spatial magic, he tried to warp to me but it didn't work
"Tried to warp didn't you? You should know the basics of the spells you copy, you know, spatial magic cancels each other if they come into contact, with my spatial field, you won't be able to warp"
"Nice tip, but doesn't that mean you can't warp too?" he mocked "I've seen your fights, warping is a vital part of your plan, besides aren't you wasting mana? You should've have bought those spatial disruption tools"
"I have trained myself to fight in any situation and I have a lot of mana to spare" I shrugged
I then charged in, and charged myself with lightning magic and screamed out "Magic punch" and aimed my fist at his face, as he tried to block it, I spun and use my legs to sweep him off his balance, and as he fell, his hands were no longer used to block his face, so I kicked his face and he flew a few centimeters backwards.
"That wasn't even a punch!" he shouted as he tried to get up "Name your shitty moves better"
"You should know that you should never trust the words of your enemy" I replied and charged at him to punch him as he tried to get up, I then repeatedly beat him while he was down, he then used iced magic to freeze me and used that moment to back away and heal himself
We then exchanged a lot of hits, punches, kicks and injuries were piling up which he healed himself using magic and me healing due to my regeneration
"Let me show you a good spell I copied" Emil said as I tried to escape the ice but by the time I did, he already started chanting
"Show us your wrath and eliminate the forces that oppose you, show us your light that brighten the world, fire that consumes evil and darkness, SOLAR FLARE" Emil chanted as his arm got surrounded by intense flames
-This fucker!- I grinned -He copied my spell, awesome!-
-Now is not the time to be proud- Dabria scolded
-Your parents are saying a lot of words that can't be mentioned- Diana said
-They are outraged that he managed to copy your original spell- Damon added
-Your uncle and aunt are covering the ears of your cousins- Siege commented
"Like it?" Emil grinned
"Well my flames are blue, but the regular ones aren't bad at all"
He then charged at me
"I created that spell if there's anyone who knows how to stop it it's me" I smiled as I casted a spell "Stellar blackhole"
A giant black hole appeared that sucked out all the magic that is gathered by Emil, it even sucked my spatial field, I then turned it off to see his shocked face.
"I realized something to your copy magic, it's that there's a limit to how many spells you can copy, you probably seen a lot of strong spells but you can't just copy all of them cuz you need a few small and convenient spells in your arsenal" I explained as he was getting more shocked by the second "Not just that, you can't copy spells which you can't understand, like my phoenix robe, a high class healing spell, which you want to replace one of your spells with, but you can't, because you don't understand the nature of the spell"
-It did took you a while to perfect it- Diana said -You and Ace did a great job though-
-Thank you my beloved phoenix, we couldn't have created that spell if it wasn't for your help-
-Yeah thanks- Ace agreed
-You're welcome- Diana replied
"And your last mistake was using my own spells against me, I know my own weaknesses better than anyone, so did I hit the nail on the head?"
He then laughed out loud and has a huge smile
"I've never been called out like this, you cunning rat" he said as he laughs
"Let me show you the real solar flare" I said as I casted several spells to bind him, metal bindings, spiky vines, quick sand and freeze him to his spot
Blue flames started to gather in my right arm as I prepared to charge at him
"Let me give you a tip about solar flare" I said "Timing is key, you should've delayed it to right now and not used it earlier, from the position of the sun, it's about to be noon in several seconds, where this spell is at its strongest"
He then looked up as he realized what I was talking about.
"Solar flare" I casted as I charged at him with the spell that is a few times stronger than its normal power, the referee tried to interfere and stop the attack, but I was too quick, he only summoned a few layers of iron walls, which I broke through, the referee then used his body to block my hit, they both got blown to the other side of the coliseum leaving a huge dent and cracks alongside the wall. Emil was knocked out cold, the Judge got up after several seconds, but his clothes were gone, he then pulled out some clothing from his ring to cover himself
"The winner is PERSEUS SILVER!!" the announcer shouted
-The referee didn't even get to announce your victory- Siege commented
-Well anyone can tell Perseus got that win- Diana replied

"That spell is even stronger that the recordings, professor Woods showed us" professor Blue said incredulously
"Stellar black hole, such an impressive spell, I couldn't even learn his fire healing magic even though I have the fire attribute" the headmaster said "He's incredible"
"Next is break the crystal, the biggest event" Professor Williams said
"The current favorites is currently the team from Gloria led by Phillip Frame" Professor White commented "But I'm betting my money on Perseus' team"
"I will too" the headmaster nodded "Let's hope his team can win me a lot of money from the professors of other academies"
