Chapter 374: Fighting Helios (3)

3rd person view

Erix despite being in his dragon form and fighting with his physical strength, he for the first time have met his match. Among the whole seekers of salvation, without support or any type of enhancing magic, his physical strength would surpass even that off Andrius and Stella.

His job is to dish out physical damage to Gyes with the occasional support of his gold magic, Diana's job is to fly in and help take on some of the hits as she is now immune to most of Gyes attack. Her job is to also heal Erix, use her death and fire magic to deal some damage to Gyes and to eliminate the monsters who are flocking to help Gyes.

Erix tried to use speed, but with 50 faces looking in every direction, surprise attacks aren't going to work. He can barely handle one of Gyes' arm, and the Gyes got a hundred of them, Gyes use a few arms to block Erix as Erix dragon body is larger.

He got grabbed in place by the giant and receive an onslaught of hits. He bled a lot and is barely kept alive by Diana's spell, 'phoenix robe'. Gyes then hit him and blow a hole through his giant gut and hit him far back. Diana then healed him back into shape.

"That guy is really tough." Diana complained "We might want to go all magic for our offense. And we can back away when he's close, due to his arms and many features, he's very slow. He can't warp either, but he does have a small range of spells he can use from his items."

"I would ask you to take some hits, but you already are." Erix winced as he got up "That fucker got a hundred arms, you can't take all of that at once."

"No, you can not." Gyes' main face confirmed as he slowly walked to them "You may survive the hit with barely feeling any pain, but even you know that the curse have a limit, it will just come down to a battle of both mental and physical endurance."

"Man, your reason for going to their side is shit." Erix commented "Being forgotten is a stupid reason."

"Do you seriously think that's all?!" Gyes' faces then turned into anger, disgust and sadness as his voice boomed "Remember my brothers? The cyclops? They were killed by the stupid Olympians, Briareus may have fallen for their words, but we haven't!"

"What the hell happened to them?" Erix asked "How are cyclopes related to that ugly giant over there?"

"So basically, long story short, 2 was killed by Apollo due to his rage for Zeus, he couldn't kill Zeus so he killed 2 of the cyclopes who made his lightning bolt." Diana answered "As for the other one, he died guarding a cow named Io, he was killed by Hermes. Though some myth, they suggested that Argos was the one who was killed, he had a hundred eyes."

| Author's note: I really tried searching this up to confirm and there are 2 version of the myth, one suggested that Arges, one of the 3 cyclops, was Io's guard while others suggest that it was Argos. Like you know, there are many different versions of Greek mythology and no way of knowing which one is the correct one, so I'll just use all of em. And as you read till now, I have altered some of it for my convenience but I mostly stick to the sources|

"It's always the Greeks, I can understand why you're all so frustrated now." Erix complained

Author's POV

So me and the narrator magically approach Eros who doesn't seem to recognize us. He pulled out his bow and create an arrow out of his mana and nocked an arrow at us. Nike appeared in a golden flash of light from behind alongside Fortuna and got their weapons ready.

I just snapped my finger and all their weapons disappeared out of existence which surprised them.

"Oh shit, it's the author!" Nike exclaimed "What are you doing in here?"

I then hold up a poster to their faces.

"Have you seen this woman?"

"Uhhh...I would say...no." Eros answered as he focused on my poster "I have not seen a person named Baeli Waller whose looks are of a terrible drawing of stick figures."

"Yeah, like seriously, what am I looking at?" Fortuna asked

"I believe I have a better painting." The narrator then took out his poster "I took art class when I was king, it also got more polished when I lived in that basement. The author once failed his art class since the teacher found all of his work terrible."

| Yeah, I failed my visual arts class, it was one of my subjects in 8th grade, I did great in my art written exams, but all my art work were of 'terrible quality'. It really was, I can't fault the teacher for failing me. I was never great at art. |

"Oh I recognize you, you're Perseus. The original one." Fortuna realized "I thought you reincarnated already."

"Well yes, but recognize my partner over here? He's the author, he can do anything which includes me being the narrator." The narrator pointed at my direction "but call me narrator now, I don't want to be confused with the protagonist."

"You're not here to kill us, right?" Nike asked

"Why the hell would I do that?...Well anyway, our goals seems to have aligned a bit. Baeli, the mistress of the 4th wall, she wants to kill Perseus, the guy that you want to use as a host for your master. So help me find her, I get rid of her and everything in this novel is normal again. You can go with your evil ways and I'll go back to mine."

"That's true, we don't want Perseus killed, that will be against our goal."

"Just a question." Fortuna raised her hand "By going inside the novel and living among us, how many walls have you broke?"

"Don't ask, but I need to get everything in order. So help me get rid of her."

"Alright, let's prioritize finding Baeli and keep all our other operation to a minimum." Eros ordered "Nike, Fortuna, it seems like we'll have to work overtime to keep watch now."

"Well bye guys, me and the narrator will go to try to find her now."
