42 Ticket

"I see, your very lucky young man." The man laughed.

"I guess I am." I said.

"I'm Viro, just Viro nice to meet you." The man introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you too Viro-san." I said back.

"He's clear, he doesn't have explosives." Viro finished checking me and said.

"Okay then, open the gates." The man that asked my name before said.

The gates behind them opened up and they stepped aside to let me enter it. I went inside and asked.

"Hey do you guys know where the nearest district is?"

"Oh yeah you don't need to ask that." Viro said.

"Huh? Why?"

"Because when new souls arrive in soul society, they are given a ticket according to when they die and are sent off either to the west, north, east or south district depending on their ticket." Viro explained.

"What? That's a thing?" I asked genuinely confused, I didn't know that such a thing existed in the anime, or maybe it did but I just forgot about it.

A/N: I also didn't know that such a thing existed, I was just searching up something about bleach and I found out about this.

"Yeah it is." The youngest member said.

"Why though?"

"I don't know, maybe its to avoid overpopulation on one place." He shrugged and said.

"That does make sense." I muttered.

"If that's so, then why don't you guys do it?" I said to them.

"Yeah that's not in our jurisdiction, we only guard the boarders, there's another group specialized in that, if you want to go to the place where they give the tickets, go forward for a bit and you'll reach Takumono district." Viro pointed behind me and said.

"I see, before I go, can you tell me which district region I am?"

"Your in south rukongai."

South rukongai? Isn't this the place where Rukia and Renji grow up?

"Thank you." I said and started walking.

As soon as I knew that they couldn't see me, I used void stride to quickly travel to Takumono district and when I did, I raised my eyebrow.

Although I knew that the 80th district of all regions would be in bad condition, I wasn't expecting it to be this bad.

The houses on each side looked like they were about to collapse with holes all over them, the people were like the walking dead.

Having pale skin like the adams family, and walking as slow as a turtle with some even limping.

Their clothes were in bad shape with cuts, holes and stiches on them.

But what's eye catching is that if you look closely on them, you could see that almost all of them have weapons under their clothes, even the children around have a rock or a pointy object on them.

Seeing this scene, I thought with furrowed brows "This is worser than I thought, what is soul society doing? Do they not realize that there could be some shinigami candidates that could maybe become powerful in the future here?"

"Looks like even greedy people still exist in the afterlife, if not then these people wouldn't have become like this."

Although I feel bad for these people, I'm not gonna go out of my way to make their lives better, after all I don't know any of them.

It was already late so I went to the 50th district and rented an inn, after getting in my room, I opened a garganta and stepped in.

When I stepped out of the garganta, it was raining hard, thank God or should I say thank father-in-law that I brought another set of barriers otherwise my body would've been soaked.

Although I have a strong body and that a rain cant do anything to me, having your body drenched in water is still not a good feeling.

I went back to my body and brought an umbrella from the system, then took back the barriers and used the teleported back in front of my gate then quickly went into the cover of my front door.

I rung the door bell and after waiting for a few seconds, Hikari opened it and greeted me.

I greeted her back and went inside, after taking a bath, I noticed that the underwear I just used yesterday was gone.

"Someone's an underwear thief." I thought but quickly forgot about it.

I went down and ate the food that Hikari made, I soon finished eating and told her to eat up then went up myself.

Laying on my soft bed, I closed my eyes and slept.

As usual, I got woken up by Hikari and we did our morning routines. After eating, I went back to my training ground and opened a garganta.

Coming out of the garganta, I went out of the inn and thought.

"Now how do I get to the place where they give those ticket?"

I was pulled out of my thoughts by a tug on my clothes.

"Mister you look new around here, do you need someone to guide you? I know a lot around here, I san guide you."

Looking down where the voice came from, I saw a boy with grey disheveled hair and black eyes looking up to me.

"Sure, you came in perfectly." I said to the boy who's expression became excited.

"Thank you mister! Well then where do you want to go?" The boy enthusiastically said.

"I want to go to the place where they give the tickets to new souls."

"Okay! Its this way mister." The boy started walking and I followed him.

After travelling for a few minutes, I started to saw a line of spirits with shinigamis giving them a ticket and another 4 line ahead of the former line.

"Well mister this is the line." The boy stopped and turned to me.

Seeing his fidgeting figure, I coudnt help nut smile and said "Don't worry I'll pay you, but I have one question."

"What is it mister?" The boy asked.

"Are those 3 your siblings?" I pointed to a corner where 3 figures were hiding, during our walk, I noticed that they were following us but since they were just children, I just letted it be.

"Yes, their my younger siblings." The boy hung his head low and said.

"Hmm? Why are you looking down? I was just asking, here." I went over to him and gave him some extra kans.

"Mister t-thank you!" Seeing the kans in his hand, the boy beamed, as much as he want to say that it was too much for just taking him on an 5 minute walk, he couldn't because he barely have enough money for only one of his siblings, much less all four of them.

"Its alright, you should go back to them now, I'm going." I went towards the line and the boy behind me said "Thank you mister!"

I waited in line for a while before getting my ticket, I looked over it and saw that I was on east rukongai, district 74.

"District 74... Why do I feel like that I've heard of that district before? Oh well no matter, I'll just find out when I'm there."

"All people who got east rukongai please line up behind me!" A shinigami ahead of one of the lines shouted.

I followed his voice and saw him raising up aa banner with east rukongai on it so I lines up behind him, minutes later the man shouted again to get the attention of the new souls that came over.

Seeing this I thought "I know that a lot of people die everyday but this is too much."

After making sure that no souls were coming the man in front started walking and shouted to follow him.

We did as we were told and followed him, we were led to a bunch of carriages with numbers on them like 10, 20, 30 up to 80, 5 carriages have the same number and the man told us to get on the carriages based on our number.
