Acrona continued down the beach for fifteen minutes while only seeing corpses but no signs of life. People had been beaten to death, strangled, and some even could be seen floating in the water presumedly drowned.

She had been paying attention to all the bodies in case she ran into her new parents. She felt a little bad for not rushing to look for them, but it was just a waste of time, in her opinion. They were too weak and should have gotten separated.

The fact she had drones watching her right off the start. Two at that was enough proof for her that the chin hoarder was plotting against her. It was pretty pathetic to plot against a little child by going for their parents, but she had seen worse.

Acrona eventually ran into a group of six, one of whom was the skinny guy from earlier. They seemed to be rather busy in the act of beating the shit out of a girl, and the skinny guy was eagerly trying to get a kick in to vent his anger. One of the guys in the group had already informed them about her a while ago, Yet all but one didn't seem worried and kept going.

She was a little hesitant to show her abilities but realized she might not be able to deal with numbers of this size without them.

All it took was one mistake on her end and getting taken to the ground, and it was game over for her. She would most likely use them anyway, even if she held out. Who's to say that no one else in 1500 people had an ability.

Maybe it would upgrade her worth from being a toy for a degenerate to someone who could provide consistent entertainment in their games. She wasn't sure of it, but would they really let the fat man take her away if she gained enough favor from others watching.

It was a massive gamble, but she decided to take it. In her opinion, life wasn't enjoyable if you never took risks or got complacent.

She slowly walked up on the group targetting the skinny man specifically for no reason in particular. They stopped what they were doing, leaving the near lifeless girl a breather.

"Girl, are you insane?"

"Man, shut up and let her do her thing. Look at how confident she looks."

"The fuck you mean, bro?"

"Guys, don't underestimate her."

The group was having a good time but only laughed even harder when the skinny man had said that. A guy who seemed to be in charge of the group came and slapped him on the back.

"Don't be a pussy; if you're even scared of a little girl, then why the fuck would we bother bringing you along?"

He spoke while shoving the skinny man in the direction of Acrona, who hadn't stopped walking towards the group. The twig had fear in his eyes but steeled his resolve. All he had to do was fight one little girl, and his chance of surviving would be high.

Acrona scoffed internally at this dumbass in front of her. Did he forget that only five people could survive in the end? It wasn't even trustworthy information in the first place; maybe only one would. Perhaps he was relying on luck or had a huge scheme in his mind. It didn't matter, though.

The man got ready to attack the girl. Because he was so serious, the group let out another round of laughter.

Acrona simply lifted up her hand while pointing her finger at his head.

'Energy bullet'

A blue stream of energy fired out of her hand in the form of a condensed bullet-sized object. The bullet was obviously too fast for the twig to react to, and he fell to the ground dead with a circle in the center of his forehead.

Acrona could feel the energy absorption rate increasing ever so slightly, and the ability felt more like it belonged to her. She couldn't help but smile, which caused the group to freeze up. Apparently, the twig's word carried some weight, making them regretful. Acrona only stood there smiling at them as she didn't feel any rush. Acrona assumed she would get teleported out the second there were only fifty people out anyways.

She could start to fire energy bullets at them and quickly get rid of them, but she wanted to try out the rest of the abilities she had gained. The silence and lack of action only put more fear in their hearts.

"Boss, what do we do?!"

One of the guys hissed at the leader, clearly afraid. They had only known of a few ability users in their lifetimes, but none of them had such a frightening ability as the little girl in front of them. They knew such people existed, but the fact a girl at that age could use her power to that extent was frightening, to say the least.

"You fucking idiot. What happens to us if we run into her in the next stage? We're fucked either way, so let's get this over with right now. At least with the five of us, we stand a chan-."

"Are you done?"

Acrona interrupted them because she was starting to get bored. The situation was in her favor because the longer someone hesitated from being afraid, the more frightened they would get. She didn't really care, though, as it would be easy for her either way.
