Luna

James smirked, "You will! Of course, you won't have the same amount of heat and desire as a werewolf, but you will crave for it."

Nina unknowingly and surprisingly felt warm out of nowhere, maybe because she didn't talk that openly about such romantic topics. Groaning and struggling, she questioned James, glaring through her narrowing eyes, "Fine!! Aren't there any other men in the whole world?" She didn't want to compromise her life by bonding to a forest.

James grinned, "I am not surprised. You can disagree to marry and leave, but that would end the whole village on fire. The Alpha will gain all the powers only if mated with the destined Luna, who can activate those abilities. Considering you won't mate, the Alpha is considered weak and incapable of ruling the pack. Since a new Alpha won't rise in the existence of an Alpha, the pack will kill the incompetent one."

Ace was shocked, and his mouth dropped to the ground on hearing that. He didn't even imagine that such kind of atrocity could take place if Nina disagreed. Nina was also dumbstruck, as she never expected that she might be a reason for someone else death. Both her hands started sweating profusely. She didn't understand, why in such a vast world, she got involved with those beasts.

"What is Alpha doing? On the full moon day, when we were all in the woods, a human entered the village and was around our house, but his scent suddenly disappeared. I am sure that it was because of Alpha." Ace claimed, which made James agitated. His eyes widened, nostrils flared with anger, "That bastard, Andrew thinks that marrying Nina to her son would make him Alpha."

"How could an Alpha not know about those things?" Nina asked, which was the same question Ace wanted to ask too.

"Andrew wasn't that bad and selfish when he was young; he was quite a sweet guy, who helped everyone in the village and supported them in every situation. However, power overtook the sweetness and positivity in him. He might be thinking that the reverse is possible, obviously because his luna loved him for his kindness and beautiful heart, so there wasn't any issue in making her agree to the marriage. But the ability will only be enlightened if the luna gives herself on her wish and heart, which means she should love the Alpha."

Nina clapped, hearing that and sat back bossly, crossing her legs. "Do you think I am a toy? Can't I love the person I want? Can't I marry the one I wish? Can't I make love with the person I love? You say I am the luna and I have power, but I feel helpless. It's literally like blackmailing me that I must love a person because there would be chaos in the village. Hahaha!!! Continue!! Is there anything else the luna, the future Alpha's wife, should listen to?"

James was moving his fingers on his forehead as he was hearing Nina's satirical comments. He wanted to tell her something, but the words got stuck in his throat with the fear of how she would react on listening to it. Noticing his expression, a small smile appeared on Ace's face. Covering and holding back the smile, "Tell us about everything, James." he remarked, gazing at him with assurance.

"As you can smell, her scent is strengthening, signifying that the next Alpha will arise soon, probably in the coming full moon or at most the next one. Nina too will awake....I...I...mean....realize that she is fated to the Alpha." he struggled, glancing at enraged Nina but somehow completed telling everything.

"I smell too! Is it pleasant or bad?" she abruptly asked, looking at Ace.

"Respectful!" he answered without any delay.

"Oh!! What a great day! I became a luna, the Alpha's bride. I smell too, probably something only werewolves can sense. The most embarrassing thing is that I don't even know who would be the person I should love and marry. Wait....Do I have to become a werewolf?" Nina inquired with a throbbing heart.

Ace keenly stared at James as he also wanted to know.

"Yes, but you would only on the next full moon after the mating ceremony. "

Clenching her fist, "God! This man is saying ceremony. It isn't a ceremony, it is an idiotic and stupid tradition to tie me down to that village." she thought and sighed, making a blow-fish face.

"If there isn't anything else, drop me home. I can't digest any more of this stuff." Nina requested, gazing at Ace with a sad and tired look.

"Just a minute!" he replied to her. "Uncle, how will she become a werewolf?"

"Hmmm....mmmm.....Nina, remember that I am only telling because he asked." Nina's ears grew larger as she became curious after James's warning. "Just as a werewolf's bite will convert, werewolf's sperm will too."

Nina immediately choked on her own saliva. God!! Just kill me! Instead of making me go through all this odd stuff. "James, how could you collapse my whole world. I never had thought about marriage or erotic things, but I just wanted to love and explore the world. What are you doing now? You are making me marry some unknown person.....not a person...werewolf, and in spite of that, I would be becoming a werewolf. Can I ask you a question?"

James too felt sad for her and seemed guilty for destroying the life of a simple and sweet girl's life. He was left in a helpless situation as it was necessary for the Luna and the Alpha to marry and mate in order to maintain peace in the pack. "Yes!" he replied with a heavy heart.

"Will I be able to at least live like a normal person except on the full moon day?" She asked, and her question was valid and reasonable as she would be sacrificing many elements in her life if she agreed to the marriage.

"Of course you can. My father and I are doing the same, right James?" Ace smiled with confidence and assurance.

Both looked at James, who nodded, making their faces frown and shrink with sadness and disbelief.

"Why?" Ace demanded.

"She is the future leader. She will be the one dealing with the female pack and assisting the Alpha."

"Helpless leader!" Nina cursed, grinning her teeth.

"The present Luna died, but the pack is doing fine, right?" Ace questioned.

"Yes, the pack is fine presently, but it might not be the same every time. Moreover, Andrew is the one who will be suffering. As werewolves, we have our heat cycles.....mmm....better to leave it, if I continue it would become a sex talk."

Joining her palms, "I don't want to listen. Ace, you ask him personally if you want to know. Now, let's leave!"

James looked at him and signalled him to take her.
