Stay at my home!

Nina walked silently out of the office. She stood near the car, waiting for Ace, who was walking behind her to unlock.

As soon as he unlocked, they got inside the car. "Are you fine?" he asked, gazing at her worried look and pouting lips.

She shook her head, indicating that she wasn't ok.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

She again shook.

"Do you want me to take you somewhere?"

Gulping down her throat, she shook her head.

"Shall...I...hug you."

Nina nodded, and tears started rolling down profusely. "Come here!" Ace said, wrapping his arms around her. "Everything will be fine! Don't let your future affect your present. I will be there by your side in every huddle you face," he assured and comforted her, patting her back.

Nina was crying and choking heavily. Every sound from her was throbbing Ace's heart, and he felt sad that he wouldn't be of any help. Removing his hands slowly, he fetched the bottle and gave it to Nina.

She drank sip by sip and gradually stopped crying, but her eyes appeared swollen, and the whole face turned reddish. "I think you should wash your face before going home." Ace suggested, glancing at her face.

"Ahhh!!!....Home!! Lend me your phone," Nina asked, remembering that her phone was switched off for a long time.

As she pressed each number, the keypad sound echoed the silent car.

"Hello!" Nina uttered as calm as possible.

"Nina! Did you sign a contract to irritate and offend your mom too?" Anna shouted over the phone, because of which Nina shrugged, putting her phone a little away from the ear.

"Maaaaa! I am at the office, and I will be home in a few minutes."

"Is it? Good! Good!! But...Why is your phone switched off?" her mom inquired.

Sniffing loudly, narrowing her eyes and pouting, Nina spoke in a childish and weeping voice suddenly, "Maa, my mobile fell in the water. What should I do?"

Ace widened his eyes, and he pressed his lips to control his laugh. He didn't expect her to turn adorable after the long and tiring day. He also felt sad and guilty that she would have to leave such a warm family if she married the Alpha. Can't she continue living here? What was James about to say, heat cycle? What is it?

"Not a problem! I will ask Steven to buy you a new one." her mom assured, falling for the cute trap Nina had set.

"Really, Mom. Thank You," she replied with a weak and feeble voice but with a wicked smile on her face.

Cutting the call, he exclaimed, "Now I don't have to. I will tell my father that I cried for my phone and that I liked it very much as it had many good features on it." Suddenly her smile disappeared, "I wish the photos we took, can be retrieved. I will try looking for a mobile repair shop as you drive." she suggested and turned on the google navigation to her home.

The engine roared as Ace examined the route. "You turn into a completely different person when you speak to your mom," he remarked, driving along with the route map.

"Yes!" Her lips pulled a little up, uttering that. "I tend to forget all my worries and fear when I hear my mother's voice. She is my lucky charm and guiding angel."

Ace glimpsed at her and noticed that it was the same kind of glow and smile, he had seen when Nina was in the water world. Watching her happy, made his heart fill with satisfaction and relief. "Then why did you choose travelling if you are so much attached to your mother?"

"I love my mom that doesn't mean I have to keep my dreams and individuality aside. My love for her won't change, and just a word from her in a phone call can subsidize me." Nina replied, smiling and glancing at Ace.

Though he was busy checking over the phone and the city traffic, a constant gaze from his girl was distracting her. "I am unable to concentrate. Please don't stare at me!" he cried, watching the crowd. Though he had been in a city, he hadn't preferred such a populated place.

"You have many variations in you. With family and villagers, you behave very maturely; with me, your childish and with others fiercely," she replied, grinning and swaying, putting her palm under the chin, still observing him.

"Fierce? When?....Ah!! That bastard! If anyone behaves in an idiotic way, I will react in the same way...Mmmhh!!...Don't spoil my mood reminding of him." Ace responded, shrugging with uneasiness.

"Ok! As you wish! Where are you planning to stay tonight?"

"Of course, in James' house."

"Mmmm," she nodded and suddenly shouted, "Mobile shop", pointing to a shop on the other side.

"Shhhhh!! Should I take a U-turn in this traffic?" Ace complained.

"You have to. I need to check if our photos can be recovered."

Ace had nothing else to grumble back as even he didn't want those pictures to be disappeared. They might be the last photos of them, spending time happily with each other.

Carefully, he made a U-turn after driving as slow as an ox. He cursed everyone around, 'Don't these people have homes, offices or some internal work? Why are these restaurants lightly packed, Can't they cook at home? Lazy citizens!'

Finding the repair shop, he stopped his car to the left. Getting down from the car, he stretched his arms, closed his eyes tight and rotated his neck. All the muscles in his body turned to soar because of the long-distance driving. The constant staring on the city roads and calculating how many inches he should move forward made him crazy and more tired.

Nina too stepped out and walked to Ace, who was literally doing some warmup exercise. "Shall we go home by cab so that you can rest for a while? You can stay at my home tonight, and in the morning, we can fetch the car." Nina advised.

Ace shook his head, yawning widely for five seconds which made his eyes moist. Nina chuckled, looking at his state. Catching his hand, she dragged him inside the shop and gave the mobile parts to the person standing there. The guy in the shop was holding a mini-screwdriver in one hand and a small motherboard in the other hand. Explaining the situation to him, she asked if the photos in the mobile could be recovered.
