"Lab...Dab...Lab...Dab...Lab...Dab"

Nina was blushing to the full extent as it was her first kiss. She tried to calm her down and look at the surroundings to control her naughty thoughts and racing pulse.

As she took a look around, she was able to recognize that she was almost a few metres away from her home. Realizing that she couldn't meet her parents in such a state, he decided to drop down and walk from there.

"We will get down here," she remarked a little loud for the driver at the front side to hear.

"Here?" Ace asked, gazing around. He could see a few shops and a park in the surroundings, but there wasn't a trace of a house either in the left or right direction.

Ignoring his question, Nina got down without leaving Ace's hand, which made him uncomfortable getting down. However, he didn't utter a word, as he was aware of how Nina was feeling just by her tomato face.

The next instant they got down, the driver drove off, leaving them in front of a small store. Nina glanced towards the empty road on the left and the right, next she took a look at the store at the back, which had only the shopkeeper sitting at the counter. Grinning, he raced towards the park in front of them.

Reaching the swing at the park's corner, Nina sat on the swing without leaving Ace's hand. As Nina sat gasping for air, Ace asked, "What are you doing?"

"Me? Waiting to ask questions?" she replied, arching her eyebrows.

"Finally!! You want to know about us," Ace grinned and sat on the sand beside Nina's swing.

Nina satirically smirked, stretching her lips aside. "First Question, Why did you kiss me?"

Hearing the word 'kiss', Ace recalled his first kiss with Nina in the car and started blushing unknowingly. An advantage of having wolf eyes in the human form made him see her shocked expression, which appeared very cute to him.

"Sir, You can get shy later, now answer my question!" she demanded and teased him.

"To calm you down! Next question?" he answered straight-forwardly and immediately tried to divert the topic.

"Ok!!" Nina laughed but covered her mouth immediately and composed herself for the second question, "Why did you scowl at me that way?"

Gulping a lump, "Werewolves get angry quite easily, and that reflect evidently too." Ace replied truthfully, staring at the sand.

"Hmm...What else do you, werewolves have in ....human form?" Nina struggled, framing the question.

Ace smiled, noticing her effort, "I will give you a detailed answer to this. In human form, we have sharp eyesight and a sense of smell. In the Wolf form, we have incredible strength, speed and quick healing abilities, apart from the sharp eyesight and smell."

"Wow!!" Nina exclaimed and surprisingly seemed happy and excited about the traits. "Food?" she questioned, and it's a common question as Wolves and humans have different food styles. What would the combination species consume?

"In human form, human food. In wolf form, wolf food."

"Woll...ff food?.....So...So...You hunt animals?"

Ace nodded, looking into her eyes for some reaction, but Nina appeared to think without much difference in her expression. Suddenly her eyes widened, and she abruptly asked, "Humans?"

Understanding her fear and question, Ace fell into a dilemma whether to tell her the truth or not. Though he hasn't killed or hurt any human until then, he can't hide the fact that he would get tempted by human's blood. The doubt that she would be more frightened of him and the villagers, if he told the exact thing was stopping him and tieing his mouth.

While Ace was struggling whether to tell or not, Nina was staring keenly, waiting for his response. Judging from the expression, she could easily predict the answer, but she waited to listen to his explanation.

Gathering all the thoughts and forming the words in his mind, Ace replied, "We need to consume fresh blood to make us survive, whether it might be from human or animal."

Nina didn't react much as she understood it when Ace was striving to reply to the question. "Continue!"

"However, we don't drink human blood because a bit from us will convert them to a werewolf."

Hearing that, she recalled James' words, "Yeah!! James told, right? He even remarked that they were the punishment if a werewolf killed a human."

Ace nodded and felt satisfied with the answer he gave. "Any other questions?"

"Yes, An important one is felt? Why did you say that you don't want to become Alpha? The reason should be either not loving me or not liking the post. Which one is it?"

"The second one," he instantly reacted.

Nina grinned, blushing and biting her lower lip with happiness. She snapped back in a few seconds, not knowing why he didn't wish to become the most powerful member of the pack. "Why? Why don't you want to become a leader?" Nina asked in bewilderment.

"The same reason why you didn't want to be the leader's wife. I don't want to be restricted to a place. Though I studied law so that I could be of help to the villagers, I was always interested in travelling and photography. My goal is to visit as many as places possible and picture them." Ace answered.

Both felt that they were similar in many aspects, and it was those common interests that made them interested in each other. Even though they weren't aware of how many days they would be together, they wished to enjoy every second left.

Smiling to himself, Ace inquired if they were any questions left.

"Mmmmm... Right now, NO! But hope you fulfil your promise on our return journey!"

Ace, who was playing with the sand, abruptly looked at her. He was confused as to how she would be so confident about him even after knowing that he was a werewolf. "Are you not afraid of me?" he muttered faintly, afraid of hearing the word 'Yes', but instead, he heard, 'Why should I?' from Nina.

Stroking his beard, he gazed at her amused. 'Won't a human be afraid of a wild animal? Is she frightened but pretending not to be? Is she hiding all the fear, not to hurt me?'

"Please be frank with me! Are you not afraid that I might hurt you?"

"Did you ever think of harming me or any other human?" she asked without replying to Ace's question.

He shook his head and replied, "No! Never!"

"So, why should I be scared of you? Becoming a werewolf wasn't your choice...Don't divert the topic! You promised to...."

Before she could complete the sentence, Ace commented, "As you wish!!"
