"Chapter 14- Back to reality"

"Klein?" Tristan opened the car's window as he saw him again sitting alone on a bench, "aren't you going to get lunch?" he asked Klein. "well I'm not that quite hungry yet to eat lunch," his stomach grumbled as soon as he said that, "remember, I'm not a necrophile," Tristan said while opening the door, "let's have lunch,"

"So... how's the relationship between you and your aunt now?" he asked him curiosity in his eyes. "oh, well we still have the same relationship as before," Klein looked at the window resting his face on his palm. "I see," Tristan said in a short answer, "we're going to eat somewhere traditional, somewhere flavorful, wanna ask what cuisine it is?" he changed the topic to erase any heavy tensions around the air. "hm... I wanna eat Filipino food,"

"well, you're in luck, we're going to a Filipino restaurant here in the state, man you're craving like a pregnant woman," he mocked him and joked around. "not my fault, I haven't had a proper meal since morning, all kinda taste bland," he turned around at him while talking.

Tristan sighed when he experienced the same thing as him, "I had a proper but bland breakfast, the only thing tasty is the flavored water," he chuckled as he tries to stop craving flavorful cuisine.

"let's try the sisig there, I heard it's so good, same with their national dish, adobo!" Klein requested Tristan, "wow, you're really hungry," he raised a brow looking sassy. "well, I like seasoned-well foods,", "yeah we're the same, our tastebuds must be fated with each other," Tristan joked, "what?"

"GAHHHHH- Halo-halo... adobo! sisig! kaldereta! the smell! am I in heaven?" Klein sobbed while chomping his meal, 'wow- he's really hungry,'

Tristan looked at Klein while pondering, Klein looked at him in the eye after puffing his face with sinangag, "what?" he swallowed the food in his mouth. "how are you still skinny when you're eating this much?" he asked frustrated trying to eat his meal, "well- it's been an issue when I was a child, I've never gained weight, I'm kinda concerned about that you know," he began stuffing his mouth with rice.

'how is that an issue- it's a blessing from the gods- be grateful!' he sadly tossed and turned his food trying to resist the fragrant smell of the food, Klein noticed he's been off recently,

"hey, you know it doesn't matter if you eat this much, what matters is you're enjoying your life with delicious food before you die and regret not having to eat what you wanted," he said while scooping more kaldereta on his plate. "I don't know what it feels to be insecure, so I'm not gonna advise more, but you can just get back on track after eating plenty of meals," he advised before stuffing his mouth.

"you know, you're great at advising but, you keep stuffing your mouth with food, what are you a stuffed turkey that is about to cook?" he began eating his meal without any hesitation, Klein's advice suddenly worked on Tristan.

"Why did you butted turkey in our conversation?"

"because turkey is getting stuffed with goods before cooking and eating,"

"Yeah, what about it?..."

sinangag is a garlic fried rice of the Philippines*

Philippine adobo is a popular Filipino dish and cooking process in Philippine cuisine that involves meat, seafood, or vegetables marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, bay leaves, and black peppercorns, which is browned in oil, and simmered in the marinade.*

Kaldereta or caldereta is a goat meat stew from the Philippines. Variations of the dish use beef, chicken, or pork. Commonly, the goat meat is stewed with vegetables and liver paste. Vegetables may include tomatoes, potatoes, olives, bell peppers, and hot peppers. Kaldereta sometimes includes tomato sauce.*

note: I'm a Filipino but I don't memorize the ingredients of my Country's dishes, I just searched this information on google. :P))
