Alya tore open a bag of Epsom salt and emptied it in the tub. The terms of use said 2 spoons will help her release her stress, but she was sure with the madness raging in her head, she'll need the whole bag. She had two slices of cucumber in the living room, those will go over her eyes while she took her relaxing bath. Jizelle was not back home yet, Alya wondered what was taking her so long. She had ordered pizza, but it had not arrived yet. What happened to the world today? Everyone's acting strange. She went for the cucumbers and ended up eating it before reaching the bathroom. She undressed and in the tub. She closed her eyes and opened them, it was not working. She seemed to remember all her troubles and realities seemed to clear up. She was attending a school full of murderers and ghosts and nobody will believe anything. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply, if she was going to get crazy now who was going to use the tub filled with Epsom salt? She closed her eyes again. The doorbell rang, the annoying sound made her frown. Jizelle will open the door for herself. She got her own keys right? The doorbell came again and louder this time, she groaned. Oh the pizza guy. She wiped the water off her skin, wore a bathrobe and went to open the door.
"Finally," she said giving the delivery guy his tip. "Why are you staring at me like that?" Alya asked the delivery boy. Her hair was plastered to her face and she was wearing a bathrobe that has sticking to her skin, that's enough reason to make a boy stare.
Aria might claim to be antisocial but she once enjoyed a glorious life of being the most gorgeous gymnast a school could have. Back then she payed attention to herself but that didn't mean she wasn't as sexy as she was three years back, in fact she looks better.
The delivery guy was probably a mute, he didn't say anything, he was about her age and shy looking. Alya wasn't expecting an answer anyway, she slammed the door.
She went back to her room and collapsed on her bed. She looked around the room, nothing was in order, she sighed. Her mom would have yelled at her for that, she felt a sudden sadness come over her as she remembered her parents. Moments later she went to the living to clear her mind and there she fell asleep.
Aria eyes switched open, she looked around the living room wondering why the place was so dark. She didn't remember turning the lights off, so who did? "Jizelle," Alya called, her attention went to the TV and it was also off. "Jizelle," Alya called again.
She went to her bedroom and closed the door, she laid down on the bed again. Jizelle wasn't home yet, she checked the time but in the dim moonlight that shone in her room she could barely see the clock hanging over the door. She pulled the covers over herself and tried to sleep. She opened her eyes again and eyed the table she placed the seal on earlier, it was still there. She smiled and finally closed her eyes.
....
"So what are you looking for exactly," Iris asked Radica. Radica jingled the keys in her hand, rolled her eyes and sighed. Iris frowned, "Radica."
"What?"
"I was asking something—"
"Senseless," Radica cut Iris off. Iris took a step closer to Radica," You do know I can ditch you right now and tell Xavier what you're up to right?"
"You call that a threat, you can do better than that."
"You're very skilled in the art of testing people's patience."
Radica inserted the key and the door unlocked. "Where did you get that from," Iris asked. Alya left her window open earlier.
"You were following her," Iris said instead of ask.
"Something close to that," Radica slowly opened the door and poked her head in the house.
"What are you really looking for here Radica?"
"Don't tell me you don't see the resemblance to Allison."
"Who cares?"
"Xavier does, he wants to know about her."
"So?"
"Just be my backup, I gotta fill my thirst for knowledge. Michael isn't telling me anything." Radica opened the door wider and entered, "Stay outside and keep a lookout. I'll open her window and let you come inside later."
"No, enjoy your exploration."
Radica closed the door behind her and walked around living room and closed the curtains. Just in case the neighbors peek through and she loved the dark atmosphere. She walked up the stairs looking on the wall, there were no family pictures whatsoever. The house was very dark but Radica could see clearly. She opened a bedroom door and peeked in, it was empty so she entered. She looked around the room, checked in the drawers and all the places she thought important information can be kept but the only thing she found out was that Alya lived with another woman. She thought Alya lived alone like many other senior students. She stepped out and gently closed the door behind her again, the next door she opened was a bathroom. She frowned, she wasn't coming out of the house until she found something tangible and that was it. She entered Alya's bedroom after opening three other rooms, she watched Alya sleep, she looked so like Allison. What if Allison wasn't dead, what if Xavier had bitten her? No if Xavier had bitten her then she would have died because he's a very strong vampire and she would probably die from his poison rather than turn into a neotide. But what if? Alya turned over but didn't realize the shadow over her. Radica sighed, humans. She opened two drawers at the same time. Nothing, it was totally empty and the room was messed up. Radica looked on the table, she wished Alya had a diary, things would be a lot easier if one just popped out. She looked at Alya's face, she didn't look like one who would write one.
Out of all the faces she could get she took one of Allison, the human girlfriend of a vampire prince Xavier Mackay. She didn't like Allison but she didn't like the way she died, she at least wished she was the one to put an end to Allison. Radica heard a light knock on the window. she flinched and hoped Alya won't wake up. She opened the window,
"What," Radica asked.
"Someone's coming, we gotta bounce."
"I coming, just give me a second."
She turned around and spotted a silver item on the study desk. She picked it up and scanned it, what is the Mackay Crescent doing on the table of a common, no crazy highschool senior. Radica heard the front door open, obviously someone else had had entered. Iris whispered, "She's here."
Alya got up and stared straight at Radica, she tilted her head around the room. Radica was puzzled then she remembered Alya was a mere human and couldn't see well in the dark.
"Jizelle," Alya called and got off the bed, she closed the window and went back to sleep. Radica knew she had to leave, at least she would leave with the Mackay Crescent. She was about to leave when she stopped again, she slowly pulled the covers from Alya's body and threw it out the window. Iris mouth dropped open, "what the hell?"
"Just keep it quiet, I just wanna make her freak out tomorrow." She turned to Alya who was still sound asleep. Radica jumped into the tree near Alya's window where Iris was sitting.
"Hurry," Iris said stretching her hand to help Radica down. Radica shoved off Iris hand and jumped down on her own.
Alya frowned before opening her eyes, this time if she wasn't hallucinating or dreaming she could swear she was being robbed. She was hearing crazy things tonight. "I knew everything about this place was demonic." She searched her body for the covers, she was cold, the window was opened again. She dragged herself up from the bed and scanned the floor for her covers. More tree noises made her turn her head to the window. The place was dark, she strained her eyes, nothing. As soon as she turned her head, she felt the hair on the back of her neck stand, something was wrong. She searched on the table, the seal was gone. She searched her drawers for any weapon she could find, she couldn't find anything. Did Jizelle clean her room? She frowned, she found only scissors. Scissors for Christ sake, she was getting robbed and all she could find is a pink pair of damned scissors. She could see the lights were turned on by someone in the living room. He was still in the house, she thought grabbing the scissors and walked to her door. Her door knob started to slowly turn, she stood behind the door. Do you still remember karate? She asked herself, maybe. Time to tell herself the money her parents spent on training didn't go to waste. The door opened and Alya threw her hand up aiming at the person's face but her opponent blocked hand, hitting it hard. The scissors flew from her hand.
"What the heck," Jizelle voice yelled. Alya stopped her clenched her fist halfway in the air, and slowly lowered it.
"Why," she whispered, her face slowly clearing up again.
"You almost stabbed my face" Jizelle said, her voice rising with each word.
"I thought you were someone else," Alya said, flicking the lights on just to make sure.
"Were you expecting someone," Jizelle asked calm again.
Alya walked over to the couch the scissors got stuck in. "Thank God Jizelle took combat training too or else." She pulled the scissors out of the couch knowing it wouldn't have had a happy ending.
"Do you think I would try to stab someone I was expecting in the face," Alya asked. "What are you doing in my room," Alya inquired. Jizelle shook her head absentmindedly, "I just wanted to check on you, but seriously are you okay?"
"I gotta go to bed," Alya snapped. Jizelle stared at her sister with a worrying look, she looked tired and stressed, Jizelle knew she would have denied that. She reluctantly walked outside as Alya was holding the door. She stopped to say goodnight and Alya nodded in response. Alya turned the lights back off, she wandered in the dark checking for her bed. She fell on it and checked for her covers, she took out her flashlight and checked for her covers around the room. She flashed the light towards the window, it was opened again. She got out of bed to close it, yet again. She heard leaves rustling from the tree, she flashed the lights towards it, nothing. It was just the breeze, "Maybe I'm just being paranoid," she told herself. She lastly directed the light to the ground, there she saw her flowery-white covers lying on the ground. "Or not," she added.
