Xavier called Iris back, she closed her eyes and sighed. Xavier frowned, what was she hiding, she walked backwards and stopped before him.
"Where were you last night," he asked.
Iris smiled,"I went to my aunt's."
Xavier bent his head down and lifted it back up, "Why do you lie?"
Iris laughed but stopped when she saw Xavier face smiling. Radica popped out from behind him.
"Guess what I found last night," Radica said to Xavier.
"I went shopping," Iris said, this time Xavier kept his face firm.
"You wouldn't want me squeezing the truth out of you, Iris" Xavier said as calmly as he could.
"I was with Radica, we went to Alya's house, she was searching for something." Radica randomly yelled, " "Guess what I found." Xavier finally turned to her, "The Mackay Crescent?" Radica looked at the seal in her hand and back at him.
"You've been holding it behind me for full two minutes, "Xavier said taking the seal from her hand. "Now why was this in her house," Xavier asked.
"How would I know?"
"You went there last night?"
"I'll say I was exploring," Radica answered.
"She might be human but she's a real fighter," Iris said and Radica glared at her.
"She's not that good," Radica commented.
"What did I say about doing things without my permission?" Iris started to whistle and slowly walk away. Xavier let her go for now.
"Tell you partner in crime, you're both suspended for tonight's mission."
"I retrieved your family seal."
Xavier examined the tiny piece of silver.
"It's a duplicate," he said.
"How do you know it's a duplicate?"
"The real Mackay Crescent is always gold, you should've known."
....
"Guess what the gardener found," Jizelle said walking in the kitchen. Alya opened the fridge and poked her head and took out a jar of orange juice. "What," she asked making sure her voice sounded uninterested.
"Your covers," Jizelle replied and waited to see Alya's reaction. Alya poured herself a glass of juice and gulped it down and proceeded for a refill.
"Don't tell me you threw it out your window intentionally."
"Okay," Alya said and gulped down the juice," I won't then."
"I uhm..." Jizelle took a deep breath and tried to put the words together," I've already put in therapy after school from three to six, trust me it would—" Jizelle was interrupted by Alya's burst of laughter.
"You're kidding right," Alya asked.
"No," Jizelle said," you need therapy, it's long overdue. It would help you a whole lot and save me from turning completely insane."
Alya looked like she was seriously pondering on something but she didn't say anything, she just dragged her backpack to the car without a word.
"So you're going right," Jizelle asked as her sister walked past her. Alya smirked and yanked the car door open.
Alya was glad she sat on the lunch table that wasn't swarmed with students, she happily sat alone and she couldn't ask for more. An unfamiliar yet familiar face walked to the table and sat down.
"Lord of heavens," Alya said.
"Girl believe me, I don't want to sit here either." Jennette said and sat down.
"Yet she still sits," Alya commented.
"You don't own this table Alya, and you can't make me leave. Also don't flatter yourself, I'm only here because my friends are busy with a pack of dogs"
Alya raised her eyebrows and shook her head," Suit yourself."
After thirty minutes of silence between the two girls, the bell rang, signaling the students to go back to class. They both got up at the same time, Alya thought Jennette was copying her moves. As Jennette was walking from the table with her head buried in a cup of ice cream, she hit the creepy white face boy and the lovely dessert spilled on his shoes. Alya started to walk away, that was none of her business.
Xavier frowned seeing the scene on his brand new shoes.
"Damn, I'm so sorry," she said. It was Jennette, the head of the school press team. Talk about people who thought they had money, she has a lot of ego. A lot of it, but she said sorry right? He should be nice for once.
"I'll buy it back," she said. She couldn't buy it back that was a fact.
"You can't buy it back," Xavier told her.
"So what do you want then, big shot?"
"Lick it off," Xavier said and Michael and Connor flash smiled.
"Are you crazy," Jennette yelled at him. Xavier nodded. His eyes gradually turned red and he repeated as he fully had her under his spell, "I said lick it off."
Without any comments or hesitation she slowly bent down to lick it. And a godforsaken familiar face pushed Jennette from his eyelock.
"What the hell are you doing," the slim and fairly tall figure asked Jennette who was slowly gaining her senses again.
"What," she asked weakly.
"She was about to lick the ice cream off my shoes, got a problem with that?"
Alya looked at him from head to toe. He was about to make her complete the task but she kept moving her eyes, he needed them in one place. Jennette looked puzzled.
"Who the heck do you think you are," Alya asked so defiantly.
"You'll get to know soon," Xavier answered and signaled the guys behind him to follow him as they had all stood and watched her.
"He's the leader of the Den, and the WYB for this year's youth."
"I didn't ask you who he was"
"Yup, but you were staring at him so hard, I thought you were drooling."
"Eww I've seen better looks"
Lies, she had not seen better looks, like damn how many times did he do plastic surgery and what the hell was WYB? She wasn't gonna ask Jennette because if she did she would seem interested in the creepy guy, so she googled it. WYB (as google said ) meant World's Youngest Billionaire.
"Impressive," Alya heard her lips said.
"You're definitely drooling," Jennette said over her shoulders.
"Hasn't anyone ever told you to not stick your nose in other people's business," Alya asked switching her phone off.
Jennette giggled and rushed up the stairs as Alya followed.
