Ichorhold Town had formed a contract with the demons which the townspeople agreed to provide a young woman on every blood moon in exchange for the town's safety and prosperity. On this particular blood moon, the young woman was Melva Winchell.

Duke Vance of Nightwind was a werewolf living in the demon kingdom, cursed to always feel cold and ultimately freeze himself to death. Only a special human could bring him warmth with their physical touch and save his life. The human was, once again, Melva Winchell.

Blood Moon's Contract

"Get behind me!" yelled Rosetta urgently, standing in front of the barrier, blocking Mervin's sight so that he would not be able to see Melva and Davis.


Melva and Davis were quick to react as they rushed to stand behind Rosetta, warily keeping their guards up, eyes not leaving Mervin who was inside the barrier. Why was he not tied up? None of them had been paying attention to what Mervin was doing inside the barrier because they had thought he would not be able to free himself.


They now only had Rosetta's barrier to separate them from Mervin. It was like walking on thin ice. If Mervin pressed a little bit harder, it would break. And if it happened, then Mervin would be free to charm them with his voice, putting them under his spell.
