[Chapter 50] god with a capital g

Alex's eyes sparkled as he eyed the two blondes in front of him. "Amazing."

"You thought this emperor would look bad?" Nero spoke while placing her hands on her hips. Her red dress with a white bodice and peplum fluttered from her movement.

"As long as you're happy..." Artoria answered.

'Okay, maybe it wasn't a great idea to agree to Nero's proposal.' Artoria shook her head before looking towards the blue-eyed boy.

"No, no, no." Nero magically arrived before her, causing her eyes to wander off from Alex's figure and land onto her's. "You're supposed to be ashamed, embarrassed, angry, pouting..." As the blonde emperor listed the emotions she should be feeling and the reactions she should be making, Artoria tilted her head.

"Why?" The blonde king simply couldn't understand why she should be pouting or angry.

"You know what? Fine." Nero sighed. Why did Artoria have to be like her lover? Both were so hard to tease...

Screw that. The duo was outright impossible to tease. Not by her, anyway. Alex could somehow do it.

He was probably using his overpowered soul magic. The blonde emperor knew.

Huffing, Nero turned back to her lover. "Are you satisfied, Master~?"

It was one of the few times that she called him that. Alex moved the memory to the "Important Stuff" part of his "mind." He was made out of the ether; he didn't have a brain.

"It didn't work. Again." Nero sighed before walking in front of him. "Why can't you feel embarrassed and act all cute?"

"I can act cute if you want."

"No. You don't need to act cute because you are like that all the time." Nero nodded her head as if agreeing with her words. "I just want to see you blushing..."

"Hai hai, Ma'am." He nodded. "That's kinda impossible, sadly."

"I know, idio–" Nero suddenly felt her instincts flaring up. The next moment, a bald woman in yellow robes appeared from within a portal.

The bald woman's eyes widened as she examined the room and the people in it. "Hello." She eventually called out. It was an odd sight inside.

"Aren't you that Ancient something woman?" Alex nodded his head. "Man, that is one weird name."

At his point, Artoria had moved next to him. She hadn't changed to her battle attire or even unsheathed Excalibur. "That is the time stone, no?" Her eyes zeroed at the necklace the AO (Ancient One) was wearing.

"Shiny." Nero voiced out without worry. Both of the blondes had absolute trust in the boy that stood in between them.

Maybe it was arrogance; who knew? It was hard to not feel arrogant when you had a God that stood behind you at all times.

The capital "G" is relevant.

"I would like to ask if you have time to discuss something with me, Cosmic Being of Creation."

"At 17.00," the boy answered. "I need to do some things now." He picked up the blondes swiftly. "Bye-bye!" He disappeared with the surprised king-emperor duo.

"Cosmic Beings are truly unpredictable," the AO muttered. She had visited the boy before, but only in private.

...

[Later, at 17.00]

Baldy looked at the boy in front of her. He was levitating in the air, and his legs in the lotus position were turned towards the ceiling. His head was resting on his right hand, supported by his left.

His body was enveloped in a long-sleeved white turtleneck shirt, and his legs were wrapped in black sports pants.

"I have something to ask," Baldy spoke. "Are you really going to save the world from its destruction?" She didn't understand why a Cosmic Being would care about a world as weak as this one.

"Nero really likes those shiny stones," the boy answered. "I'm going to wait for the purple guy to collect them all and 'borrow' them from him."

"No matter how many times I hear you say this," she took a breath. "I still can't understand it."

"I hear that a lot, don't worry." Even from people close to him, like Nero. She and Eresh had an incident where they tried to find and beat the ass of Jormun for taking his emotions.

It was unsuccessful, but Alex had enjoyed the care of them for a long time afterward.

"Well." She looked at the stone inside her necklace. "Why didn't you take the Eye of Agamotto?"

"What do you mean?" A smooth green stone appeared on his palm. "I already have it."

"Eh?"

"Right. I forgot to tell you." He facepalmed. "Well, I switched the Time Stone inside your necklace with the one I made."

It was the same situation as Avalon.

"Oh." Baldy looked a bit disturbed that her most precious possession was switched without her knowledge. "I should've expected that."

"Do you need anything else?"

"No."

"Great. I'll go now." He disappeared to thin air, leaving a very weirded-out Baldy inside.

...

Appearing in his house, the boy felt an odd feeling. It wasn't his first time feeling it, but this time it was much stronger.

He activated his Divinity and found a trail of strong unknown energy coming to him, forming a connection with a part of his soul.

He then started to follow it, eventually finding himself in front of Jeanne, praying as usual. 'What,' he thought with surprise.

Why were her prayers giving him energy? The boy couldn't wrap his mind around it.

Then, suddenly, the area around him crumbled as if it was an illusion, an old man appearing in front of him. He was wrapped in white robes, and his well-trimmed beard was white, just like his hair in a ponytail behind his head and eyebrows.

"Hello, successor." The white-haired man spoke, his voice somehow making him feel at peace.

"You're?" Alex asked while looking around himself. He wasn't panicking as he knew that his group wasn't in danger.

"Yahweh."

"Let me guess. You somehow stayed in my soul after I absorbed your Divinity, and now you appear in front of me because I have, like, billions of followers?"

"About 10 billion people."

"Uh-huh." Alex nodded his head. "So, what do you want?"

"I'm going to make you my successor."

"I'm already much stronger than you." Alex sighed. "I don't need your position."

"I also thought that, but your Father thinks otherwise." Yahweh also seemed to agree with our protagonist.

"Well, whatever." Alex looked up at the tall old man. He felt as if everyone was taller than him nowadays. "What do I need to do with this new... Title?"

"Nothing. You'll have to take care of prayers, but you can just create Angels to take care of them."

"That's good. Oh, and also, what was that weird energy?"

"It is called Faith." Yahweh looked at him with disappointment. "How can you be a god yet not know about it?"

"I dunno." Alex definitely knew why, but he didn't comment on it. "So, what does it do?"

"It is a form of Mana exclusive to only gods." Yahweh started explaining. "Because of my, and now your, unique aspect, it allows you to answer prayers." The old man took a deep breath. "That's why Jeanne's prayers were always answered. Unknowingly, you approved of them all."

"That's good, I guess." Alex smiled. "It's good that my subconscious knows its priorities."

Yep. To this bastard, the prayers of billions of people didn't matter compared to one blonde chick.

"Do you have any more questions?"

"Nah. Send me back already." He suddenly spoke again. "And make sure you disappear from my soul."

"I was planning on doing exactly that." Yahweh waved his hand, his body transforming into light particles. "Go and catch 'em all, son!" His voice resounded within Alex's mind before disappearing completely.

"Fuck off."

...

After appearing in reality again, Alex heard the voice of Ganesha.

[Ability "Elzariel" has fused with ability "Psyche" because of subject "Yahweh"s interference. Newly formed ability "Yahweh" is now added to the list "Powers & Abilities."]

He then looked down at the kneeling saint with closed eyes, only now noticing the sheer amount of white threads of energy giving him power.

He then promptly leaned on a wall, his eyes watching the focused Jeanne.

Finally, after a few minutes, the blonde saint got up, her eyes directly landing on him. "Master?" She was surprised to see him watching her, but not only that, he seemed even more glorious than usual.

But that was odd, as he wasn't glorious before. Not to her, at least.

The blonde saint felt her strength rising, and not slightly at that.

[Ability "Yahweh" is now fully synced with the User's body. Does the User require any more assistance?]

Dismissing the notification from Ganesha, Alex focused on the saint before him. She seemed unaware of the fiery orange wings that had sprouted from her back.

The Biblical God had Angels, so why shouldn't he? Everyone in his team had become an Angel, and their strength had at least multiplied.

The boy slightly smiled before the saint arrived before him. "Let's go; I have to explain some things to you."

...

After explaining to the saint that he was kind of the new Yahweh, Alex watched her expression with a smile.

"Wot," Jeanne spoke with confusion. It was hard to wrap her mind around it.

"Wot, indeed." The boy replied while playing with her hair. "Oh, you're also an Angel now."

"So you're my Go– I'M A WHAT?!"

"Angel. " Alex answered once again while enjoying the even more confused expression on her face. "It's not that hard to understand, no?"

"Ugh." She whined, knowing that it was impossible to win against her Master. "Well, thank you, I guess..."

"I'm also gonna make you my apostle."

"For God's sake..."

"My sake?"

"Argh!" She looked up at him. "Stop messing with my head!"

...

[Later]

The blue-eyed boy looked towards the bald man with an eyepatch in front of him. "Nick... Fury, right?" He asked

"You don't know my name?"

"I don't bother with humans much, even if they're trained superbly." Alex looked at the agents around Nick. "I mean, I can just destroy the world if I want. Why should I care about some insects?"

Fury looked at the boy furiously. "Are you underestimating SHIELD?"

"If you want to think like that, then yes, I am indeed underestimating SHIELD." He grinned. "Show me your best, Fury."

Looking at the empty area where Alex had once sat, Fury growled furiously. "Is the Tessaract ready?"

I need an idea for the next world as this fic will be ending in about 15 chapters, I think. A short one is necessary as I'm slowly running out of stuff to write and can't spare time to binge 800 episodes.

I have the idea for my next fic and am currently writing it. I'll start posting it when I'm running out of ideas for this one.

Good night... Or day, I dunno.
