Chapter 3

Faline

"Stand down," Faline said to his gang, to which they looked at him hesitantly. Faline wasn't known to like the police, nor was he known to talk to them often, so it made sense as to why they looked at him like that. They slowly lowered their guns, as Faline turned back to the officer.

"Your turn." He said with a small smirk. His smile was dark and venomous. Faline wondered if the officer was scared of him, probably not. He nodded, turning back to the police squad. "Stand down everyone, things will be handled shortly." They all nodded, lowering his gun. However, one, a girl what a shocker, kept her gun up, looking at him hesitantly.

"Apollo, what are you doing?" She softly whispered. Apollo, hm that's his name. Faline liked it, reminded him of the space missions. He looked to the girl, and she glared back at him. Faline only crossed his arms. It was late, at least three a.m, and it was dark. The only thing shining a light on this interaction was the broken-in corner store, brightening up the police's faces.

The police officer with brown hair, Apollo he now knew, looked over at her with a challenging face. It was interesting that she couldn't trust him. Trust is what makes a team. "Stand. Down." He said harshly. She nodded, lowering her gun. Oh, drama.

Faline looked between the two, before turning around, walking back towards the broken store. He glanced back, making sure Apollo was following him, which he was. His father would probably smack him on the head for letting the enemy be behind him, but he trusted the guy.

He stepped over the broken glass. "Be careful. You don't have gloves on." He warned, gaining a scoff from Apollo. Fucking rude. He walked behind the aisle, turning around and watching as Apollo walked in front of him. He specifically chose this spot because no one would hear or see them.

Apollo

In the light, Apollo could see his face, his skin. It was so pale, only the tip of his nose was red. Why was he so pale it wasn't cold outside, was it? His pink hair was longer, the roots black. His hair looked a mess, but it was supposed to look like that. Like he straightened it and styled it to look a mess. Intriguing.

Now that he looked into the eyes of the other, he could see it. His eyes were crystal white just like his skin, but the surrounding skin around his eyes was also flushed a pink color. It almost looked styled, a lot of him probably looked styled.

Apollo watched as KG1 had his hands in his pockets, he seemed cold and sad, yet he had a smile on his face. He wondered which part was real. There was a cigarette hanging from his pink lips, the burning smell lighting up the tip.

"You know smoking is bad for you?" Apollo says, as a way to start up some sort of conversation. He laughed quietly, using his index and middle finger to slide it out of his mouth. "It is, but I'm not smoking." He smiled his pearly white grin. It didn't seem like he smoked often, seemed almost like a one-time thing. Apollo didn't have a plan.

KG1 dropped the still-burning cigarette, stepping on it with his shoes. Wow, everything about him did seem styled. He looked back up at the pale, KG1. Apollo didn't have a plan.

"You know, your wife won't like the fact that you're eyeing someone else like that, especially a guy." Instinctively, Apollo hid his hand with the wedding band on it. "I don't swing that way, sorry." He shrugged softly.

KG1 smirked, combing a hand through his hair. "That's what every guy who ended up in my bed said." He leaned on the wall, looking through a small line that showed both the officers and gang members staring each other off. "Well how about this, I'm taken though. Is that what you wanted to talk about, having sex with each other?"

KG1 shook his head. "Let them go, take me." Apollo looked at KG1, not expecting that answer. "I'm sorry, what?" He asked, tilting his head and furrowing his eyebrows. As a gang leader, your job is to not get caught.

Faline

Faline shrugged, copying him by also tilting his head. "I-I'm sorry, what?" He mocked, sitting upright and crossing his arms. He was tired and needed sleep, and it seemed Apollo just wanted to keep him up "Take me into custody, let the rest of them go. You want the gang leader, right?"

Faline finally looked up at the police officer. He seemed, to childlike. How old was he again? He couldn't be any less than twenty. His hair was over his face, barely covering his eyes. Could he see? His jawline was sharp, and everything about him seemed like an alpha male type. But his eyes, his eyes were the things throwing Faline off a cliff and into the pacific ocean. They were brown and golden. Had so much youth in them, like he grew up in a fairy tale. Everything else now seemed childlike, as long as he looked in his eyes.

He sucked in a breath. "Why?" Apollo asked, quietly. Faline rolled his eyes. He wasn't going to let his gang get into trouble with him, it was his fault that they stayed longer than necessary. His fault that he didn't go with the flow and only to some graffiti. He shrugged.

"Because." Apollo glanced out towards the two very different groups and nodded. The officer seemed hesitant as if he didn't want to. "Come on, I'm the gang leader. They're just some petty workers, it's not like you would be able to prosecute them with anything more than being associated with me." He shrugged.

Apollo nodded. "Turn around." He said hesitantly. Why was he so hesitant? Why now of all times?

Apollo

Why did he not want to do this? This was what he had been working on all year. He had long shifts at work and risked his life multiple times to catch the person standing in front of him, KG1. So, why was it so hard for him? He watched as the pink-haired boy turned around, and placed his hands behind his back.

Apollo grabbed his handcuffs, unlocking them and placing them around KG1's pale wrists. He tightened them, gaining a hiss from the other. "A little too tight don't you think?" He said sarcastically, but Apollo just reached down and grabbed his pink and black gun from his holster around one of his legs.

KG1 widened the space between his legs, giving Apollo room since the holster's buckle was between his legs. "Don't touch anywhere besides the buckle or else I will kill you, even with these handcuffs o." He said with a smirk. Apollo silently unbuckled the holster, sliding it off his leg, and holding it in his other hand.

"Let's go." He said, holding onto one of KG1's arms. He should be happier, more proud of himself, yet he was aggravated since he wasn't. He pulled the gang leader through the store, exiting it. Everyone looked towards them, with KG1's head down. Seemingly instantly everyone held up their guns. The gangs at Apollo, and the police at the gang.

"Everyone relax," KG1 said, looking up at the two groups. "Let's not have anyone dead. It's too early for that." He joked, and the gang hesitantly looked at him. Apollo just kept walking silently. "I'm fine. Jesus you guys care about me too much." He looked towards Apollo as the two made their way to the police car.

"Time to do your part of the deal." He said, nudging his head to the police squad. "Everyone, stand down and go to your cars. Let the other members go." He says, and the three officers looked at him like he was mad.

"What? Why?!" asked Monique. He opened the car door for KG1, to which he slid into the seat. The multicolored hair officer shut the door. "Because I said so. Now come on." He said harshly." He sighed, stepping into the car, to which the other three begrudgingly followed suit.
