Chapter 15

Faline

Picking food out is difficult. There were multiple stands all around them, with different scents and styles. It made his head hurt. It was all traditional Japanese cuisine, which would be fine, if they weren't so close together. It made his head hurt.

"Screw this, let's go to my place and make shrimp ramen." Faline says, ready to walk out when Apollo grabbed his arm. "No, you probably eat ramen every day. We're going to eat actual food." Faline looked up to the officer with a bored look.

"Seriously? You took me out yesterday and we ate rice shaped into cute bears." Apollo held up a finger. "No, technically you took me out. And I think I found something." He pulled on Faline arm, the boy with pink hair allowing the other to.

It was a Curry shop, with different types and styles of the south asian dish. It wasn't all Japanese food per say, but it was enough to get them interested. Faline walked up to the man running the stand, with a small smile.

"Hi, can I get…" He looked up at the menu. There were literally every type of curry. However one specifically appealed to him. "Spicy shrimp curry please." The man nodded, looking up at Apollo. "Uh, I'll just have spicy chicken curry please." He nodded, typing some things on the register. " ¥558, please." Faline got out his card, gesturing for Apollo to stop.

He raised his hands into the hair as Faline slid his card. "Fine, but only this time. I still owe you for yesterday." The man at the stand handed them a piece of paper that showed the number and time the food should be ready.

Faline stepped away from the booth and towards Apollo. The moonlight was shining perfectly on this spot. "What should we do now? There isn't anything fun." Faline thought out loud. Apollo shrugged. "Nothing bad. Remember, you're only 20." Faline groaned, flicking Apollo off.

"Don't go all police officers on me." He rolled his eyes. Faline started walking to the exit. He had an idea. "You wanna go somewhere fun?" He asked, turning to Apollo. Apollo caught up to him, keeping his speed. "Depends, what do you have in mind?"

"You wanna go to the zoo?" Apollo tilted his head in confusion. Cute. "What do you mean the zoo? It's closed, we aren't allowed to go in?" Faline clicked his tongue and snapped his fingers. He had a smirk on his face.

"Exactly."

Apollo

He was going to get fired. He full-heartedly believed that. He was going to get fired because of Faline. He had just seen the gang leader jump over the Kumamoto City Zoological and Botanical Gardens. If someone caught them, he was going to get fired.

"Come on!" Faline whisper-yelled, cupping his hands around his mouth. Apollo stepped back, before running and grabbing the six-foot ledge. He pulled himself up and over the rest of the way. Faline cheered, like it was the first time he had ever done this.

He jumps over, landing on the grass. "I can not believe you talked me into doing something that stupid. Faline shrugged. "It's going to be fine." He pulled Apollo's arm towards the walkway that led to the flowers. At least they weren't going to the animal exhibits.

There were yellow flowers, creating a small field with a hill going down. In the far distance, a Ferris wheel could be seen. It reminded him of the Ferris wheel from a song. He couldn't remember it.

Faline walked into the grass, which Apollo probably thought it wasn't allowed. Apollo followed, the other, laying down in the flowers, he believes they were Dahlias. Faline watched him, before laying on top of the officer, laying his head on the other's chest.

Apollo's hands naturally went to his waist, looking up at the bright stars. They thought that it could brighten up all of the dark nights for a billion years. It seemed like an entirely another galaxy, meeting there. It seemed like the world belonged to them. "In some ways, maybe it did."

Maybe the entire galaxy did.

Faline

It was surprisingly bright outside at night, which was a rare thing for Japan. Yet, here they were. Faline cuddled up to Apollo's chest. He could hear his mother scolding him for being outside, in the cold, with only a leather jacket protecting him. He laughed quietly.

"What are you thinking about?" Apollo asked. He could feel the officer's hands in his hair, playing with an individual strand. "Would it be cheesy if I said you?" Apollo smiled, which made Faline smile as well. "Yes, it would. But it would also be a lie."

Faline hummed. "My mom." It was quiet for a moment, and Faline thought he had said too much. This was the reason why he doesn't say anything about his personal-

"She seems like a nice lady." Faline smiled, never mind then. "How do you know, you never even met her?" Apollo shrugged. A soft breeze hit the flowers, causing each individual petal to float up into the air.

"Well, think about it. She raised an amazing boy like you, Faline. So I would say she's pretty amazing herself." He scoffed. In Apollo's defense, the gang leader should have seen that one coming.

"Very funny. She was an amazing mom though." Apollo looked at Faline, a sudden sad expression on his face. "Was?" He softly nodded, continuing to lay on top of the other. "Yeah, was."

It was silent once again, Faline was really hating that. He sighed, glancing at the receipt. Their food would be done at 10:53. He looked up at Apollo.

"My love?"

"Yes, darling."

"What's the time."

"11:15."

"Oh, ok."

"...."

"OH SHIT APOLLO OUR FOOD!"
