Chapter 27

Apollo

Faline looked up at him, and Apollo could tell that he wanted to ask something. "So… just a question-" Apollo stopped him, raising a hand. "Is this going to lead into a sex joke?" The gang leader shook his head, laughing. "Most of the words that come out of my mouth lead to a sex joke." Apollo rolls his eyes. "Go."

Faline smirks. "You're not wearing your ring, what happened?" Apollo had the urge to hide his left hand, but he fought it. There was nothing to hide. At least not anymore. "Oh, uh I must have left it at home." He shrugged silently. Faline looked at him, before raising an eyebrow. "Really? Is that all that happened?"

He wouldn't be able to lie to Faline. That was something that he did know. He chuckled, shaking his head. "Wow, you know me so well." Faline waved him off. "We've known each other for only four days, yet here we are." Apollo scoffed, sitting down beside him. "Jesus, I fall in love fast." Faline kissed him on the corner of his mouth. "Don't sneak away from the question. What happened?"

Man, he was good. Apollo sighed, cupping his hands together. "I told her." He mumbled softly. Faline hummed, nodding his head. The room seemed to go serious in a matter of seconds. "And…. how did she take it?" Apollo laughed at the question. How was he supposed to phrase it? "Well, she said that we can still be together, and be the perfect couple that we used to be. And when I told her no, she said that we could be perfect."

Faline sighed, a small frown on his face. "That- it could have ended much worse. At least she's not mad." Apollo groaned, holding his head. He could feel Faline slither his hand into Apollo's, holding it. "I- I don't think she loved me, I think she just loved the lifestyle I gave her."

Faline squeezed Apollo's hand, Apollo smiled softly. His saddened state made him feel like a dummy-downer. He took in a deep breath, he needed to find a happier part of this. "She heard us in the kitchen by the way. I think she was mad you stole her ice cream." Faline scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"So? When have you ever known me to care?" Apollo shrugged, it was a good reply, but Apollo had a better reply. "So, do you care about me?" Faline's smirk turned into a loving smile. He leaned closer to the Apollo until they were only centimeters apart. "I'm still shocked I care about you this much." He said, before moving his head away. Apollo scoffed.

He pulled slightly on Faline's jacket. "Don't think you can get off the hook. I told you what happened with me, now tell me how exactly you got here?"

Faline

The boy with the pink hair gave out an exasperated sigh. He didn't want to talk about this, but he knew he had to. "I just called him. I was feeling very sad." He uttered. He pulled the jacket fully on his shoulders. He combed through his still-damp hair.

"Nothing really important happened. We just talked about ourselves, how we felt about each other, things like that." He knew he was glossing over everything, and making it seems as if it was nothing, but when he looked at Apollo, he rolled his eyes.

Apollo raised an eyebrow, a small smirk prominent on his face. "Really? Just talk? I have a feeling there was more going on than just talking." Faline glared at the other. How did he know! Gucci didn't tell him, did he? "Yes, we did a little more than just talk. I was sad and regretted it after. I think both of us did." Faline shrugged.

The police officer nodded. He didn't seem angry to the pink hair boy, nor mad. He was ok with it, wow. "While you were in the bathroom, he told me about almost everything that happened," Apollo said with a shrug. So Gucci did tell! He inhaled strongly, rolling his shoulders and looking back towards Apollo.

"If I may, though this is your business, what happened." Faline and, before waving him off. He deserved to know. "Oh, it's fine. Remember when I told you that I didn't want to be your second option? The one that you only saw sometimes?"

Apollo looked at him weirdly, which made sense. That was one of those past conversations that most people wouldn't want to bring up. He gave him a sour face, before nodding. "Yeah, I believe I do." Faline took in a breath.

"Well, I went to see Gucci whenever I was hurt or sad. If it was my dad or another gang, he was like my crying pillow. Even if crying meant sex. However, I didn't know that it was hurting him. And, he finally told me about it today, and I realized that I made him my second option. And I couldn't keep doing that anymore."

Apollo nodded his head throughout everything Faline had said, which made Faline anxious. He never really told anyone, any of this. It was something he kept. That promise with Gucci was something he had kept to himself. However, when Apollo hugged him, he knew that everything might be ok.

There was a sharp knock on the door, before Kiyon busted in, a blue and black gun in hand. "Come on." He said, cocking the gun. What was happening?! He had a blue and black leather jacket on. Faline looked at Apollo before standing up. "What's going on?"

Gucci ran in, running to his closet. He could tell Apollo got up at the sound of a gun. "Kiyon, what's happening?" Apollo said from behind him.

"The police found the Kitty Gang's hideout. We need to go."
