Chapter 26

Apollo

He drove the car to stop outside a house. It seemed huge. He slowly stepped out, looking at the grand estate. He had to go all the way to Yamaga to get here, but the house was beautiful. It was themed almost black and white, with grey concrete bricks as a pathway to the door. It was practically a mansion. He shut the door, slowly walking closer. He didn't know what he was supposed to do, so he slowly walked to the house.

About halfway there the door opened, revealing Kiyon. So he was here. The other police officer waved happily. "Welcome to my grand estate!" He said showing off the house. Apollo jogged the rest of the way there, looking up at the house before back down at Kiyon. He owned all of this. "No way, how the hell does I live in an apartment and you live in this mansion."

Kiyon rolled his eyes, opening the door for the both of them. "It's not mine, it's Gucci's." He shrugged, Apollo following him inside Apollo was even more confused when he had heard the name. "Gucci? As the leader of the Blue Rose Gang?" Faline didn't tell him much, only really that the Blue Rose Gang was always stuck in the middle.

Kiyon nodded, he started up a staircase, Apollo hastily followed. Faline didn't tell him about the actual leader. Nor much about the gang, unlike the Black Bloods. As Apollo got to the end of the staircase, he walked down a hall. He stopped at a door, before knocking. "You two done making out in there?" Making out? Was he talking to Gucci or Faline? Were they even in there? Instead of an answer, a boy opened the door.

He was shirtless, that was probably the first thing Apollo noticed. He had light blue hair long and straight. He had the back part of his hair in a ponytail, with the front hanging over his face. Just like Faline, his eyes were crystal white, with the skin around him red. He wasn't completely shirtless, with a blue jacket, embroidered gold flowers on the shoulders and down the chest. His blue eyes looked back at him. He was nervous, Apollo could tell from the boy biting his bottom lip, making it turn red.

He sucked in a breath before stepping to the side. "Hi." He said quietly. That was the boy on the phone. He noticed the deep voice. Kiyon stepped in first, Apollo following. The room was nice and cozy. There was a bookshelf on the side and a desk under the window. He watched as the boy, Apollo would assume was Gucci, sit down on the bed. He chuckled softly. "He's getting ready, sorry." He smiled up at him, the boxy smile reminding him of something.

His eyes widened. That boy, Gucci, was the boy from the photo. "Are you the guy from the photo-" He mumbled, but cut himself off by covering his mouth. That was so rude of him! Why would he ask that out loud! "What photo?" He asked, and Apollo shook his head. "Nothing, I just thought I have seen you before." Gucci looked at him for a second, before nodding.

Apollo felt like he was intruding, standing in a guy's bedroom, which said the guy is in front of him, practically naked. He didn't know how he should feel. However before he could stop himself, he looked up at Gucci, asking him a question that would probably get him killed. "Do you and Faline, were you guys friends? I saw a picture in his room of you two smile."

He watched as Gucci sucked in a breath, not expecting a question like that. He watched as his eyes go from Apollo to someone behind him. "Kiyon, can you give us a minute?" He sighed but nodded. "Fine." He muttered, before walking out of the room and closing the door.

Gucci looked back up at him. "We were1. It's a long and twisted story, so I'm not going to get into it. But, we used to date, back in 2019. Then we broke up. And for a while, we acted like we didn't even know each other. But one night, we saw each other. Things happened, words were said." He shrugged.

February 23rd, 2020

"So.." Gucci mumbled, sitting up in the bed.  He was never good at starting up a conversation. He combed a hand through his blue hair. He has to do something with this mop, leaving it undone isn't going to work. He looked back at Faline, softly smiling. He did love the boy beside him, but he didn't love what was happening between them.

"So what?" Faline retaliated. Great, so he was going to be like this. "Come on, let's not be mad and talk to each other." Faline sighed, sitting up straight. "Ok." So, what now? He didn't know how to talk, he just knew how to fight and spend money. That was a joke. "What are we? Because I will not take friends with benefits  as an answer."

Faline chuckled, there we go. Laughter was better than nothing. "Trust me, we aren't friends." Now it was Gucci's turn to laugh. He rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. "Hey, look who's the bed you crawled into." He said with a smile. Faline leaned over, hugging Gucci lightly. He froze for a second, not knowing what to do before hugging back.

He wanted to love Faline, wanted to be with him. But they both knew, they had gangs to run, and though they weren't at war with each other, they weren't allies. They both knew, that if the Black Bloods found out about each other, that would be a vulnerability for each other, and they didn't want the other getting hurt. So they agreed to break up, though it was a hard decision.

"I have an idea," Faline mumbled softly. Gucci looked down at him, hugging him tighter before letting go. "What is it?" He said. He looked towards the ceiling, not daring to look into Faline's eyes. He didn't know what the other was thinking, but he was also nervous.

"What if we made a promise," Faline started. "To help each other out. We can act like we didn't know each other, but as soon as we need the other, be it you or me, it will be like we were dating again." Gucci's heart fluttered and sank at the same time. He didn't know how he should feel about Faline's words. He wanted Faline all to himself, but he knew that wasn't going to work.

"Let's do it."

Faline

He used the towel to dry his hair one more time, but it just wasn't drying. It was still damp. It stuck to his forehead, which was only aggravating the boy. He huffed, setting the towel on the sink. He shook his head, his hair swinging around like a wet dog. He grabbed his satin pink and gold jacket, sliding it back on his topless body, before turning back around. He looked like a genie.

He chuckled softly, walking out of the room. He walked down the hall and back towards Gucci's room. He felt the familiarity of this hallway and softly smiled. He opened the door to the room. "Hey, my hair is aggravating." He said not, looking up. He had his head down to show how wet his hair still was. "Faline?" A voice question. He looks up and smiles.

Apollo.

He runs up to the officer, jumping on him and hugging him like a koala bear. He could feel the other step back, before holding him. "I'm so sorry." Apollo apologized, his voice decently muffled by Faline's jacket. Faline only held him tighter.

After a minute or two, Faline let go. He placed his feet on the ground, his eyes snapping to the bed as he hear a noise. Gucci stands up, walking towards the door, he had a smile on his face. "I'm gonna leave you two cheesy lovers alone. I better not hear any weird noises coming from this- Oof!" Faline ran up to him, hugging the gang leader as well. "Thank you." He mumbled.

Gucci hugged back for a moment, before stepping away and opening the door. "Your welcome Pink Panther." Gucci walked out, closing the door behind him. Faline turned back around and laughed.

"Man, we have so much to talk about."
