Ethan Vyron Flynn

"Edwin, where is our dad? Why isn't he here yet? It's about time our mother gave birth to Elijah." A 10-year-old young girl with messy braids cuddling her 2-year-old baby brother asked her Twin brother who was wiping the mouth of their 6-year-old sister. 

"Edna, it's harvest time. So dad told me he cannot make it as he will be busy harvesting the grains." Edwin wiped his little sister's mouth and hands with a napkin before handing her the game box as he answered Edna.

"He could do it any other day. Why today of all days?" Edna was angry that their father was not present for their 5th brother's birth. 

"The weather report has predicted heavy rain and thunderstorms this week. With mom giving birth dad alone has to cover the entire field." Edwin offered his father his help but he was denied by his father saying, 'your mother and siblings need your help more than me. Look after them while I am busy here'

"Dad will be using a harvester, so he won't need our help there. We should stay here and look after Eric and Emma as mom gives birth." her twin brother's thoughts did not escape Edna's eyes. Edna and Edwin were a lot mature for their age since they had to take care of their siblings while their parents worked in the fields. 

"Yeah, you are right. But you do know that mother is not going to name her baby after the main character from a famous sitcom which broke all the broadcast records to date." Edwin agreed with his twin sister and also reminded her that their fifth brother definitely will not be named after a famous fictional character. 

"Why not? It's such a good name. Listen, Elijah Flynn, it sounds so right with our family name. And it also starts with an E like all our sibling's names" Edna argued. 

"If he is named that he will become an easy target for all the school bullies. Nope, I won't let you or mother do that to our fifth brother." Edwin has had his share of bullies to know naming a kid after a famous sitcom character was equal to dooming him for life. 

"Who dares to bully my brother? I will break their legs." Edna gave her twin a fierce stare.

"That won't be necessary if you just don't name him after a fictional character voted as the most comical character of the century."  Losing to Edna every fight between them to date, Edwin believed his twin was capable of breaking a few legs if she wanted to. 

"Okay, then we will name him…" before Edna could come up with another baby name Edwin interrupted her saying, "Nope you can't name a baby after your favourite food or toy." 

"Then there are no good names left. Right, Emma" Edna protested and called her little sister to team up on her twin.

"..." Emma was too busy playing with her handheld game console to respond to her big sister or participate in their silly argument. As if their mother would allow these two dunderheads to name her precious baby.  

"There are so many good names out there you just have to think hard enough and don't just say the first name that comes to your mind. we can name him Cornel Flynn." As Edwin said this name his eyes shined brilliantly. 

"Of course you would name our fifth brother that. Now tell me how is naming him after the most famous sports personality any different from naming him after the main character of a popular sitcom." Edna pointed out the irony in his words. 

"How dare you compare the first dualist from our planet to enter the Card Olympics to a fictional character who cannot even wear his pants properly. Come on, why does he keep fixing his pants whenever he sees a lady?" Yelled Edwin unable to fathom why someone would feel the need to constantly keep fixing their pants.

"I don't know, maybe because they are too tight. And don't yell at me" Edna snapped at Edwin for yelling at her. 

"I am not yelling, you are the one who is yelling." Edwin denied Edna and accused her of yelling. 

"Emma, hold Eric for a second will you." Edna fumed and sent Edwin a cold and threatening gaze. 

"Okay, fine I am sorry that I yelled at you." Edwin apologised to his twin and complained, " But you are the one who started it by comparing Cornel West to Elijah Cox. That was uncalled for, how can you compare our planet's hero to a fictional character." 

"I am sorry too, but you do know that mom will not name him Cornel as it does not start with the letter E" Edna knew her brother did not realise that he was being a hypocrite saying that she cannot name their brother after her favourite sitcom character while he is trying to name their brother after his favourite card duelist. But she still apologised as Card Duels meant a lot to him.

"I will convince her." Edwin's eyes shone bright, glancing at the closed door of the bedroom where the delivery was happening in real-time. Edna ignored her twin and continued to cuddle Eric, "you don't grow up like him."  

*Waah* *Waah* *Waah* Soon the cry's of a baby came from behind the closed doors of the bedroom. Hearing the cry the twin's eyes shone brightly and hurriedly stood in front of the bedroom door with great enthusiasm to welcome their baby brother. 

Half an hour later after the first feeding of the baby, the doors of the bedroom opened and the wet nurse walked out carrying the newborn baby wrapped in a white comforter, "Kids meet your new brother. The delivery was a success, as expected it's a healthy boy. But your mother is a little tired, do not disturb her. Nothing to worry about, she will be fine after a nap."

"Ethan, say hello to your siblings." The wet nurse leaned over to show the kids their baby brother's cute face. 

"He is a curious one isn't." commented the wet nurse looking at the beady brown eyes of the baby glance at each of its siblings. 

"Ethan? Mom named him Ethan!" Asked Edwin, a little discouraged. 

"Ethan Flynn, just like Ethan Bolt, the gold medalist of the previous Winter Card Olympics." Edna tried to cheer her twin who was downhearted, unable to name the baby after his favourite Cornel West. 

"No, dear. The baby's full name is Ethan Vyron Flynn. He is named after the two greatest benefactors of your mother's life. Ethan, your mother's army buddy and Vyron his Major Arcana The Horned-Donkey. She owes her life to both of them." The Wet nurse explained to the siblings. 

"Mister Ethan and his champion Vryon must also have served in the Horned-Donkey Minotaur Battalion together with mother," Edna said, remembering the Horned-Donkey Major Arcana Card in her mother's card deck.
