Darkness

Sparkles and waves were all she saw. It kept rubbing against the glass walls without breaking them. The waves were violent due to all the swirling around she was doing.

A chuckle left her lips. No, it wasn't incited by pleasure. It came from the lack of tears that she should be shedding.

Sometimes, we cry so much for so long that it reaches a point where we have nothing left to shade. She has finally reached that point.

The room she was in was a well-furnished apartment. The tall transparent glasses made it clear to see the night sky without much effort.

This was a view she normally enjoyed. Her lonely nights were filled with her sipping on a glass of juice. She would finish carton after carton which would keep her up most of the night.

Of course, the many trips to the washroom were a bonus. Such joy! This wasn't the life she desired nor loved. However, it was the life she currently lived out of necessity.
