Isla listened to the two talk about her as though she wasn't in the room. She couldn't even protest. Feeling intrigued by their conversation more than she felt threatened.
"I trust you with my life. You would never leave any threat to my life to exist. Although the world calls me a monster, between us two, I know who could cause more damage."
Cosmo's words filled Magnus with warmth. He chuckled softly, feeling endeared. His lips found the demon's temple and affectionately kissed him.
"Yes, love. Before we continue our plans, why don't we handle our guests? Although she won't harm us, her family is the cause of all our misery."
Cosmo's head snapped to the corner, finally resting his gaze on the woman who looked like a deer caught in the light. He finally albeit reluctantly stood up from his initial cozy position.
