A Knight with a Reaper's Perspective

The wide assassination and judgment area is filled with all the assassins who are interested to watch the show. Aside from the intentionally not cemented center space, the wide room is surrounded by cemented stairs which also serves as the audience's sitting place. The high roof was seen for it has no ceiling to cover it. It was like it was intentionally made to be that way.

To make a show acquire more light.

One from the manmade lights and another one from the sun if they wanted to do it at day, or the moonlight if they wanted a more gloomy experience.

Luther, Rene, and Rex are not here. And also that guy, who should actually appear here since he was the one to growl at me for her mother. Isn't it just right for him to witness the punishment of the traitor who ushered her mother in the hospital bed?

Why did he get extremely angry at me and not at the said culprit? I can't get the logic behind it.

High. Perhaps highly interested in a bad way that he wants me to die.

The only door this room has, opened, revealing two large men and the glaring blonde girl in between. She is still wearing the same clothes and I doubt if they have already fed her.

She is glaring at any eyes she is meeting like she is very entitled to do so. Even with her defenseless case, she stills finds a way to radiate that attitude of hers.

I certainly know that wasn't a great idea especially now that everyone is preying on her, including me.

We all watched her until both of the men holding her freed their hands on her when she reached the center, the area that has the best spotlight for this afternoon. My eyes stayed on Trey, who did a second look at her state before walking backward to the near door to guard. I stoically roamed my eyes on the area to look for someone and realized he is also not here.

I disregarded that on my mind because that is plainly out of my business. I also got my own problems to battle with.

I do not have any idea how the punishment goes so I remained standing in a far position when assassins from the audience jump up to the center. Four women are approaching her and I recognized them as the quadruplets who preys first on traitors and enemies the mafia has to take.

Their group is known to be the best in physical combat together. Because they are always in sync, it was easy for them to move together to make someone face a trap and an easy death. I saw them do it a lot of times and I couldn't deny the fact that their connection on each other makes the best out of it.

As the saying goes, two is better than one, so how about four minds and bodies working together?

A bomb.

They started walking gradually on Beatriz's sides and I can notice that Beatriz is watching their every move, not letting her guard down. But I doubt she can make it. Especially because she still lacks in a lot of aspects. She seemed to focus on sharpening her tongue and attitude that she failed to train herself better.

Nicky did a fast run towards her and I had a glimpse of Natalie who is on the other side, eyeing at her, preparing to step on Nicky's hand to execute a downward impactful kick with her pointed boots on. Nessa immediately bumped Beatriz hard towards them while Necie was on the other side to prevent Beatriz from escaping the attack.

The room grew more silent, waiting for the attack to happen.

And yes, it was successful.

The high downward kick is rewarded on Beatriz's left shoulder, making her kneel to the ground and scream hard in pain. The impact it made was very strong and critical.

I restrained myself to not get involved in it.

As a pretending loyal reaper, I should just let it go. Let them perform their way.

I can see Trey stepping a bit further on the platform when Beatriz screamed louder, converting her supposed cries to screams because like me, she is that prideful. My eyes remained when Necie suddenly pushed Beatriz up on the chest, making Nessa have greater access for a forceful side kick on her jaw, making Beatriz fall sidely, coughing blood.

After years of watching them fight, I realized that one main flaw they are continuously doing for years is their consistent pattern when they signal on each other.

They weren't easy to read. It reached me years to study them because they do change their signals on some of their best fights. But the basic signals, they always had the same.

Through the years of observing, it is already not that hard for me to guess their next moves. So when someone decided to throw a gun at them from the audience, I ran and jumped off the stairs to reach the center fast.

At the moment Nicky was about to pull the trigger, I kicked it away from Beatriz's head and directed it to her other sister's leg. The gun fire up but instead of Beatriz, Nessa grunted at the shot.

The three reacted fast and moved to lunge at the offender, but immediately halted when I threw a blank stare.

"I am still not done with her." The danger in my eyes and voice screamed louder than the set of fiery eyes and reluctant minds presented on me.

I noticed how Natalie and Necie reacted fast, giving a tap on their younger sister's back because she was so affected on how I made one of her sisters ache. They threw me one last resentful glance before they turn their back on me to guide Nessa, the sister who got shot.

I glanced at the fallen woman.

Why am I suddenly playing the role of a knight for a damsel in distress like her?

Instead of checking more on Beatriz, I proceeded to roam my blank eyes on the crowd because that is what a conceited reaper would do. To check for anyone who wanted to oppose her meddling and challenge them for having that idea.

I meet a lot of different eyes with different sentiments but someone's piercing eyes made me tear mine on the crowd.

Since I seem to wait for nothing, I moved my eyes to Jonas and Trey's position. As soon as they started walking towards the fractured blonde, they are already facing my back. That's the end of day 1, and I had to go before someone gets in my way again.

But even before I escape, I am already arrested.
