I am not angry nor seeing a friend in you, so why am I suddenly risking myself to prove them they were wrong about you?
Instead of directing her to her room, I walked towards the attentive Darius. His eyes traveled on me before carefully scanning the woman on my hold. He placed his bottle of alcohol on the desk, waiting for me to explain what is up.
On why the reaper is carrying a bleeding traitor towards him instead of causing the traitor to bleed in her very own hands.
"Let her live," I requested.
He stared seriously at me, gone was his bit tipsy self. "Not until Luther ordered me to,"
Pissed at all these damn puppets of Luther, I carried the blonde with one hand and used the other to stamp loudly on his desk! I hate the fact that they are all depending on that man's word! That they are all a slave to it!
"Darius! She can't die yet!"
I am sure as hell my neck veins are showing now.
"She is already dying," he said as a matter of fact, leaning on his chair. Firmly stating he won't nurse her even if he can.
I do not want to charge anyone of my doings, but this is the only way.
"Remember you have a favor to do for me." I said, making him remember a dark scene when I found him nearly dying because of taking a lot of medicines in his room. He was so fucked up with all the clear memories of his woman dying because of him so he chose to shut his tireless mind, unfortunately, I entered the picture. I found him and saved him.
He was only 19 at that time and I was on my 18, now he is on his 22 and I am 21. That is why having a great mind is both a blessing and a curse. You do not have the control to stop everything running on it unless you die. And in his case, his woman's demise which keeps playing and playing on his mind made him futile.
I wasn't really taking my "help" as an advantage to have a hold on him because that's a no-brainer, but the situation forced me to. He won't move to help me if I won't ask for it. He promised me before, that for once, he owes me a favor. And he would do it if one day I would ask for him. He said even if it would cost his life, but no, I won't ask anyone to die for me.
No one should die for me anymore.
"Wise." he remarked before he lazily removed himself from the desk and snatched Beatriz on my hold.
I frowned on how he carried the blonde.
"That's not the proper way to hold a woman, man"
He shook his head on me and carried the woman properly, entering his exclusive room. I stepped to also follow inside and he immediately turned his head on me.
"You keep entering a man's room. Don't you understand what it could possibly bring?" he side commented which I didn't get.
I ignored it and entered the room fully still. He placed the woman on the bed and saw how that stained his white bedsheets. He moved fast to open a medium-sized wooden drawer and I saw him get the necessary things I am confused about.
"Does the almighty reaper want to donate her blood for the traitor too?"
Confused, I said, "I am type A,".
I saw him smirk before talking again.
"Go out now, I'll do it."
I grew hesitant to leave her alone with this man and he saw it.
"I stick to my words Aesha,"
"Besides, I won't do anything bad to her. I am only said to guard and memorize those unending details."
His serious eyes turned playful the moment. His dimple showed up, making him look like one of those star models featured in those show-off magazines.
"Unless if it's only you and me in this room. I would probably bend down and propose a marriage,"
Before I could turn my back on him to walk out, the door opened and Remus's eyes wandered on the room.
His frown dwelled at the goggling Darius on me. He raked me and his jaw firmly clenched.
Since Beatriz do not need me anymore, I continued removing myself out of the room for Darius to start attending to her.
Remus was even the one to agitatedly close the door.
I started paving my way out and Remus is again, silently and grimly following me. We reached the parking lot and that is when he flooded me words.
"You are with a man in the same room."
My silence didn't provide him answers so he continued.
"Why?"
How can I save that woman from dying tomorrow again? Don't tell me they would still continue her punishment tomorrow?
But it is just.
She is their traitor.
Then, why isn't she my traitor?
"Is he the one to attend to your hand?"
My eyes dimmed when I remembered how I reacted to that fight again. The last time I became like that is when I was with German. I am having another dark dream about the tragedy and I woke up breaking things in German's house. I even throw his brand-new phone on his wide flat-screen television.
After that, he only buys those classic TVs with small builds and durable Nokia keypad phones.
He said why would he buy expensive flimsy stuffs again when he can have durable yet affordable ones that would stay alive for years?
So him refusing my money and stating he has a lot of money for the dog, surprised me. He is a bit tight on spending his money.
I couldn't follow Remus's laments behind me anymore because I am too busy hearing my own thoughts. All I know is that he keeps blabbering like a burdensome man of mine.
And that he has walked out away from me when I am already on my motorcycle.
I wasted my time watching his broad back and strong long legs as he stride. I watched him as he angrily strides back to the establishment. My eyes taking note of his furious eyes and taut lips.
I wore my helmet on me to go back to the center to rest for a while too.
He is a grown man, he should figure out how to solve that problem alone.
