Surprise visit

It stunned me when he tightly closed his eyes after those words.

I was too indulged in the little moment Luther and I have, but the sudden opening of the door didn't also escape my senses.

I immediately closed the distance and reached Rene's sword to place it on my palm to cover and fight for myself when I saw a group of assassins with swords entering the room.

And it seems like they are all for me.

As soon as Luther opened his eyes, I detected certain satisfaction in it.

And I hate how the redness of it intensified it.

I hate him very much.

"You, our dear reaper will get punished for exposing your true intentions to this trap." he lowly stated with a vicious smile on his lips, as if he didn't just break me again.

What does he mean? I turned my head to Rene.

"We realized you have been making hasty decisions when it comes to the traitor, leading us to suspect that you, can be a red flag to the mafia. Add up that you were clear on how you hated it, so we decided to test how long will you go. "

Darius threw me a polite smile as he remove himself out of the center ground. Luther and Rene also walked away from Beatriz and me, letting the assassins walk towards us.

I felt thrashed at their instant prejudice of me and how it all falls to this.

"Catch the reaper," Luther immediately instructed from the stairs.

Then everything immediately got out of my hand.

I bravely ran towards them to stop them from getting near the unconscious blonde. There are six of them ready to longue at me and I hissed inside my mind when I recognize all of them as the assassins who got trained by Rene for years.

This will be dangerously bloody. And I guarantee my white dress won't be as pure white after this.

Especially because aside from their constant training of swords with Rene, the men's body figures scream a lot of what they can do. I can even vividly see their muscles and hard chest even with their full clothes on.

And here I am, solely having pride and stubbornness fully equipped through the years.

Let's see what it would do for me.

Another bad news is that, my darkness seemed to not fuel me this time because it was discouraged by the tears I permitted to fall earlier.

They circled around me. They did a moment of eyeing each other before one stepped out of the formation and neared me more. He flexed his sword on me with a boastful smirk on his face which I equaled with my unbothered front. I got no time to get amazed at how he skillfully rotated his sword in front of me so I alerted myself with other men, watching me on my every side. I let my sword rest on my side, waiting for any attack to counter.

Way to go broken soul!

"It would be easier to kneel and surrender," the man lectured on me. I bet he is 8-10 years older than me.

I flashed a rude smirk. "Then kneel and surrender to me now."

"You really are difficult," he impatiently remarked, immediately aiming for my legs but I was fast to block it with my sword. I forcefully pushed it and freed myself away of his sword.

Another person behind drew his sword and I am very positive it would cut me deep once it'll reach me.

I just got stunned because instead of anyone's sword reaching and framing me up, someone's shuriken strongly pierced the back of my hand.

Damn it!

I held it with my other hand. The sword in my hand descended to the ground.

"I'm sorry that wasn't supposed to be for you!" a young voice shouted from above.

My eyes widened when I recognized a familiar face above the no ceiling roof. The automated door opened for another recognizable face.

A man with his usual clothes I remembered, entered, and his forehead creased when he realized the situation I am in. He inspected the situation, then immediately found Luther in his position.

"Why are these men aiming their swords on Allison's daughter, Luther?"

And I literally got clueless about everything I thought I knew.
