Chapter 41

"Do you need some extra company?" the on one the right, Dextero asked with a smile of his own. He seemed to be the slightly more reserved of the two. Though there was something different about the look in his eye compared to Sinestro.

"Don't you have your own clients that you can bother? Leave mine alone for one night." Liam joked as he put his arm tighter around Celeste as he drew her closer.

"It's nice to meet the two of you." She finally managed to say after a few moments of observing the other two.

"You don't have to greet them if you don't want to. They really are a couple of troublemakers. Jeremy only hired them because of their looks and the fact that he felt bad for them." Her friend remarked as he refilled her glass a second time with his free arm.

"Troublemakers? Perhaps we were hired only for our looks but could we really be considered trouble since business has been doing better since we came?" Sinestro asked with a laugh.

"That's only because in this type of business twins are popular you and two happen to be a pair of shameless ones." Liam pointed with a roll of his eyes.

He had seen a fair share of people come and go over the few months that he had been a host but the two brothers were most shameless ones he had met yet. If anyone was likely to take him over in the ranking it would be them.

"Women love shameless though." Dextero pointed out and his brother nodded his head.

"Being shameless is just doing the best we can at the job we're tasked with." he added on.

"Go and do your best elsewhere then and leave my innocent friend alone. She's mine tonight." He told them as he waved them off to leave. They did so begrudgingly it seemed after trying to coax the other one more time to share with them.

"They haven't been here all that long but I might recommend watching yourself around them." Liam warned once he was sure that the twins were far enough away and out of earshot so he could speak freely with Celeste.

"Is there something bad about them?" She asked as she glanced back over to where they were now at at table speaking with another female guest. It seemed they did a quite a good job of charming the customers based upon the way that the woman was flirting with them.

"I'm not sure. I just have a bad feeling about them even though they haven't done anything to warrant it." he answered honestly, taking a sip out of his own glass.

"They do their job very well. Almost too much so and it always seems like when new customers come in that they're looking for someone specific." he explained.

"I doubt that you will come here all that often on your own, but if you do, call me ahead of time and I'll always come pick you up and be with you just to be safe." Celeste nodded her head as she picked up her glass to take a drink. The alcohol they served there tasted much better than what she had at the club she went to with Jen.

They spent the next hour and half catching up and talking about various things before Liam suddenly got a call. Since Celeste was currently a client, he didn't mind answering it while she was there. He had been taught how to talk about important things over the phone while customers were around without letting anything important slip out.

Celeste wasn't paying too much attention anyways, she was still trying to take in the whole feel of the club. The dark purple and red velvet seats gave off the impression that it was more of a higher class place. They were overly soft and comfortable as well or at least the sofa-esque thing she was sitting on was. She could only guess the lights were dimmed the way they were to try and create a certain mood within the club.

"Really? And she absolutely will only see me and no one else? I thought that she was supposed to still be out of town for a few days?" Liam sounded both perplexed and stressed out.

"And you told her I already had a client for the night?" he paused after this question. "Why would you say that? It isn't true though." he became quiet again as the other muted voice kept talking on the other end of the phone. It was obvious though that something had been said to annoy him.

"Alright, but you better make this up to me." he said before the phone called ended.

"Sorry love, it would seem as though in about thirty minutes, my time won't be yours for a little bit. I have a bit of a high maintenance customer coming in." He explained with a frown.

"That's okay. I don't mind staying here if you're still going to be around." Celeste assured him. Seeing as he was here ride to the club, she didn't really have much of a choice unless she wanted to get a taxi. Taxis at night though could be both dangerous and troublesome.

"I'll still keep an eye on you from where I'm at." He pointed to table that was located three table lengths away.

"As long as you stay right here I'll be able to see what's going on with you just fine." he patted her on the head when she said this. This action made her think back to Bane somehow. She vaguely remembered that he had done such a thing to her, but couldn't remember when.

Although she wanted to keep him out of her mind, there was a part of her that felt drawn to him, a odd dangerous curiosity that made her want to get to know more about him despite knowing how dangerous that could be.

"I need to go get ready though. I won't be long though." Liam assured her as he got up after making sure there was enough liquid left in her cup. Part of his job was to make sure he stayed freshened up and good smelling any time a new customer came in. It was to give off the impression that each host was making sure they only gave their best to that one specific client.

It made the host want to roll his eyes at times, but he would never verbally complain. It paid too well for him to consider leaving the job no matter how ridiculous he thought certain expectations and rules were.

Celeste thought that she would be fine for the few minutes that she expected her friend to be gone for. However, five minutes had hardly passed before she found herself boxed in by the twins. Where had they even come from in the first place.

"Hello little kitten, I hope you don't mind us taking this spot since your friend isn't here right now?" Dextero asked with a small yet charming smirk as he faced the little human.

"Since we have a few minutes, we would love to get to know more about you. Specifically your relationship with that demon Alpha."
