A Fox Girl And A Dog Girl

Hey, Shun here!

It might not have been obvious enough but I really like animal-eared girls!

My love for fantasy is so deep that it even extended to the fantasy-like girls.

(Shun's POV)

After getting to know the two beastkin girls for five days, I more or less understood that these two were somehow or another abducted from somewhere and got trained at the slum's slave market ever since they were kids. As for their parents, none of them remembered who their parents are.

Today, after five days of rest, we've decided to once again travel to the Tsia City. This time, Rokuko will be coming with me, along with the two kids.

"Alright, Rokuko, Ikumei, Zenko, Tsuka, are you girls ready?"

Right. I gave the two girls names already.

I wanted to give them surnames as well but let's leave it for when they register as adventurers. Ikumei is the dog-eared girl while Zenko is the fox-eared girl.

I asked them what their names were but they only answered me with a single word, "Niku". Thus, I got to get creative and think up of a name for them.

Getting creative isn't my strong suit but I hope the names were great. It's going to be a disaster if the older selves of Ikumei and Zenko came running towards me with knife in hand in the future because they didn't like the names at all.

I wasn't planning on going to Tsia City for atleast a week or so but Rokuko insisted that she wanted to go visit the town as well. Thus, I complied to her request, mainly because I know that she's been inside this cave, or more specifically, the Master Room, for ten grueling years.

If I were her, I don't know whether or not I could remain sane for such a long time. Like, seriously, staying inside a room filled only with white colors with nobody to talk to is a recipe for extreme boredom.

In the worst case scenario, someone might also become insane. Just for that reason, I came to really respect Rokuko.

"We're more than ready for this, Shun!" Rokuko said while placing both of her hands on her waist.

"Squeak~! Ready, master~!" Tsuka replied while riding on my shoulders.

Meanwhile, the two girls, Zenko and Ikumei, answered back as well. Ikumei is quite the quiet type of person, that's why one might not be able to hear her clearly when she speaks.

"We're ready, master."

"Umm… Ready, master."

Rokuko is currently back to her adult version while Zenko and Ikumei is still wearing the clothes I gave them. I inlaid some magic stones into their clothes and made it into a golem that would assist their movements.

As an aside, I redesigned their collars into something that wouldn't make them look like a slave. I sewed some new fibers into it using my [Create Golem] in order to make it look a lot like those great looking chokers back on Earth.

Right. I also did the same with Rokuko's clothes. Of course, I had her permission to do so.

Just to be safe, I uploaded some of my movements to the golems in order to help them in case they needed to protect themselves. I'd hate myself if something were to happen to them, after all.

"Since you girls are ready, let's go?"

"Yeah! Let's go, let's goooo!"

"Squeak! Let's, goo!"

""O-Ou!""

Alongside the overly energetic shouts of Rokuko and Tsuka, and the hesitant shouts of Ikumei and Zenko, we started our journey towards the city of Tsia.

✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽

It took us a really long time to reach the city of Tsia since I had to match my pace with the girls. While I'm at it, I also taught them how to fight the monsters that we encounter.

Rokuko was more focused on going to the city as fast as possible so she didn't listen as much but Ikumei and Zenko listened to my lectures attentively. These two does remind me of Pochi and Tama, but Pochi and Tama are more on the childish side while these two are quite mature already for their age.

When we arrived at the city, Rokuko couldn't help but exclaim in fascination.

"So this is the city! Just like I imagined!"

"Good for you, Rokuko. Let's go. Mr. Gatekeeper over there might arrest us or something if we gawk any longer."

While urging Rokuko to stop gawking at the city, I walked towards the gatekeeper. He's the same gatekeeper who I met just a few days ago when I first entered the city.

"Looks like you brought many girls with you this time, boy." The gatekeeper said with a slight smirk on his face.

"Squeak! Tsuka, here, too!" Tsuka yelled at the gatekeeper, telling him that she is here as well.

Noticing the angered gaze of the Vorpal Bunny, the gatekeeper's smirk turned into a wry smile.

"And a rabbit, too…"

"Haha. Yeah. My friend really wanted to visit the city, that's why I brought them with me."

"What about those two beastkin girls, then? Are they… uh… slaves? They don't look like one to me…" Mr. Gatekeeper asked as he directed his gaze at Ikumei and Zenko. It looks like he didn't want to ask anything about Tsuka who is currently nodding her head in satisfaction.

What are you doing?

"Hmm? Yeah. They're slaves that I met while I was on my way to the [Ordinary Cave]."

The guard seems to be surprised at my answer. What? Did he not expect that he was right?

Oh, well, I can't really blame him. Ikumei and Zenko just doesn't resemble the slaves that I often see in the city during my visit.

"Well, since they are slaves, the collars will work as their identification. As for your friend, she needs an identification." I figured as much.

"Then, guide us again to the Adventurer's Guild, Mr. Gatekeeper."

"Alright. Follow me."

And so, we followed Mr. Gatekeeper to the Adventurer's Guild. As we kept on walking towards the Adventurer's Guild, Rokuko's eyes wandered all around, looking at our surroundings with excitement.

"Woahh! Cities look awesome, Shun! Let's go back here again!"

"You're talking about going back when we just arrived here?"

"Of course! What's wrong with that!?"

Zenko and Ikumei, on the other hand, were clinging onto me on both sides. These two are still getting used to their current life.

It didn't really take us long before we all managed to enter inside the Adventurer's Guild to register the three girls. Let's just say, my current stock of silver coins went down by a half.

Nine silver coins, gone, just like that. I'm already living in this fantasy world for more than half a month but I haven't earned that much money.

I guess we'll need to go through our inn plan even without a backing.

✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽

Three days in after we went to Tsia City and I'm finally done with all the information gathering I needed. I still don't know that many things about this world but based in what I gathered about Tsia City as a whole, I could more or less surmise that our inn will be a great success.

Zenko and Ikumei doesn't really know much about common sense in this world, so I guess I could just go to a 'legal' slave market and buy a slave that knows about this world when I get enough money.

I don't know. We'll see.

Currently, I just finished massacring a whole bunch of Goblins around the forest before cutting off their left ears. I was told that Goblin Ears are used as subjugation proofs so I mainly hunted these little creatures down in order to crank up our ranks.

At my right, there is Zenko and Ikumei squaring off against three Goblins each.

"Haaaa! Ei! Ei!"

*slash* *slash*

Zenko is slashing her swords at the Goblins wildly while performing some acrobatic stunts that you would never expect a twelve year old girl to do while wielding two swords. She didn't even show any hesitation on her face as she basically dissected the poor green-skinned creatures.

This girl's cold blooded. She's gonna grow up as a really fine swordmaster at this rate.

Unlike Zenko who is basically trying to copy my style by wielding a golem-katana that I made — a katana with a blade that would vibrate at a high frequency once you inject mana to it — Ikumei, on the other hand, likes to wield a one-handed western sword. Similar to Pochi, Ikumei is kind of like a fighter that relies more on her instincts.

Also, I just noticed this, but it looks like Ikumei is just naturally quite timid and quiet. However, in terms of fighting, she's even more ruthless than Zenko.

Zenko likes to first target the joints of her enemy, incapacitating them, so that she could deal the final blow that will 100% hit and kill the target. Ikumei, on the other hand, just goes for the most fatal blows available right on the get go.

If her first first blow doesn't work, she will do it again. As she and Zenko could use the wearable movement assistance Golems to perform their every moves, even being able to cover up their blind spots with its help, she could and would do some weird stuffs during a battle.

Like right now. When she noticed that the three Goblins have encircled her, she did something that is frankly unbelievable. The move she just did is not something a kid her age could do right now.

Ikumei started spinning around on her tippy-toes like a ballerina while holding out her sword made out a golem. The blade was about on the same level as a goblin's neck.

I never taught her that move. She just did it by her instinct. The most quiet once are really the most scary.

"Alright Ikumei, Zenko, good job. We're done for today. Put all of the Goblin ears inside the bag and let's go. We won't be returning to this city for a while…"

"Yes! Master!"

"Um… Yes, Master."

I patted them on the head before casting [Purification] on them. I have to make sure that they and their dress are free from the blood of these Goblins.

""Hyafuui!""

I've been using [Purification] to get rid of any dirt or grime but they still haven't gotten used to it. Really cute.

Well, now, it's time to go back to the dungeon.

Oh, right! Did I mention that I already picked up the investigation quest before going on hunting rabbits?
