Written Stories Change?

Hey, Shun here!

Let's say that you took every human's past and wrote it in a book format. Let's say that each and every stories in every book are like that, the absolutes and whatever happened to that books plot, whatever story that book told, will happen or is happening somewhere in the world.

Let's say that you are someone who could read these types of books. What would you do if you were already sold on the idea that these books are absolute and that they tell you the future, what the future will hold, and that, by extension, makes you the absolute as well?

Act like you're God of course. But are you really God?

(Shun's POV)

"We're back, huh…" I muttered to myself while looking at my room which I haven't seen in so long…

"Squeak~! Master and Tsuka, home~!" Tsuka cried out before flying off towards the bed and plopping herself on top of it.

"Yaa, it's been a while… The taste of home sure is different, isn't it?" I murmured while laying down on my bed as well.

"Squeak~! Yes, Master~!"

'Ah, I totally forgot to put my travelling bag on one corner.' I thought to myself.

With that in mind, I stood up and placed the thing on the side of my room. With the clunking sounds coming out of my room, my mother probably heard it. She just happens to pass by and was probably on her way to the kitchen to get some glass of water or whatever.

"Shun? You're still awake, dear? Go and sleep now or you'll be late for school." Mom said softly.

"'Kay Mom! I was just arranging some things real quick before sleeping." I said while finishing what I'm doing.

"Okay, that's good. Go sleep now, okay? I'll go check up on you later…" Mom sounds like she's suspecting I will play [OSO] until morning.

I mean, she isn't wrong for suspecting that but, currently, I won't do such a thing right after going back from a very long quest. I'm very tired already, after all…

After I answered to her, I heard mom's footsteps gradually go further. Then, at some point, it stopped.

"Miu, you little girl, what are you even doing… Cover yourself properly with a blanket, geez."

Looks like she arrived in front of Miu's room. If I remember correctly, I already covered her with a blanket, didn't I?

Well, she's just too mischievous even while sleeping.

Whilst I was resting on top of my bed once again, I suddenly remembered that I totally haven't checked on the notifications that the [Group Chat] sent us fully.

"Speaking of [Group Chat] though, I haven't given the girls their gifts yet. Well, I guess it's fine… I'm too sleepy now… Haaaaa~!" Letting out a yawn, I covered myself with the blanket.

"I'll do that tomorrow… I'm sure they will understand…"

(Third Person's POV)

At a different dimension, there is a book store. Inside that book store, there was a room full of books and bookshelves.

The bookshelves were lined up in no particular order nor system to them, with mountains of books piled up on the floor, forming a mini hill of books. At the very foot of this small hill made up of books, there was a faint light coming from what seems to be a lamp of sorts, and beside it sat a girl reading a book.

She had long, red hair, and wore a very old-fashioned, gothic style dress. Somehow, despite looking so young, she gave out the impression of an elderly, or perhaps even someone older than that.

Using a stack of books as her chair, she was peacefully reading the book she is holding, flipping through the pages lightly.

This girl's name is Ende, and she is a self-proclaimed bookseller. Of course, her way of treating the books is a little too rough for her to possibly be a real bookseller, but the same stack of books surrounding her is what probably made her think or call herself that.

As Ende flipped through the book, her expression became more and more surprised, as well as a little puzzled. As she read the book even more, she stumbled upon a huge chunk of the book that was left blank.

"What?"

Puzzled, Ende flipped through the pages until she arrived at the last pages. There, she picked up where she left off and tried to read the book in extreme concentration once again.

However, as she continued to read, she couldn't help but notice something different. The plot of the story in the book suddenly changed and it suddenly had more of a romantic undertones to it.

What's more, the sudden change of tone in the story left her extremely baffled as she never expected a chaotic and drastic change to the story. Why does it feel like the person that she felt was just a major supporting role in the book is having more and more appearances as she flipped through more and more pages?

First, it was that Kurokami Island Arc that she has read. Now, there's this sudden change in the tone and the plot of the story.

This defied all of the logic that she knew of. To her knowledge, it was impossible to overturn a story once told, or to force a development that completely defied logic.

To a Worldview Holder such as her, that was the unbreakable rule.

"Sakaki Mutsuko… Are you really that powerful? What are you hiding? How are you hiding it?" Ende wondered.

She's now curious. This Sakaki Mutsuko is currently twisting the story, forcing it to change seemingly to her whims.

Ende pondered for a time about what to do next. After thinking for a while, at last, she concluded.

"Ah well, nevermind. It's such a pain…" She then threw the book away, joining the pile of books that's beside her.

"I'll just wait and see if my story and hers will ever cross again…"

Picking up another book from the shelf behind her, Ende once again started to read. This was indeed a bizarre day for her, but it's not like she never encountered any of those things.

In truth, she encounters it on a daily basis. It's not only Mutsuko, her brother, and their acquaintances who knew of the truth about this world.

✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽

At the Sakaki household's humble abode, two people are currently seated on the sofa at the living room, watching the television. The first one have silky smooth black hair and reddish pink eyes while the other is a purple haired girl with reddish pink colored eyes as well.

The two seems to have a lot of difference in terms of the height department, as well as their chest department. Although the older one with black hair is definitely taller and seem like she is more hydrodynamic, the younger looking one seems to have more buoyancy than the older one.

The younger one seems to be more fashionable in terms of clothing style and just the way she carries herself while the older one is more casual and simplistic. These two are the Sakaki sisters, Sakaki Mutsuko and Sakaki Yoriko.

"Hey, onee-chan…" Yoriko called out to Mutsuko while her eyes is still affixed on the TV screen.

"Hmm? What's it, Yori?"

Yoriko took a sideways glance at what her older sister was doing and saw her entirely focused on the screen of her smartphone. She have noticed this for months now but, her big sister really changed a lot.

Not only did she become even more devilish when it comes to training her and Yoriko's older brother, she herself seems to be becoming a lot stronger. However, that's not the most glaring change on her older sister.

The most glaring change in her sister was how frequently she uses her smartphone. In the past, she rarely ever used her smartphone. However, for the past few months, she's been using her phone non-stop.

"Isn't this your favorite show, onee-chan? You aren't going to watch?"

"Nope. Not right now, Yori…"

*jiiiiiiiiiiii~*

Yoriko gazed at Mutsuko intensely, watching her older sister type on her smartphone at blistering speeds.

"Pretty sure you aren't focusing on your all-time favorite show because you're too focused on chatting with your boyfriend…"

Mutsuko flinched slightly when she heard Yoriko's words but, like the cool headed girl that she is, she immediately recovered.

"Nope, I wasn't chatting with Shun-kun but with my friends."

"Friends, huh…"

*jiiiiiiiiiiii~*

Yoriko once again watched her sister, seemingly trying to find in her body language if she is lying or not.

"Okay, looks like you're not lying. But onee-chan, what have you been up to lately? You seem to have gotten stronger again since the last time I saw you, and the last time I saw you was, like, two hours ago…"

Upon hearing her sister's words, Mutsuko looked at her sister seriously before saying.

"I've been telling you and Yuu, I have been out multiple times to travel to different dimensions. Just a few hours back, we met with a yellow octopus that could reach the max speed of Mach 20."

Even though Mutsuko was telling the truth, Yoriko just looked at her as if she were looking at an idiot.

"Don't lie to me, onee-chan. You know that there's no way an octopus like that exists!?"

"At first, I thought so too as well. But it does exist. There was even a black one that could go as fast as Mach 30."

"You're kidding, right, onee-chan?"

"Like I've been telling you Yori, I'm not. I've been repeatedly telling you right? Supernatural and other worlds exists. Aliens with out of this world powers exists. Different iterations of Earths exist!"

Mutsuko got heated trying to explain to her younger sister about what she knew. However, until her sister was able to witness it with her own two eyes, she wouldn't believe.

Looking at the screen of her smartphone, she saw her [Group Chat]. It was then that an idea hit her.

Didn't a new function just open up?

"How about this, then. We're planning on having a meet up next weekend and they all decided that they will visit our dimension. I'll have you and the entire Survival Club meet up with them and probably have a few matches against them as training. I'm pretty sure that will make you believe me." Mutsuko said after standing up on top of the sofa.

She declared it with so much conviction that Yoriko could only nod her head passively, swayed by her momentum.

"Yosh! It's decided then! I'm sure you'll be surprised when you meet them, Yori. Let's go! Come sleep with your onee-chan tonight! I have many stories to tell you!"

"A-Ah! Wait! Onee-chan! My favorite show is just about to come up! Waaaait! I said wait! Mou!"

And so, Mutsuko dragged her helpless little sister, Yoriko, to her room. Even though she knew that her little sister doesn't believe her stories, Mutsuko doesn't give a flying frick about it.

What's important is that she wanted to bond with her sister more and that she wanted to share the fun experience that she had at that other dimension. She missed her family so much.
