He crumbled to the ground as if he were a bag of bones, even then, no one moved. Were they going to stand there like statutes while I took them out one by one? I shrugged. This would make things easier. All at once, there was movement as if they finally realized what was happening.

I’ll admit that for a minute there I thought they weren’t going to fight back. How useless would their large numbers have been if all they did was watch when under attack? I felt better knowing they were going to at least try.

My mind went blank as a lanky creature lunged at me. He was taller than the last with straggly blonde hair. He was skin and bones and I doubt he could shift. I knew prey when I saw it. I didn’t even try to dodge his attack, there was no strength behind it, he was weak.
