MY SAM.
Lexie.
After finishing clearing the table, washing the dishes, and watching TV a bit, we decided that the best thing was to go to rest. Tomorrow a busy day awaits us at the summer house. And since then she has been lying in my bed without lying down and looking at the ceiling, I can't sleep, I want to know how everyone is, I want to see Sam.
After half an hour of walking around my room deciding what to do, I finally make up my mind. I know Liam must be downstairs fixing his friend's room and when I come downstairs he is already welcoming me with his usual smile.
—You want me to take you, right? —He says more affirming than asking.
—How did you know? —I ask.
—I'm your brother Lex —he replies, shrugging as he puts on his sweatshirt— I'll wait for you in the car.
That said, he walks past me and he kisses my forehead. I run to my room to change my clothes. I choose a yellow dress that reaches mid-thigh and with a v-cut across my breasts. I wear the caramel-colored contact lens because Sam has always said that he loves my caramel eyes.
I straighten my hair a little and grab the silver heels that I like so much, when I see that I like my look, I walk out the door.
—You're pretty —he smiles at me.
—Thank you —I say proudly since I didn't try so hard to fix myself.
The journey by car to ARTEMIS seems eternal, I am already looking forward to seeing Aleix and the others, I know perfectly well that Fridays always stop by the bar after a long week and since Aleix works here I will certainly see him today.
We parked directly in front of the bar and since I have a VIP card that Aleix gave me, I have a free pass. It is one of the privileges of having a friend who is part of the most famous bar in the city.
When I get to take the handle to get out of the car Liam stops me, and he looks at me seriously.
—Promise me that when you see them you won't lose your temper —he nods in the direction of the bar.
—They're my friends Liam, don't start and let's go —the truth is that I don't know what this attitude of him is due to, but I'm not going to stay to find out either. I want to go in but now!
—It's okay. But I won't be able to come in with you —she says.
—Quiet. Go meet your friend, then see you at home.
He nods and puts the car in reverse to get back the way we came, the wheels of the car screeching down the street and I stare at the asphalt with a horrible feeling in my chest. I have a strange feeling, something tells me I should not go in.
But without a doubt I have to do it, they do not know that I woke up and these weeks of recovery have been eternal, I am excited and at the same time very nervous to see them. I hope that his reaction is pleasant and I hope that Sam is happy to see me because without a doubt the greatest of my reasons why I am here tonight is because of him. My Sam.
