9 : Lunch

He'll be here in a minute son. " after mom said that the door opens and reveals my dad. He walks to my mom and kiss her then he pats me on the back. We ate dinner while talking and mom boasting that she got a granddaughter and a daughter somewhere. Me and my dad just laugh at her because we know that she badly wants to have those. Our dinner ended with the three of us bickering.

Days passed and it's been two days since I came home. I tried to be casual with my family. They didn't know what I am doing for these past few days. We are close but I seldom talk about my personal life. We only talked about work especially father. No offense, my mother is the sweetest person I've known.

Today is Wednesday and I'm on the way to work with my 2020 McLaren GT. I fucking hate waking up early sometimes but work is very important. I drove fast not caring about traffic lights. They can follow but I don't care though. After half an hour of driving I stop and park infront of my building. I get out of my car and strode towards the entrance.

"Good morning, Mr. Won" the guard greets while bowing down in respect in which I replied with just a nod.

I continued towards my private elevator and press the top which is forty with everyone running around and resume their task when they saw me came. I don't mind actually, though they still have five minutes before office hour starts. The lift opens and I step inside closing it after and went up. It stops at my destination and I went out. I went towards my office and saw my secretary at her desk doing something on her face.

" I want a black coffee in my office asap. No sugar. " I said in a hard tone and continue without glancing at her. But I saw in my peripheral vision that she got her eyes wide and scurried away after saying a quick 'good morning Sir and Yes Sir'. I smirk. I've known that she likes me and sometimes tried to flirt with me but I always dismiss her. I can't fire her for that reason because she's good at her work.

I sit on my chair while checking my phone on any messages. After knowing that there's none, I relax and lean back waiting for my secretary. Minute later a knock was heard at the door and my secretary came with my coffee and a pile of folders. Damn. Today is gonna be a busy and long day.

" Sir, here's your coffee. And here are the files that you needed to check. As of today you don't have any meetings to attend to. So, you're free today after these files. " she said filling me with those information.

" Good. You can go now. " I dismiss her as I sip on my coffee while checking the files. I didn't hear the door close so I lift up and saw my secretary staring at me still.

" What?! Go now.! " I arch my brows when she smiles flirting at me then goes to the door swaying her hips harder and close. I sighed in relief.

Lunch time came when I went out and decided to eat at my mall. It's just a ten minutes drive from here and maybe I can visit my people in there.

So I went to my private parking lot and get inside my car and drove onto the busy streets. While driving, my phone buzzed signalling that I have a call. I connect my phone to Bluetooth then answered.

" hey man ". I greeted.

" Sup. Busy? "

" Nope. On my way to JW Mall. Wanna meet? " I ask while my eyes focus on the road.

" Sure, why not bro. I'm just near in there. I'll meet you at NIC. "

" NIC? What's that? "

" Lol bro. You don't know NIC? They're popular on their foods. International Cuisine may I say. " he said chuckling.

" Great. I need foods right now. I'll find that store. See you there then. " I added then cut the call after Peter said his goodbye.

Few minutes later and I park my car in front of the mall. I get out and strode my way inside. I tried to find that store Peter said earlier. I went to the lift and press four hoping since restaurants are situated in that area. Yes, it's confusing that I don't know what stores are inside my mall but you'll figure that out soon. I'm the CEO but I let my brother manage this establishment. Go to meetings, sign a contract, etc. but he let me check everything first and then he can proceed after.

The elevator made a 'ding' sound and I went out of it and look around. There's a lot of stalls and stores that cater the space. I roam my eyes around trying to find something that will catches my attention. As soon as I starts to walk, my phone vibrated on the back pocket of my slacks and answer it.

" Yes "

" Where are you? " Peter asks.

" On the other side? " Pete laugh and I curse. " I'll be there in a few. And Pete?" I heard him say yes and I say

" Fuck you! "

I walk my way to the other side and I sighed in relief as the restaurant came into view. I make it to the door when my phone rang again. This time it's my brother.

" Hey Trev " I answered.

" Sup bro. Let's go out and have lunch, yeah?" he suggested.

" Actually, perfect timing. We're here at NIC. Find us here, alright?" I dismissed.

" I know that place. Alright. See ya."

I hung up then went inside. I look around and I was amazed of what I see. This place screams wealth. I like the ambiance. It's cozy and peaceful. The architecture is perfect with the chandeliers everywhere. I guess this is a five star restaurant. I just didn't know this one. I look around and see Pete waving his hand for me in the corner of the restaurant beside the glass wall. I walk towards him.

" Hey man." I greeted him by patting his shoulder. I sat then told him about Trev joining us. He seems excited because it's been a while since the three of us hang out. While waiting we've decided to order for the three of us, Trev won't mind though. Pete was looking around to find a waitress and when he did he waves his hand to order. Such a gentleman. Well just insert sarcasm. Tsk.

" Hey babe, we want to order " Peter state while winking the waitress. The waitress didn't mind him which is new.

" What do you want to have Sir? " the waitress replied with a calm tone. I'm surprised. I don't know how they are trained but that was impressive. Peter glance at me signalling what I want.

"Hmm, I'll have Bombolotti all' Amatriciana." I said after checking the menu and looks at Peter who haven't decided yet.

" How about you man? " I ask him.

" Hmm, I think we have in the mood for pasta so two orders of Linguine allo Scoglio and bowls fruits, make it three then and your finest white wine. That's all. " Pete said looking at the waitress who is busy writing their orders. The name tag says Lina and her uniform is quite different from the others so maybe she's a head waitress.

" Ok Sir. I'll be right back with your orders in ten minutes. " the waitress said then walks away. Peter is still staring at her. I laugh to myself.

" Yo, dude. Prospect? " I ask wiggling my brows then I made a low laugh and tease him.

" I like her man. She seems feisty and very professional. I like a challenge and you know that. "

" Well then, how about you initiate the talk. You know about stuff, like who's the owner of this restaurant, about her works, what she likes, and blah blah blah. " I suggest and he seems to take it seriously.

" Hmm, I like that. " He said forming a smile on his lips then roam his eyes again to look for that familiar girl.

Minutes passed then Trev decided to show up. We catch up then talk a little when our food came with a different person, this time it's a waiter and not a waitress.

We ate silently until we've finished. I must say that this place will be my new favourite place to eat. Their foods are delicious. And we've enjoyed a lot.

We payed our bill then went back to our designated companies but what I didn't know is there's a surprise awaiting for me in my office.
