Dreadful Chimera

Luan was wandering alone in the empty corridor. He saw a door set into the wallpaper wall between two glass windows. He tried the handle and it swung open. The hinges shrieked in protest and shed red flakes of rust. He took another step forward and the door shut behind him with an echoing slam, plunging him into darkness. The room smelled of rust and disuse.

This room felt unfamiliar to him. Did he ever step into this room before? Luan felt his fingers stiff with cold and the air in the room was like ice. It was one heck of cold temperature he ever felt. The hair along the back of his neck was prickling, and his every nerve screaming. Something felt so wrong.

The moonlight peeked through the French window, he saw a slender figure of a girl stood in front of him. Her hands clasped across her chest. His hand shook. “Evangeline?”
