Chapter 69: CYNOPHOBIA

Haha, it was really bold of me to assume that the day would be pretty simple. Just painting and nothing else.

After that, I had to stop by at work for last-minute details. It was late in the night, normally a movie should be rolling on the screen. But instead, I sat there alone staring into space.

“How are you holding up?” I asked Natasha as she flopped down on the couch. That was the same thing I had done earlier.

Talking in an almost inaudible whisper, “Very very tired.”

“Even too tired to check out the new bedroom walls?”

“Yes, even that.”

“Ouch.” I sighed exasperatedly, not having anything else to say. Usually, I am a man of many words. Apparently, today wasn't one of those usual days.

“Thank you though.” She said, squeezing my hand gently. “For everything. I saw how much effort you put into making today fun.”
