Chapter 99: TERRIBLE LYING EAVESDROPPER

Mum has never sounded that anxious about anything. She was always calm and collected. Now, her anxiety was making me anxious.

“I guess I have no choice.” Hopping out off the couch, “What mum wants, mum gets.” I allowed my feet to lead me in the direction of the front door, as I grasped my phone tightly in my hand in case she called again. It might be a prank, who knows? Although, that was highly unlikely because she sounded extremely serious.

Upon getting to the front door, an inhale and exhale left my nose. One hand tugged on my hair, and the other twisted the doorknob, pulling the door towards me.

“AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” “AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!” Gerald and I screamed loudly enough to bring down the hotel building, at the same time. The people walking down the lobby at the time, stared us down as though we had just grown an extra head.

Gerald tried to catch his breath, whispering to me, “Why are they staring at us?”
