Chapter 100: SURPRISE HUGS

“So Jeremy, can I come with you?” Gerald repeated the same line I had already heard, a thousand times since I started packing.

With each cloth that I fold into my suitcase, Gerald asks me to go with him. With a more interesting reason than the last.

Like a rehearsed line, “No.”

To be fair, I had already said it to him enough for it to be considered to be rehearsed.

“Why? You would be bored on the plane and need company.” He came up with another reason for me to take him along.

“No thanks.”Pausing with my cloth folding for a second, “I would do just fine.”

A flight trip from Japan to New York usually takes 15-16 hours. I might get bored with no companion, but I really don't mind. It would be fine after all.

Dramatically sniffing, “I always knew you didn't consider me as your friend.” He dissolved into fake crying, in order to get me to change my mind.

Tsk, tsk man-child.
