Names Ryton Yu

"For all these years, I thank you for your fidelity to me," she wiped at her eyes, "I know much change had happened while I was asleep. I must fix this."

"You will. We believe in you," the older male nodded, "Like my wife, I also had met you when I was young. You were speaking with the entire village and while you were talking about becoming good, finding love and happiness, I shouted, 'I will!'"

The older man laughed and shook his head.

"If it were to happen now, I would not even dare. I thought I would get reprimanded, but instead you walked over to me, patted my head and said, 'I believe in you.'"

Ah, she was crying again. How lucky was she to be in the home of people who still believed in her, still have undying love for her, and are willing to support her. She smiled and clapped her hands, determined to do everything she could to make the world better once more.

"I thank you both so much," Moon smiled, "You both lit a fire in me and now I will forever be motivated!"

She stood and revealed herself in front of the elders. Black hair faded to white and removing the cloth over her lips, she bowed to them.

"May the blessings of my moon protect you and yours and may my brother's sun ease all your pains and sufferings."

The sun was beginning to set and he was still searching for her.

Daniels Barrett had been running around looking for Moon. He didn't know what exactly he said to cause her to run away from him, but he figured it was when he said he didn't believe in the Moon Goddess. Was he supposed to lie? He had a feeling she was a true loyalist of the Goddess, but he had to be honest.

So, running around his town and asking his people if they've seen the female, he was led to the house of an elder couple. Outside the home stood the statue of the Moon Goddess in white.

He remembered he was four when his great grandparents died holding the image of her face. They still whispered her name, their prayer until there was no breath left. They didn't even said their goodbyes to him. They only cared for their Moon Goddess, a woman who cared little for them.

He stared at the statue for a moment as he relieved that moment in his life. As he took a step forward, the door opened to reveal the female he was looking for.

Long black hair and purple eyes, the female stared at him before bowing to the elders. She thanked them again and paused before him. Daniels wanted to reach out and hold her arm, but she bowed to him as well.

"I thank you for letting me accompany you today," Moon smiled behind her covering, "I wish the best for you and your future."

"Moon…" He whispered, but she turned to walk by him and he turned to reach out to stop her, but he pulled back. Watching her walk away from him shouldn't hurt. Many women walked away from him and some even wouldn't leave. Yet, none of them made him feel like his heart was being pulled thin.

"Sir Daniels Barrett," The elders greeted him and he forced himself to turn around to bow to them.

"Is she alright?" He decided to ask.

"She will be fine, Sir," the elder female crinkled her eyes, "She is special. Please be kind to her."

That felt like a slap to his face. Nodding, he left back to his home. He stared at the outfit he had bought for the female laid out on the table. Maybe there was still time for him to reach her.

'Maybe…'

"Brother," Matthew strutted in, "Josiah told me Sir Eddrick of Northham will be visiting tomorrow."

The youngest looked around and frowned a bit. He took at look at his brother's face and he had to blink from what he saw.

"Brother… She left and you are… You just met her?! Don't tell me you love her?! I was only joking about 'getting her first'! Ah, don't tell me you are heartbroken now," Matthew shook his head and his brother turned to him with narrowed eyes. The only words he heard that night was two words.

"Shut up."

Following the forest on the outskirts of the cities, she followed the essence of her deer. Because she did not know much of the world, her dear animals were helping to guide her to the cities. They walked through the dry brush and came upon a new place.

Looking around at the dirt floors and dusty homes, she wondered how many people lived in this city.

The Moon Goddess came upon people screaming. Her eyes widened and she quickly rushed over to see what was happening. Parents and children were crying, trying to reach one another as men were pulling them away. Her heart was hurting and she had to do something!

"Stop! What are you doing? Let them go."

Everyone turned to her and stared.

"Ahahaha! This pretty girl is telling us what to do? Who do you think you are?" One of the men spoke up and she narrowed her eyes at him.

"And who do you think you are?" She took steps forward, "Separating families, for what? Can you not see they are in pain?!"

"Can you not see we are doing our job?" The man retorted, "Oi, you, take her with us so Sir Jordan Meek can talk some sense into her or make her his mistress. Whichever, I don't care."

"What!" She saw a man walked toward her and she stepped back with fisted hands.

She was no fighter. Here werewolf was the one to take care of these things, but she had none. There was no one who would protect her now. Backing up slowly, she bumped into another man who grabbed her arms. She struggled in the hold and tried to shake the man off her, but the grip tightened.

"Hey! Let me go!"

"You heard the lady," a man with black hair and hazel eyes spoke up, "Hello darling. I told you to wait at home."

The man grinned and waved the men off, letting her go. She furrowed her brows, but the man pulled her to the side.

"Is your arms okay? He didn't squeeze you too hard, right?" She touched where the man held and hummed.

"Bruised, but I will be fine. Who are you?"

"Names Ryton Yu," he glanced at the people watching and he pulled her close to whisper, "I get what you want to do, but it would only make things worse. They would work the kid harder. Let it go. I will watch over him and the others. I promise."

"Others? Wait, work? They are using children to work?" she whispered back flabberguasted.

"Hm? Uh… Everyone knows about how things work here in Winterhallow," He observed her for a moment, "I can ask them to bring you along to see, but you will have to play along being a couple."

"That is fine, darling," she smiled and Ryton laughed kissing her forehead.
