The white haired man searched her sweaty face and touched to feel how cold she was. Quickly closing his umbrella, he picked her up into his arms and rushed to his clinic. Entering his place, he dropped his bag and umbrella, before settling the female on the couch.
Quickly grabbing towels and warming up a bath, he wiped the female as dry as he could. He looked at her feet to see some blood caked on them. Stopping the water from overfilling the bath, he grabbed the tweezers to pull the splinters out and dried up the blood. He carried her to the bath and carefully dunked her in.
He wet the cloth and wiped her face, warming the coldness of her face.
"What is your name?" She whispered and he sighed relieved.
"Cayden James, miss. What is yours? Are you feeling alright?"
"Moon is fine," the female smiled and looked down to see her clothes flowing in the warm bath and the cloth wiping her face.
She stared at him with her purple eyes and Cayden thought he saw them sparkle or glitter. Unsure himself, he continued to drain some water out, only to fill it with slightly hot water once more. He checked her forehead, smooth as porcelain, before looking through his clothes.
He never received anyone who was in her condition, so he did not have any spare clothing for women or men. All he had was his own clothes. Grabbing one of his shirts and bottoms, he brought it with him to the bath. Expecting the female to still be seated, he dropped what he was holding to reach the standing female.
"Miss Moon," he held a hand in one and the other braced behind her back, "You shouldn't be standing. Your condition-"
The Moon Goddess wanted to get out of the bath. It was nice and all, but she didn't like her clothes also being wet. So standing, she had thought it was a good idea, until hands were holding her. She couldn't help smiling at the man's worry and concerns.
'So kind, he is. Yet, will he be like the others and hate me as well?'
As Cayden was speaking, she attempted to lift her leg over the bath, but her mind and body were not following. She barely lifted her leg, and her body was already moving forward. Therefore, she stumbled like a cliché romance and ended up bringing the kind man down with her.
Her drenched clothes were wetting his and she groaned.
Silence.
She blinked and blinked to see where her face was and where her hands were. One hand to her side, but the other was on his hip. Her face was against his abdomen and her mouth was-
She pushed herself off quickly, pausing to rub her dizzy head. She had not felt sick before and so it must be because she was losing her powers to feel like this. Her face was cupped and she blinked heavy lidded at the man with blue eyes. His eyes narrowed slightly, assessing her face and she worried her face covering was too translucent that the man saw who she was.
"Sir Cayden," she spoke softly, "Do you believe in the Moon Goddess?"
Cayden had not been asked that for a long time, so to hear a strange female just ask that surprised him. Moon, the female before him, had her entire body drenched and the covering on her face was stuck to her lips.
"I brought clothes for you to change into. Do you need help?" He questioned and she sighed looking away.
"It is alright. I will leave, Sir Cayden. Thank you for helping me."
She pushed away from him and pushed herself up. Ah, the Moon Goddess had to find another. She really should just start with that question. Usually, she would not need to. All she had to do was feel their love for her without words, but she could barely feel much now.
'I am losing too much,' she worried, 'Brother, what will I do?'
"Miss Moon," Cayden stepped before her, stopping her from leaving, "Please. I am a doctor. I cannot in good conscience let you leave. Please."
She sighed and shook her head, but he moved to grab the dry outfit on the floor.
"Please, Miss Moon. We can pray to her after."
The clothes were pushed into her hands and the door closed behind Cayden. The Moon Goddess stared at the door and then the clothes. He mentioned praying afterwards, so…
'Does that mean he is a believer?' She wondered and hoped to all hope that yes, he was.
Changing into the clothes, she made sure to still have her mouth covered. She squeezed out the water from her dress and undergarments. Sighing, she realized she did not know what to do after this. Her powers usually helped, but she barely had any left. She frowned deeply.
'Was I that dependent on my powers?'
There was a knock on the door and she went to open it. Cayden looked at her, seeing she had changed, and smiled. He looked over to the wet clothes and went to grab them.
"I'll hang it to dry, Miss Moon. I prepared tea for you."
She smiled and followed this kind man and drank from the tea. The room had the smell of the forest and spice. There were hanging herbs, books, and drawings on one end of the room. There were stairs leading up to the second story where the kind man with glasses was. She watched him clip her outfit over a bucket with towels.
She then saw her underwear in the man's hand. His cheeks were flushed and she grinned, seeing he was trying not to look at the panty. It ended with her undergarment hung haphazardly.
"How is the tea?" Cayden questioned and moved to refill her cup.
"Thank you," she smiled, "It taste delicious. The smell in here…"
"Ah, I had complaints. I apologize, Miss Moon."
"No," she inhaled deeply and closed her eyes, "It reminds me of the forest and the land."
