The old woman stared at him for a long time, so long that even the orange tabby wanted to leave his arms. Letting the cat go, he stood his ground. He could hear footsteps nearing around him, but he didn't waver. Rei Solis would make sure everyone was doing well. He wasn't like his father. He won't let anyone be more than another.

That was wrong.

"We need much help, Little Solis. You said you spoke with your father about our water? What was the outcome?"

"I… can't say what is his decision," Rei hesitated but shook his head with determination, "But I will tell you I will do my best to make sure you have what you need, Madame."

"Heh, he must be proud of you," the old woman stood up, "Come. Let me show you this side of town."
