Taking Out Some Trash Part 2

Dog and Dean slowly descended down the cable into the black abyss below them. While they were slowly descending Eve was pulling Lilly along, looking for the best vantage point. She already heard that that Dog guy had enhanced smell which would mean he could easily pick up on Lilly's scent.

But because he was relying on his smell, this meant he would be using his only advantage. This gave Eve an edge over the situation. At least, this is how Eve saw it. And that was why Eve was currently looking for the one thing that could allow her to take advantage of this situation. Although one could ask: Why was she not trying to confront them head-on? This was because she promised to protect Lilly. Eve only knew what they said and not what they had for equipment. If they had some kind of weapon that could pierce through her and hit Lilly, her chances of entering X-Cyber City would be lost. Thus she had to come up with a new idea.

And that idea…. Eve stopped in front of a lab with a sealed door and pried it open, making lots of noise in the process. This caused Lilly's face to pale even more. She couldn't even stop herself from saying "Shh" as she did not want the men to find them.

"Lilly, close your eyes. This might get a little disgusting." Eve said and without waiting for Lilly's reply as she grabbed a lab coat from the wall and then picked up the corpse off the ground and sat it on a stool. She then rolled it towards the corner of the room.

"Get behind me and kneel down. Try not to let any part of your body be visible." Eve ordered and waited for Lilly to do as she said. "This might get uncomfortable." Eve pressed herself up against Lilly as she pulled the corpse off the stool and placed it on the floor folding its knees gently to its chest.

She had skipped many corpses while she went room to room and chose this corpse for a reason, it was female. Since they were looking for a female, she figured she would give them what they were looking for. She draped a lab coat from the wall over them and the top of the corpse's head. Eve felt really bad for what she was doing as she softly whispered: "Forgive me..."

Back at the elevator shaft, Dog and Dean finally arrived and were standing on top of the pile of mummified corpses. "The fuck is this!? Dog, are you sure this chick is on this floor?"

"Yeah, although I can mainly only smell the stench of death right now, I can still smell the scent of the girl mixed in. She is somewhere on this floor." Dog replied.

"Fuck! Alright, let's go." Dean looked at the face under his foot and frowned. He quickly made his way to the hallway that was clear, following after Dog.

The two continued down the hall, taking it slow while Dog kept his nose in the air. "This way. But don't touch the sides. There is a strange plant here..." Dean quickly reeled in his arms and walked in the middle of the hall as Dog's words.

Dog followed Lilly's faint scent through the twists and turns of the hallways until he finally picked up on a strong fresh scent. "She's close."

Dog's voice was not low. He spoke loudly on purpose to see if the girl would make a noise. But he was disappointed when he heard nothing. Little did he know, said girl, was clinging to Eve's back, gripping the armor with her hands, biting her lip. Eve, on the other hand, inwardly smiled and waited patiently for the two men to come towards the lab room they were in. Just a little closer, she thought as she listened to the footsteps of the two men walking down the hallway.

One step after the next, they finally came to a stop in front of the open door of the lab they were hiding in. The room was very dark, and only the dim light of their flashlights was lighting the way. "Dog, go inside and drag her out," Dean ordered. He did not know why but he felt something was off. He was always a cautious man, so he was not going to risk going into the darkroom without someone checking it out first.

"Leave it to me, Dean. Pretty soon, you will be able to taste your new wife." Dog grinned as he walked into the lab room. He did not smell anything out of the ordinary. But as he walked around the lab table to the dark corner of the room, he saw a girl huddled on the floor shivering. When he saw this, Dog couldn't help but become excited as he licked his lips.

"Come on and get up, no point in just sitting there. You will live a good life as one of Dean's wives. I heard he can really make a girl scream. Haha!" Dog swaggered over and went to reach down to grab the girl, but it was then that his nose twitched, and he felt something was very wrong.

"Too late!" Eve's voice came from behind the corpse as she pulled the trigger on her gun. The sound of her weapon echoed through the lab room and the hallway. Dog who was staring at the glowing eye just past the now headless corpse fell to the ground with part of his head missing. His only thought was, why did I not think it was an A.I.? The reason he felt something was wrong was because along with the scent of the girl was the scent of oil, just like in the truck. He now understood that they were tricked!

"Shit, Dog! Fuck!" Dean quickly turned and ran. He did not care about trying to avenge his comrades. He liked to boast and act tough, but deep down, he would never face the unknown!

Eve watched the heat signature of the man running down the hall and fired a couple of shots at him, riddling the wall with holes. She clicked her imaginary tongue when she saw that the walls were too thick to penetrate. She wanted to get up and give chase right away, but she couldn't leave Lilly behind. Instead, she turned to Lilly, who was still slightly pale, and passed her a gun. "Come, we need to make sure that trash bastard is dead too."

Lilly looked up at Eve and slowly nodded her head as she took the weapon. Seeing how Eve was willing to trust her with a weapon gave Lilly a bit more courage. "Let's get rid of him and get out of here."
