[Mikadzuki's Headquarters]

Meanwhile, something had happened back at the Mikadzuki headquarters. The Mikadzukis were short on time, so they went to an unknown room, particularly to send someone on a mission.

"Esya'r! " Two of the Mikadzuki men were calling for a man named Esya'r. Then, unexpectedly, Esya'r threw some kind of twin-blade directly at them. Before even a second passed, the blade was caught by the Mikadzuki before it tear them to shreds.

One of the Mikadzuki grabbed the twin-blade  that was thrown at them and threw it back at Esya'r. Esya'r caught his blade with ease without even looking at it.

Esya'r was in the corner, shrouded by darkness.

"What do you want? If you're here to disturb my slumber, then you'd better leave! "

"We have a mission for you!"

"What mission? Whom do you want me to kill? "

"Not an assassination, but more of a heist mission."

Esya'r was finally awoken from his slumber because of the mission that was given by the Mikadzukis that were plotting to steal something that was connected to their plans to revive their gods. They commissioned Esya'r to do the job.

Akira had already packed his things. His system still worked to store his items and belongings, however, he could not see his stats or even his skills. After that, he felt something was wrong. He remembered that he had Rozori's phone, so he went to see him and give it to him.

After he met with Rozori, Rozori laughed and said he didn't mind if Akira kept the phone. He didn't want to use the phone, to begin with. It was a new phone that he had just bought before having plans to go to the mall. So he insisted that Akira should keep everything except his credit card.

He knew Akira didn't know how to pay for his credit card nor did he know when to pay it, so he asked Akira to give it to him so he wouldn't face the burden of financial expenses.

Akira gave the credit card back, and so, Akira bowed to him one last time as a thank you. Akira also asked if he could train him in martial arts even if he wasn't in the squad.

Rozori gave a nod and told Akira to ask him whatever he wanted and visit the squad. Akira, with a delighted smile, then headed off outside, going to the king's castle.

[12 minutes later]

Akira had finally arrived at the king's castle. He inhaled the air and exhaled, trying to calm himself.

Akira didn't take the elevator because his backpack was too large and heavy, so he made his way up the stairs. On the 53rd floor, Akira finally made it and was a little bit exhausted.

Akira was then asked to put his backpack on the floor in front of the office door. Akira dropped his backpack and went into the king's office.

"Ah, Akira, I was waiting for you! "

"So, what do you want to assign me next?"

"To join another squad." without hesitation, the king said it bluntly.

"HELL NO!" To begin with, Akira wanted to solo, but the king assigned him to join a squad and made it forceful, considering it was the king's exclusive mission.

Despite the fact that he said he wanted to solo, he had fun times with the squad and he enjoyed it.

"Listen, I didn't know the red Phoenix squad was on vacation. So I thought that you might get bored with no missions around." The king smiled gently as he knew how Akira would feel.

"So I asked you to join a squad that had not been on vacation. This squad was the most wanted on the warriors' "want to join" list. I'd say, mostly it is in the top 3." The king boasted about someone's squad.

"What squad?"

"The Thousand Blades squad, led by Kamui Hirohito."

"Is he strong? I mean, he is a general, is he as strong as Sazoru? "Akira wondered.

"Well, no need to spoil it; you'll find out soon enough."

Akira was told to sign a paper to join the Thousand Blades squad. Akira then heard silent footsteps and a scent behind him, like someone was eavesdropping on their conversation. After Akira signed the paper, he went out to check, and no one was there.

Akira scratched his head, thinking it was just an assistant. Akira put on his backpack and left the castle.

[3 minutes later]

Akira sauntered while looking at the piece of paper that had the squad's headquarters written on it. Akira then came across a punk in the alleyway who was sitting on a rooftop ledge.

The punk had blonde hair and wore jewelry on his ears, nose, and hands. He wore a black jacket with many stickers and gave off a delinquent vibe.

"Yo yo, whatcha got in that bag?"

"None of your business." Akira ignored the punk and continued on his way to the headquarters.

"Listen up, mate. This is my turf, my business, so you better show whatcha got in that thing!" The man drew out his blade and pointed it at Akira's neck.

Akira smiled and dropped his backpack. In a brief moment, he clenched his fist and was about to teach the punk a lesson. As his fist was about to land on his face, the punk vanished.

Without a trace of Akira's sensing him, he had no footsteps, no sound, and it was like he had teleported.

The punk went behind him, swinging his blade. Akira ducked and tried to shake his balance by hitting him on the leg to make him fall.

The punk teleported again and appeared on the rooftop, sitting while watching him.

"Nice moves. Betcha trained hard, ain'tcha?" The punk commended him and believed he had trained hard.

"Cha, cha, cha. To you too, a nice ability you got there! " Akira praised the punk.

The punk's blade shone blue, and he released an energy slash toward Akira. Akira repelled the blast by summoning his scythe and fending it off to the right.

Akira crouched while increasing the force of his jump. Akira launched like a bullet and made the punk teleport in shock. He was more scared of Akira's speed than he underestimated him, thinking that he would be just a regular warrior.

As the punk's sweat rolled down his face. He teleported away and escaped.

Akira was perplexed by the punk. He could tell he didn't mean anything bad to Akira. When he was taken by surprise, the punk's wig was about to come off. Akira thought he had gone through a stylish habit and tried wrangling pedestrians.

Akira erased his scythe and went back to the backpack he had just dropped, continuing his way toward the Thousand Blades squad headquarters...

"Hmph, not bad. Seems like I found myself a friend. Hehe, can't wait to meet him again! " Said the punk, as he removed his wig.
